Jac is going to be a superstar! She has a good hand for welding, and she can really wield a hammer! Maybe you can give her some lessons on the English wheel sometime. That usually takes people a few weeks to develop any kind of rhythm with - but Jac just might surprise us!
Hi Ron, .050' 3003 h-14 The process is very simple. Tight joint, tacked set welder at 60amps 1 pulse use 50 % argon 50 % Helium and just go at it top side first then back side. Full pedal all the way. All you to do is be consistent with your speed and tungsten position.
What, pretty young women aren't supposed to work in metal? Give me a break! I know of several that are ironworkers and sheetmetal workers, and very good hands. Just have to put them in jobs that won't kill them off at the start, let them get stronger, and respect their capabilities. Women generally have better endurance also, that's why they worked in manufacturing weapons of war. Good on you sir, for passing on your wealth of knowledge to any and all who are smart enough to realize trade schools are a great career choice!
This is the way to do it.. because she adds so much more to your teaching. Your a very knowledgeable " But VERY Dry " teacher.. Let's face it the girl adds life and dimension ! I was paying attention more FOR SURE !
Jealous...it shows. Maybe if she welded in Pilgrim Clothes you would comment on her welding.. Holy than thou ,people ...should live in Amish country where all is perfect.
@@proshaper Ah,I'm an old dog just reminiscing what I use-ta could! For someone starting out looking to save on space, and cost what are your thoughts on M.T.S or multiprocess welding machine. Also how do you like the everlast machines.
I have no experience using a multi process welder, so I really can't comment. I very much like my Everlast welders. I have 3 of them plus a plasma cutter. They all exceeded my expectations.
Hi Horace, I'm fully aware of that. I can gas weld as well, but prefer Tig with pulse. Also I teach and tig is much easier for my students to learn and a lot more forgiving.
It is a glass blowing blue cobalt filter. It works OK, I hope to find something better. I found the blue cobalt filter by a Google search. Ii think they were made in India.
Jac is 24 she asked to learn how to tig weld. Everything you see she initiated. She is a very beautiful and has smarts and confidence. She is a regular now metalshaping 101 with Jac is next, get used to it.

Glad to see women getting their hands dirty. 50/50 helium argon? I thought that was only for thick material, I guess not.
Ah yes, nothing builds professional credibility like a bare midriff and tight jeans. Yeesh.
I clicked on the thumb nail of the bare midriff and ended up learning something I didn't know about welding alum!
6:00 good gawd, are those jeans painted on?
She ran those pants thru the shrinker. Nice welding!
She was welding? Huh didn't notice that.

El video es muy instructivo - ¡Gracias! No hace falta decir que la chica parece ser amable, inteligente y divertida, ¡también muy hermosa!
If you gas welded it, you wouldn't have to do the back side…

Wray, what is pulse and amperage settings?
Hi Matt, Mark has them written in the first part of the video. Pulse was 1 amps at 60. My other aluminum tig welding video has all the settings.
