The geology is just so amazing you could almost be on an entirely different planet. I can see why the filmed interstella sequences there. Your very lucky to have that as your back yard .
I was completely captivated by your film and your story telling of Iceland for hours tonight. I can move again so I'm going to bed now. I may need to cry a little, the marvels on this planet have a deep effect on me. Thank you for so much for this. I feel educated, joyful and inspired. Very good content.
Another fascinating episode Mads and I cant think of ever seeing a location series that has offered up so much variety as much as yours. Can see why the final images of the caves will be special when their structure changes due to the climate and the images will never be replicated. Great images and loved the contrasts and shapes
Perfect timing :) Heading over to Iceland from here in Aussie around late January/early February so this info is much appreciated, thanks Mads :)) Have watched all your videos on Iceland too, great stuff and very informative, cheers :)
Amazing video Mads and on the right moment for me ....... the last week of november i will visit an ice cave in Iceland ...... again many thanks for your tips !!!!!!
Such an interesting and educational video, Mads. How you managed to take such lovely images in those conditions is truly amazing. Thank you for sharing.
Hi Mads. What a fabulous location ! I don't imagine it's an easy place to photograph but I guess that's secondary to the experience of being there. Would love to visit one day. Thank you for sharing Mads.
The main reason is you can't really use them as I often mix and blend many exposures, secondary it doesn't look good in the presentation of the photo, thirdly I don't want the presentation to be about the settings but about the photo itself :)
Mads Peter Iversen But I could get an ideia of what settings you use to get a certain effect. I am going to Iceland for Christmas holidays and are seeing your videos on a loop and always getting goose bumps Thanks a lot for that
Much props to you Mads, I didn't expect there to be anything as obviously dangerous until you said this, great call, wouldn't like to be flattened by some ice, then have my body appear on the internet embedded in ice... Thumbs up for this one now I want to go!!
Now THAT was a great episode. I would never actually go into one of those damn caves - it would scare the bejesus out of me - but they are absolutely spectacular.
Fantastic as ever Mads. On my one ice cave visit it was flooded. To be fair we were offered a full refund prior to departing, but decided to visit anyway. The 4x4 ride was unforgettable. The flooded cave less so. I’ll be sure to book another next time I’m in Iceland 😊
oh man that looks so impressive! that is truly stunning! always a pleasure to watch great videos like this! thanks for sharing so much great content with us
Amazing shots Mads! Always waiting for your epic videos...! Did you have to wait for some people to leave the place or did each person have their turn to take some pictures?
Hi Mads, Appreciate your vedio for this beatiful landscape, for the ice cave, would you kindly advise which one is the best if I could only visit one and kindly advise the link of company for the tour. Thanks
What is the best time of day to do a tour (for best photographs)? i would think mid-day with the brightest light above the glacier? Looks like their first tour is 08:30, and their last is 16:00
I guess I will never have a chance to do this but thanks to this great video I can follow the camera to somehow experience it. I'm making a video about Iceland food. Please is it OK for me to use 2-3 seconds of your video in my intro part with a clear link to this whole video? I really want to show how awesome Iceland is through this. Thank you 🙏
Hi Mads. Thanks for the great video. I have a window of time at the beginning of March 2022. Do you know if there will be enough daylight to do photos at the waterfalls and caves ? I plan on doing some Northern lights of course
You mention November to March for ice caves but how does that compare with the rest of Iceland locations. For example. if one visits in March, will the other Iceland locations outside the caves be very cold, rainy, not much water in the waterfalls, weak auroras... and the caves being too dirty because of all the ice melting/end of visit season? I'm trying to figure out one season/month where most locations that you show in your Iceland videos look their best and the weather is not too adverse to capture them :-) Unsure if this is possible but certainly would like to try.The cave/photo with the two exits is epic by the way:-)
Mads Peter Iversen Tnx Man, Oct is also around the corner - but I don't think I can make it this October. Would you say 2 weeks are enough to do all locations (would you advise more or less?).
Might be a silly question, but when taking photo's in daylight, there is a strong white light presence in some shots, have you or is it possible to go to these caves either sunrise/sunset if the sky was say on fire with deep oranges/reds, could that then be captured in the caves the contrasts between a fire and ice look might be a potential shot with suck bold colour contrasts?
Hi Mads, I'm a US based landscape photographer leaving for Iceland in early March and would love to do an ice cave tour. Can you suggest any tour guides that are specific to photography/photographers?
Great video as per usual, Mads i need to thank you for the advice you gave me a few weeks ago, i nearly changed the dates of my iceland trip because of the full moon when we were going. However you told me the northern lights would still be visable, and boy were you right, we witnessed the most amazing aurora at the eystrahorn, thanks again, and keep up the good work , here is a link to one of my pics www.flickr.com/photos/76205325@N03/30047863187/in/dateposted/

That certainly answers the "Iceland has been done to death" business. Thanks Mads, my Icelandic bucket list just keeps on growing!
Super video, I will probably never get to visit one of these natural wonders, but you made it come to life for me. Thanks again
The geology is just so amazing you could almost be on an entirely different planet. I can see why the filmed interstella sequences there. Your very lucky to have that as your back yard .
Sadly it is not my backyard as I live in Denmark ;)
@@MadsPeterIversen oh right i always forget that... it would be cool to see more of Denmark I know very little about it.
The look amazing these Ice caves!!! I will definitely go on one of these tours, when I will go tot Iceland some day!!! Love the last picture!!!
Just beautiful caves.
Wonderful video and great images Mads.
I was completely captivated by your film and your story telling of Iceland for hours tonight. I can move again so I'm going to bed now. Excellent video Mads, and an amazing selection of images. Hoping to visit the ice caves next January so this was invaluable.
You are much welcome, Otto!

