Just bought my 2021 Cactus Grey Ford Ranger XLT crew cab with lift and 33s from the dealer. I love it . just bought a livernois tuner , its on its way. I will be doing a stage 4 turbo and supporting mods. But first the tuner and tune and enjoy that for a while then do a mod at a time. I just hit 500 miles.
I just picked up a 2020 Lariat Super Crew FX4. I traded in a 2018 Colorado Crew Cab 4x4 on it. The Ranger definitely feels much quicker then the Colorado did. I definitely going to get a tune after seeing this video. But next is a body shop. Had it two weeks and someone keyed the side of it while I was getting my haircut....people suck.
That's true, the powertrain is way better than anything the competition offers on the lower end, and better than most on the high end. People complaining about prices of Lariats, but comparing XLT and XL's, there's better value.

I've got a 2019 Range XLT and that little motor will RIIIIP! I dragged with an Acura TLX recently and we were neck and neck up to 100mph. We eased up then since a traffic light was coming up. What all does a "tune up" entail? I'd love to get that extra 40+ hp with a tune up and 93 octane and then see what it'd do.
I’m enjoying my 19’ XLT RANGER! It’s slow on 87 in normal D mode, but I sure do love the power on 93 in S mode!!!! Massive difference in power. Wish I could have more, but I can’t throw away my power train warranty.
This makes me want a new ranger so bad. Lol the dealer around me wants 31000 for a 2019. 😭 But I did a lil digging and found a 2020 in orlando for 24,000 four door grey. Almost ready to pull the trigger

I am gonna order a XL Ranger FX4 in June 2020. Even though that will be still 7 months from now. What would you guys charge to tune my Ranger if I put the mods on it? I live near Dallas, but I would probably be interested in taking a trip down there in that time to have you do it,unless you guys might know someone up where I am at that could do the tuning for me . I am probably gonna need the shift points changed and such because I plane on smoothing out the intercooler pipes up from the stock junk, installing a new Turbonetics turbo if I can and a complete 3" stainless exhaust to this new beast in the months to come after I bring it home. Oh yeah! Love the video! Lot of great info you talked about!
not sure if you will see this or not but I have a 2022 ranger XL and I want to upgrade the halogen headlights to the lights that you have on yours. does the XLT have better headlights or did you get aftermarket ones?
Not worth it right now imo, there isn’t enough aftermarket parts to even make it “full bolt on” and even the famous ecoboost tuners aren’t touching it for some reason…
Don't think it will make more power with a manual the 10 speed auto is bad ass and has more gearing options. But it will make plenty of power in the bronco
I have a Lariat 4x4 are the AFE charge pipes worth the install with no other engine mods? I have read the entire air intake system that Ford put in place is superbly designed so no modifications needed.

2wd only? why the fuck would somebody lift it and put offroad tires on it? lmfao pavement princess.. That's cool the numbers you can get out of them. However, after driving one of these..they are too small, feel cheap, and the interior and exterior are ugly.
Ford took a small, lightweight economical pickup and turned it into an F-150. What happened to the small pickup of the 80's? I don't care about anything over a 150 hp 4 cylinder. No thanks, I'll stick with my older Ranger. Ford should be working on efficiency and fuel economy, not size and big horsepower. There is no reason Ford can't design a small pickup that would get 30-35 mpg if they put their mind to it. Inefficient vehicles are good for the fossil fuel industry and bad for consumers and the planet.
They could easily do that. The issue is, you are one of the only people asking for something like that. Not a common want or need. Most people that want that, buy an older one.
One has to also consider longevity of 4 banger sustaining extra power. Ranger is certainly slow pig with factory tune and somewhat an embarrassment since Ford uses asian spec small capacity 4 banger to power this rig.
What do you mean slow, slow compared to a Mystang GT, or a Ferrari, yeah sure it's slower than those, but compared to its competitors it has more power than everything else than the GM twins, and they are only slightly faster it has more usable lowend torque, that gives it almost best in class towing. So just because it is a turbocharged four cylinder, your brain can't get past that, must suck to be that stupid.
You clearly dont know anything about engines. Ford has been using the 2.3l since the 1970's and turbo charging them from the factory for nearly as long. So maybe all those "Asian Spec" engines should be called "Ford Spec"
How is the ranger an embarrassment? Its 2.3 makes more power then Toyota tacomes 3.5 by now that's a embarrassment to Toyota! Lol stupid fan boys that just talk out there buts.
The rangers are awesome trucks. And tuning is definitely necessary. The stock tune leaves a lot be desired. Just a simple tune wakes them up

Looking at this and the Tacoma. Kinda leaning towards the Ranger though. It seems the Ranger offers a better vehicle at a cheaper base price.
