    Do you keep all your benefits & incentive bonuses when switching over? Active to Reserve (Vice Versa)

    How long does it take to get approved via CWAY my application got submitted 01May and I still haven’t heard anything?

      Check CWAY Self service via BOL to see if there is an update. Also understand that quotas have to be available. If no quota is available then switch your job.

      The simple answer is you're in control of your own career vs the Navy choosing for you. You can deploy as you wish or go on AD orders via ADSW, ADT, or Direct Recall.

    I have a question for you, once your at your first duty station, can I opt out of active duty contract and switch to reserves. Just wondering

      Nope! But you can prepare your exit. It takes 2 years MINIMUM to successfully prepare yourself to leave the Navy.

    Can you cover EDM? I get that this stuff is my responsibility, but I'm struggling to understand what exactly to do and how not to mess it up.

      This would be a great topic and something that I'm actually about to go through myself since I am changing NRC (aka NOSC). I'll record my process and be sure to share here.

    I was wondering if you can help me become a reserve benefit advisor. I have asked around and no one can tell me how to start the process.

      Go to the US NAVY RESERVE COMMUNITY Facebook page. Ask your question there.

      It depends. If you are NOT affiliating with the SELRES and just doing IRR (no beenthen yes, you keep your current rate. However, if you choose to affiliate with the SELRES you will have to apply for your rate.

    Hello , I'm trying to make an educated decision on whether or not I want to do navy reserves , I'm currently not in the military, and my one big question is if I went to boot camp and went for A school after and then become a reservist ,do reservists get offered housing? I'd really not like it if I went through everything and return to my parents lol

    • @NavyTransitionCoach
      @NavyTransitionCoach  2 роки тому

      No, Reservist do not get a monthly housing allowance. You only get it when you are active duty or on active duty orders while in the Reserves.

    Can you still transition from navy reserve to active duty and still keep the time you been in the military from reserve?

    • @NavyTransitionCoach
      @NavyTransitionCoach  Рік тому +1

      Your Reserve time won't matter once you go back on active duty but yes. ALL of the time you served in the military will be on your DD214 once you leave active duty.
