The most important thing for me is to not be hard on myself when not starting something I wanted to do or not finishing what I started. I don't do goals, it's already a set up for failure because it comes with pressure...there's always a deeper underlying. Remember that we all have an inner dialogue that needs healing. With that inner dialogue comes heaviness so it creates an environment to be unmotivated, that's why goals don't work. There is no such thing as laziness, it's called heaviness. The more I purge from the inside, the lighter I feel, the more energy I have, the more peaceful I feel, the more I want to accomplish. Peace my beautiful sisters. Love you mama con todo corazón. I have a different perspective. In setting goals I am giving myself the opportunity to think and dream about things I want to do, and then make a plan of baby steps toward reaching those desires. This way if I don’t reach them I’m ok but if I do the reward of doing/learning something new and the satisfaction of accomplishment is a source of motivation for me. Since I am the one setting my own goals, I am not setting myself up for pressure and failure when I am mindful of setting those goals in the parameters of my habits and routines. In the end the results of pushing myself a little further, a little deeper, helps me to continue growing and recognize there are things I didn’t realize I can do, and it’s worth the effort.
