I still see myself - decades ago - sitting on the Spanish Steps in Rome late at night with aching feet after extensive sightseeing. And I still remember how nice it felt to finally relax and soak in the evening atmosphere of this place. So sad that this isn't possible anymore, but on the other hand: the tourist masses this city has to cope with is naturally calling for taking steps to preserve its beauty ... somehow.
Very nice and entertaining video, Rok! Thanks a bunch for saving our money 😉!
And: is there a video about Sardinia somewhere in your pipeline 🙂?
    Aloha from Berlin ❤🧡💛💚💙💜

The «no flipflops on hiking trails» should be implemented here in Norway too 😅 Too many people think that a hike to the preikestolen or trolltunga is just a little walk from the parking lot 😅 Nope, it is not!

I wish many of this policies would be implemented in Rio!

When I see the water quality and boat traffic around Venice, I can see how a reasonable person would not want to try. Fines for doing so seem reasonable.

I feel like the no eating on the streets rule can be a bit harsh depending on the place. Sometimes it's nice to grab takeout or pack a lunch while enjoying the view, so long as you aren't littering.
But honestly, I'm fine with the others and think there should be more fines. Even the selfie one - too many people aren't taking a quick pic, but instead blocking the way while they take numerous shots in a row.
Most of the overtourism complaints really boil down to a certain segment of travellers who seem to treat other countries as their personal playground not worthy of their respect. Maybe if more of them got an unwelcome bill or had to sit in a cell overnight, they would either smarten up or just stop coming.

Yes, eating on the street is a bit harsh. They have this rule also in Florence. Thanks for sharing your view. Appreciated 🤗
