VCU Spring Commencement 2019

VCU awarded more than 5,200 professional, graduate and undergraduate degrees and certificates on May 11. 2019 to nearly 5,000 graduates who were recognized at the university-wide ceremony and unit-level ceremonies. With this year's graduating class, VCU now has more than 200,000 alumni. VCU President Michael Rao, Ph.D., told graduates they are redefining the American dream to truly represent society today.

Congrats to all of the graduates! These graduations inspire me. I wish the doctoral graduates would have the dr title in front of their names called when they cross the stage. They deserve that as that will be their title for the rest of their lives. Having said that, I'm doing my Master's degree in Film Production and will graduate in winter of 2021. I'm looking into the PhD Media, Art, and Text program, for 2021 at VCU. Hope I get accepted when that time comes to apply.
