Southsea to Ryde Hovercraft

It was a quiet day at Southsea - until the Hovercraft hove into view - but at least they are not as noisy as they used to be. I was trying out a new camera at the time and caught the hovercraft doing a nice little sideslip around a couple of boats that got in the way. This by the way is a re edit of a video that used to be on UA-cam but for some reason kept failing - hope this version fares better

i video this and got grit in my lense, so had to buy a new lense for Nikon Camera

with these birds videoing from a distance is a good idea as the pebbles on Southsea beach can be on the large side and tend to hurt1. if you are videoing take off from Southsea beach at high tide you can get drenched by the backwash as well

We went last month. Took the old tube train from Ryde to Sandown too.Great day out.

This brings back memories from the 70s. In the old days, it just came straight on to the beach, no real markings, great fun for us kids.
