I used to feel so safe late at night watching Nick at Nite. The shows and these commercials made me feel odly at ease, entertained and relaxed. I really miss Nick at Night.
I’m definitely a Nick @ Nite kid. I liked watched I Love Lucy, The Munsters, and others during this time. Watching these promos brings back so many memories. The simple days.
There are a couple other compilations on UA-cam with the Nick at Nite jingles but this has some that the others don't. The comfy jeans one is one I remembered but wasn't available on other compilations. So thanks for this.
I used to! I'd beg my Granny and Papa to let me stay up and watch either I Dream of Jeannie or Bewitched but I'd end up falling asleep in my Papa's lap.
Wow, I never realized how creative and quirky the Nick At Nite promos were, even though I loved watching it back when they showed other shows besides "Full House" and "Friends".
Holy Nostalgia Batman! What fantastic memories of way back when. Miss watching this with friends and family as a kid and teen. I randomly sing some of these since way back when! I miss the bumper where it shows the Nick at Night TV set water skiing, lol.
Whenever I watched horror movies growing up, I would always watch Nick at Nite for an hour or so afterwards so I could fall asleep with the lights off.
📺 this was back when entertainment and programs was fantastic to watch and not boring. Still love watching this commercial yet, never get tired of this commercial
These were the days when Nick at Nite was worth watching. At least we have new networks that keep the original vision of Nick at Nite today. I hope that we'll one day get this concept back. But, the chances of that are slim, since Nick at Nite dedicates itself to modern programming.
oh i couldnt agree more. i loved nickelodeon by day and nick by nite. i was a kid during the 80s, but ohhhh how i loved that channel. It was certainly my favorite, and oddly enough, i loved those old black and whites along with these goofy promos. They made the network so eccentric and original to its own. Of course, now, as an adult, i feel like i sorta grew up in the 60s. Like yourself, i wished Nick at Nite would return to its original black and white line ups of great old sitcoms, but, due to streaming and how you can watch t.v. nowadays, im afraid its just as much of the past as the original shows itself. :( Nevertheless, i still watch old classics myself through streaming, but it'll never be as it once was.
exactly- I was a 90s kid and loved watching the programming on nights i had to be babysat by my aunt because my mom was taking college classes. This introduced me to classics such as the Dick Van Dyke Show, the Mary Tyler Moore Show, I Dream of Jeannie and Bewitched.
I feel the same way, but do the math...when Nick at Nite started in the mid 80s, it re-ran shows from 20 to 30 years old. Today's 20 to 30 years ago would fall in the 80s and 90s. I'd much rather watch the original N@N lineup, though.
0:14 you hear Latka, but that spot had PREVIOUSLY been reserved for Maxwell Smart saying "Love it" and again at 0:17 he used to say "Marvelous." But this was after Get Smart was gone from Nick at Nite, which is why you hear "You bet'cha" at 0:17 instead. (Yes, I remember that much detail about it. lol)
What happened to the Happy DAYS ad talking about Chuck Cunningham disappearing from Happy Days with no explanation and scenes of the Chuck Cunningham actors GAVAN O 'Herlihy and RANDOLPH Roberts were in the Nick at Mite Happy Days Promo.
Dude imagine being an 8 year old in a house that's unfamiliar to you watching this super late at night because you're being babysat by your aunt because your mom is out of town- this creeped me out but it gives me a comforting nostalgia if that makes sense.
Oh man the memories: I dream of Genie, Adams Family, Taxi, I Love Lucy, The Odd Couple, Happy Days, The Jeffersons, The Wonder Years, The Brady Bunch, Different Strokes, and The Facts of Life
you're not alone pal! I was like, where is my babies at right now? I'm supposed to be seeing doug and the crew right now! I'm supposed to hang with mikey and get him to the goal right now, not this crap! Now, I'd rather see old Nick At Nite than this one they got now, because this current one sucks!
I used to feel so safe late at night watching Nick at Nite. The shows and these commercials made me feel odly at ease, entertained and relaxed. I really miss Nick at Night.
Nicole Brigston this comment is so true. I always felt this strange bliss. It also used to provoke imaginative dreams. Lol
Nicole Brigston back in the late 80s and early 90s Nick at Nite was awesome

Even though it was aimed at the adult crowd, Nick at Nite was a big part of my childhood. I never noticed how weird and cool the promos were, though.
farmzombie
I was a Nick at Nite kid too. I was really disappointed when N@N dropped these promos. I recorded some of them too.

