I'm so happy i found this. Been a Jackson fan for over 50 years. His first record was when i began listening to him and never stopped. He's that special to me.
Adam (Song for A Friend) is a haunting and powerful song. Browne takes an autobiographical story of a friend who died too young (many of us have had such a friend) and makes it into a song of human existence and one's mortality. "He stopped his singing in the middle of his song." It is truly brilliant
Jamaica was the lovely one, I played her well As we lay in the tall grass where the shadows fell Hiding from the children so they would not tell We would stay there 'till her sister rang the evening bell. ❤
I have this album. Along with everything else from the 60's, 70's and 80's... my father's legacy of music. Over 1000 albums and I trying to refurbish the Pioneer system I grew up crying and listening to. CS-99a/ 4 of em.. Had the QX949A refurbished by a couple ole intelligent guys I got 2 new 15's , but asking if anyone has crossovers,

👍👍👍
Jackson was the embodiment of the Laurel Canyon creative epoch - the veritable tear ducts of a generation.

As the Eagles sang. " I once knew a man, very talented guy. He'd sing for the people and people would cry" .

Same here. I remember asking, “How old is he?” He looks so young on the album cover. I thought he was my age.
