Thankfully, the show didn't dwell on the Ravenswood spin-off too much when Caleb returned in season 5. It's pretty much resolved by episode 11 and his relationship with Hanna is strong just like before. The thing with Miranda was so stupid. He seemed like more of a big brother figure to her. The only connection they had was a past life one, and that was so forced. It was nothing compared to his chemistry + love with Hanna.
Marianna Gonzales No, he just told her that Miranda died and he was seeing her "ghost" or whatever because she had unfinished business, and Hanna didn't even want to believe him. He didn't tell her anything about the pact or the Original Caleb and Miranda.
It's because Hanna is going through quite a lot with Alison coming back and Caleb seems to be the only one who listens to her. So she keeps coming back to him cuz she feels kinda safe with him Also, caleb isn't trying to win Hanna back because he isn't that kind of guy. He knows Hanna is with Travis, he knows he hurt her so he respects her decisions and isn't trying to pressure her into getting back with him, thats what I like most about caleb
To be fair, Caleb only broke up with Hanna because he didn't want her to be hurt by any of the confusion he felt over the past life stuff he experienced. And when he returns in season 5, he respects that she's with another guy. It's Hanna who makes the decision to break up with Travis because she knows she's still in love with Caleb. Anyway, the Ravenswood spin-off show was so weird.
No, it's a mixture of things. Caleb's depressed because of the confusion of everything he saw and heard in Ravenswood. And now he's back in town, he knows he hurt Hanna and that's tough for him because she was basically everything to him until he screwed up by leaving in season 4.
I think in my head i will always see this story : Caleb met hanna , he fell in love with her , they had a strong relationship but then were drove apart . After that he met this girl miranda. They had a instant connection , they were strongly tied up and he couldn't abandoned her so he left hanna . He fight for that girl but at the end just lost her. He lost this girl who were precious to him and now he go back to hanna to play the past , to feel like before but he can't , because nothing will ever be the same again. He's broken & a part of him died when miranda dissapeared. He's lost now and all he want is too see her again.....
You do realize that the only connection Caleb felt to Miranda was a past life one, right? It had nothing to do with a genuine relationship or actual feelings. None of it made sense because it wasn't the real him. It's pretty obvious the writers knew they had screwed up, because it's not really mentioned again in PLL. His only love that actually mattered in reality was Hanna.