Agreed I used to LOVE Nick at Nite. I started watching as a kid, surprised that I would enjoy so many old shows. Watched it nightly for a while.
Brings back so many good memories of living on my own for the first time and barely able to afford cable TV.
There are a couple other compilations on UA-cam with the Nick at Nite jingles but this has some that the others don't. The comfy jeans one is one I remembered but wasn't available on other compilations. So thanks for this.
+Adam Hauck Glad you like it!
Who remembers being a kid and falling asleep in the middle of a show ✋🏼
I used to! I'd beg my Granny and Papa to let me stay up and watch either I Dream of Jeannie or Bewitched but I'd end up falling asleep in my Papa's lap.
👍
The sequencing of these commercials are really good.
Wow, I never realized how creative and quirky the Nick At Nite promos were, even though I loved watching it back when they showed other shows besides "Full House" and "Friends".

I miss the old 2 hour Lucy block that aired on Saturday nights - I Love Lucy, The Lucy Show and The Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour.
These were the days when Nick at Nite was worth watching. At least we have new networks that keep the original vision of Nick at Nite today. I hope that we'll one day get this concept back. But, the chances of that are slim, since Nick at Nite dedicates itself to modern programming.
+Jessica Black Totally agree. I miss my Donna Reed!!! LOL!!

Keldon McFarland agreed
in 1990, 1960 was 30 years ago, in 2018, 1990 was 28 years ago, so it's close to the same time in show airings ;)
It's kind of like how the oldies stations used to play 50s and 60s. Now I hear 90s Rnb on there. Haha.
I miss nick at night
I remember and love the tune at 3:16 back when I was 10
@3:06 "and you feel like a trog-o-lo-dyte"! BEST! LINE! EVER!

0:14 you hear Latka, but that spot had PREVIOUSLY been reserved for Maxwell Smart saying "Love it" and again at 0:17 he used to say "Marvelous." On 2:45, my late father taped me a whole collection of Superman Weekend in September 1991. This promo aired a lot.
And 3:26.
If you still have the tape, I would be glad to digitize it and provide you with a DVD copy if you are interested.

(1992-2002)
This was a 90s kids break from mindless cartoons n watch good classic shows...too bad they XONT do this anymore.
What happened to the Happy DAYS ad talking about Chuck Cunningham disappearing from Happy Days with no explanation and scenes of the
Chuck Cunningham actors GAVAN O 'Herlihy and RANDOLPH Roberts were in the Nick at Mite Happy Days

+MZaklanc Yeah, I hear you. Some of them were really weird.
Dude imagine being an 8 year old in a house that's unfamiliar to you watching this super late at night because you're being babysat by your aunt because your mom is out of town- this creeped me out but it gives me a comforting nostalgia if that makes sense.
Sitizen Kane I could imagine that lol
For what it's worth, I used to be scared of the Nick At Nite logo
Memory lane!
Is that Valerie Bertinelli I'm those
Nick at Mite pros with TV sets for their heads.
4:38 who is this lady bumper singing on nick at nite?
@ 3:16 Dedicated to Rick Brown formerly of WRLD, Valley, Alabama. "Rick at Nite"!
"Rick...at nite. Now that's radio done right!"
Who's the lady singing at 4:40?
What about the CGI IDs (done by Scott Wass) in 1996, as well as the ones with Logobelly that came later onwards?
Put George Lopez on Hulu.
Please.
Oh man the memories: I dream of Genie, Adams Family, Taxi, I Love Lucy, The Odd Couple, Happy Days, The Jeffersons, The Wonder Years, The Brady Bunch, Different Strokes, and The Facts of Life
It's Jeannie Not Genie.
Do you have the one with the "smooth satellite"?
Nicholas Moose Sorry, I wish I did!
Anyone know where I can find the fake PSA sketches like the one about bacon fire? I found a couple of videos featuring the Milkman sketches.
I found them. New School made a video for the "How to Be Swell" promos. Sadly, my favorite one about bacon fires was missing