Thank you as always! :D

Such a majestic part of Iceland - not the most famous but definitely one of the most idyllic and memorable
Is really really amazind photography congratulations
Hi Mads. What a fabulous location ! I don't imagine it's an easy place to photograph but I guess that's secondary to the experience of being there. Would love to visit one day. Thank you for sharing Mads.
Goosebumps seeing your final results.
Best feeling ever! :)
this video makes me want to visit Iceland
So beautiful! The glacier tours are very expensive but one day I am sure we will go ! Great video!
It's a joy..👏...everytime you bring out a new video...thanks Mads....hope to meet you on one of your workshops in the future.

Truely Amazing!!
More beautiful than I could ever imagine...yes the human element how else could we ever show the grandeur of this ever changing planet ...
Another amazing video Mads, hope you're having fun over in the Faroes , i just booked my flights to there today for next year :-)
Having great fun thanks a lot, Mark :)
Stunning video
Amazing video and photos for start
Why did stop putting the settings in the photos, like you did in the early videos from Iceland?
The main reason is you can't really use them as I often mix and blend many exposures, secondary it doesn't look good in the presentation of the photo, thirdly I don't want the presentation to be about the settings but about the photo itself :)

As long as you go with experienced guides they're quite safe :)

Superb !
Great video Mads
Thanks a lot, Halli! You're a great model ;)
Awesome Mads!!
Amazing shots Mads! Always waiting for your epic videos...! Did you have to wait for some people to leave the place or did each person have their turn to take some pictures?
Most people had their turn :)
Informative video. I did like the idea of using a photo tour company that is amenable to photographers needs...Will consider this for February trip.
AWESOME Mads.
This is just amazing
Awesome !!
nice cave🙂
amazing!!
Wow Fantastic!!! :)
Hi Mads, Appreciate your vedio for this beatiful landscape, for the ice cave, would you kindly advise which one is the best if I could only visit one and kindly advise the link of company for the tour. Thanks
Haven't you been at the Grand Canyon? I can't find a video from about it.
Nope, haven't been there. Would love to, but it's a hard one to photograph ;)
What is the best time of day to do a tour (for best photographs)? i would think mid-day with the brightest light above the glacier? Looks like their first tour is 08:30, and their last is 16:00
That would be my guess too. For the most part I don't think it matters too much. You'll just have to increase the shutterspeed :)
Thank you 🙏

Everything is always accessible all year round beside the highlands. I'd go for start of October. That's where you get most bang for buck :)
Mads Peter Iversen Tnx Man, Oct is also around the corner - but I don't think I can make it this October. Would you say 2 weeks are enough to do all locations (would you advise more or less?).
Hello Mad,
Is that true, that - ice cave visits are happening only in the colder seasons - from late autumn to early spring?
Thank You!
Mads, sorry for my typo... -_-
Yes that is true, that's what I said in the video ;)
Hi Márk, katlatrack.is/ offer Ice Cave tours year round, they operate closer to Reykjavík in Mýrdalsjökull.
ua-cam.com/video/2MEFA3t57T4/v-deo.html
красота
Is it worth visiting in early September? Thanks.
@@saka2456 yes, but not for ice caves
Hi, I would like to ask is this the crystal ice cave please?
Might be a silly question, but when taking photo's in daylight, there is a strong white light presence in some shots, have you or is it possible to go to these caves either sunrise/sunset if the sky was say on fire with deep oranges/reds, could that then be captured in the caves the contrasts between a fire and ice look might be a potential shot with suck bold colour contrasts?
I am not sure about that, Carlos. Maybe you could contact Guide to Iceland for a private tour.
Lol who does that one Dislike xDD so incredible video keep it up !!
is early october too early to see any caves or tours?
Yes, from my knowledge
Hi Mads, I'm a US based landscape photographer leaving for Iceland in early March and would love to do an ice cave tour. Can you suggest any tour guides that are specific to photography/photographers?
Hi, nope sorry. Don't know anyone. We always use Guide to Iceland on a special tour.
Has anyone done a cave tour in mid-October? Trying to see if that is possible.
Is it possible to visit ice caves in May?
Sadly not, the caves are way too unstable...
Which tour is this ? Which area?
This is footage from many different tours, check the links below :)
I'll tried to download the map for Iceland, being block by my browser........... any idea ????
Great video as per usual, Mads i need to thank you for the advice you gave me a few weeks ago, i nearly changed the dates of my iceland trip because of the full moon when we were going. When visiting this caves wear the cloves that you want to be buried with because it can become your grave and nobody will be able to undig you.
Its probably all gonna melt soon...
Possible to enter ice caves around 7th April?
Most likely not.
