Jenna McGeoghegan recommends The Irish Pagan School:
"The classes are deeply engaging and so full of authentic trustworthy resources for further study. The teachers are all knowledgeable in their fields and the school promotes native Irish voices. The scholarship of the materials is second to none. This can be a true academic journey, or a fully spiritual experience, or both depending on how you approach it. The foundation classes are exceptional. The instructors do not hand you a pre packaged religious plan as so many do. They provide background and encouragement for personal study and spiritual growth. True mentorship."

Thanks so much to both of you. This was both fantastic to learn about and hugely moving and inspiring to learn a little about Irish women who refused to give up in the face of unimaginable hardship.

What a beautiful video, thank you so much. I went over to the Crafty Cailleach and that was a beautiful introduction, thank you, Lora.
Hearing your voices all the way across the world in Melbourne, Australia - what an honour.

I find these videos to be a great resource because they explain the "why" of a practice. The fact that widows poured lead through the hole in a key is interesting, but an explanation of the cultural significance of a widow and of her key is enlightening.

Thank you both for the video I hope it helps others that don't know about widows keys. My grandmother's sister the keys were passed down to my 4 aunts on my mother's side each of them got one.

brilliant! Geraldine is such a gem… as is Lora of course, but we all know that already 😊. I did laugh out loud when Lora said “ I’m not known for my kindness - I’m known for my honest.” Good stuff.

Thank you for a terrific discussion! It would be interesting to do the wax through the key exercise with a small group of people, have each person write down what they see without telling the group, and then reveal what they saw and talk about what it means to them.
Thank you for the extraordinary resources you provide and the hard work you do.💚

Yesterday a key arrived from my Grandma, passed on less than a year ago, a widow of thirty years who did scrap to keep her family alive. She had a wall of keys she admired and found their way to her, only as display but they were prominent and one of her pride & joys. I was surprised to see a couple of the of keys arrive to me because I hadn't requested them. As I was wandering around the internet trying to learn more about the keys, I clicked on this latest video and the key Geraldine uses is literally identical to the key that caught my interest the most. It seems like a very good sign to start some studying and focus at IPS again!

That was wonderful and truly beautiful. I deeply appreciate the both of you taking your time to make this video, to share your history and culture with everyone. That was incredible. Again, thank you.
As an aside, I have always been appreciative of a good key. When I was small I used to steal the skeleton keys (That's what we call them) out of the furniture. They were my keys to other worlds. However my parents insisted on getting them back. "Oh well, no Middle Earth today."

Hi Lora and Geraldine. I only heard about the significance of a skeleton key belonging to a Widow in very recent years. I was wondering what it was all about. Thank you ☺️

Hi! I enjoyed this video and am eager to learn more and will pay for the class when I get the money. Ironically I had gotten a tarot reading from my friend who also follows The Morrigan, this past Sunday asking for guidance in my next steps in life and on my path with her. Also, I am interested in the youtube channel Lora mentioned but due to youtube's poor closed captions and my audio processing issues (mixed with poor spelling skills), I'm having a problem finding it :c. I look forward to more videos regardless :3

Where y’all saw a woman, I saw a tree on a hill! :D Thank you for this video! I’ve already been using wax in water for divination, but I never knew about the widows’ key! It seems inappropriate for me to obtain one not from my family, but who knows? Perhaps one will show up in my life in a respectful manner?

Lora & Geraldine, the concept of learning your own symbology was difficult for me to accept. It's a simple enough thing to tell a person, "images will mean something different to each person," but to actually listen to your intuition and tap into something beyond the image..... that takes working. I appreciate that you mention this and give examples of how people may view the wax or tea leaves differently. The divination tool or method isn't what is important, it is what the person is tapping into.
    Wonderful video and so appreciated!

that is definitely something that comes with time and practice. It's good to know and understand commonly agreed meanings for symbols etc but you must make it relevant to your life, your community and experience, and your intuition.

So interesting. No keys passed to women in my family from my Ireland born great grandmother. When in Ireland if I’m an at antique store and feel “called” by an old key would it be meaningful to buy it? Or should I follow a different divination path like fire? I use tarot and pendulum sometimes too., thanks for this beautiful talk. I have bought a course before on ips. Thanks for sharing your work and psssion

If you see one you like buy it, and rescue it :) honestly, people were very practical about these things.

I have a Widow's key. It was my Mom's key. The holes aren't as big as the ones in your keys. Could I use it in the same way? I have a picture of it but I couldn't share it here in the comments.

Absolutely, Keys changed a lot over time but I see no reason why the principle wouldn't remain the same
