Causality is not enough to understand the laws of nature! Simply because the issue is much more complex than that. Scientifically studying a phenomenon requires studying causes and their sequence, but that is not enough to understand the mechanism of the phenomenon itself. The following example may be easier to understand: Suppose humans suddenly found a new moon orbiting the Earth and having atmospheric layers similar to Earth's and then landed on it to study it. Studying the physical phenomena on that moon would not be enough to build a valuable theory that explains the reason for the appearance of that moon and the mechanism of its work (behind the construction of that moon is a deeper logic than merely studying causality on that moon). Meaning that studying causality in a system is not enough to understand that system and build a reliable theory, especially if the system is very complex (this requires an approach different from their superficial way of thinking).
