Hi, Carly! Hope all is well! Thank you for sharing your thoughts, opinions, and experiences! Your message is very positive, inspiring, and educational. It is very nice to see someone spending time towards something that can benefit others and not just yourself. I'm certain your father is very proud of you and your mother as well, from a special place. By being the best person you can be, you benefit your life, those around you, and you honor those who influenced your upbringing. Stay safe, stay healthy, and stay Carly! Pops
Thanks Pops. I have been self-doubting this new direction recently (even though I know in my heart it’s the right direction) so your comment is especially appreciated. x
Catching the feelings of anxiety as I go about my day.....being conscious of it and taking my self to a place of freedom otherwise I feel I am feeding an addiction to it. Knowing that the thought process has nothing to do with the here and now and often is about the future and the past. When I can calm my body I can be at ease and more productive and also happy when I don't wanna do anything. Happy New Year from a well traveled person from New Zealand
Anxiety is tough to deal with because it can so easily pull you into unconscious thought. Just by having conscious moments each day, you are incredibly strong mentally to be able to do that. The more you do it, the easier it gets as you are effectively rewiring your brain. It’s interesting that you say about calming your body too. This tells me that you are noticing the physical responses your body has from a place of awareness. That’s a powerful thing to be able to do. Happy New Year to you too. I hope 2025 is a great year for you.
Funnily enough, my New Year's resolution is to do ONE small thing every day to bring me closer to clearing up my home ... I got all my filing papers out on Monday, Tuesday I sorted them into six different piles (e.g Car, Elec bills, bank statements etc.) Wednesday I got up VERY late and had a break and today, Thursday, I filed away four of the piles - two more are going to be done tomorrow ... I also have SO many other things to sort out ... 😢😢😢 which sort of grinds me down ... little steps
Have you tried making a list for the week? This isn’t a tried and tested method yet but, this week, I wrote out the days, and then what I wanted to get done each day. So far, I’ve done everything on the list on the day I said I would. I’ve kept the list small so it’s easier to achieve but it feels good none the less.
@@TheCuriousCollective_Official yes I know what you mean but it's bloody cold here to lol 😁. But I've always fancied getting a small boat and doing some canals either UK our France
Peter: Do one at a time ... usually, when you have too many goals, you do NOTHING - but from your other comment I don't think this can really work. Negative doubters are not needed here 😊
@joline2730 that's were I am to many jobs and none of them being done. Nail on the head. My problem is I can talk myself out of doing something easier than doing something
I know how you feel. I have four rentals and one of them has sat empty for a year after problems I had with a tenant. I have to rent it out as fair accommodation that I would be happy to live in my self and always do so got a job ahead of me. Personally I think Carly was mad selling her house and should have rented it out and slowly worked on her new life with a passive income and also be in the situation that she could leverage the house as she needs to set up her self with a new life. That's what I have done after working as a freelancer for 35 years.
Loved the travel vlogs
