Two things I absolutely love: 1) We get to hear Taylor do stand up every night. Yay for a monologue! It’s wonderful and I’m so here for it. She’s Sincerely so talented. 2) hearing the audience cheer for a sponsor is the funniest thing I think I’ve ever paused and realized.
I have news for you: The audience probably got hyped up before the show with something like „we need this money and it keeps the show alive because CBS want cashflow 💸 “
I like this tweak of having Taylor do a monologue. They probably added it to make it just a wee bit more like a talk show, but nowhere near enough to satisfy people that want a talk show. Plus Taylor is really funny and she gets to show it a little more with this bit.
I love Taylor consistently refusing to pretend that anything about the show has any meaning other than pleasing her. Shes basically "its my party. make me laugh, monkey!" the honesty is refreshing ... and funny.
I love this show because I haven't interacted with another human being for at least the past 4 days straight, but the monologue and quick witty banter makes me feel included.

As a guy that works in the airline industry, I relate to the “Families of 6 or more” joke so hard. Seriously how the fuck can y’all afford that. And also why do you have 4 strollers?!!!
I like how this show is developing, more content like the travel hack story / voice notes. I feel like maybe an updated scoring system/ like different points or something and maybe guests could end up with different titles at the end.
As a Gen-Xer... I told all of my younger millenial and Gen-Z friends and family members "If you send me that voice note shit, just know that you might as well be leaving me a voice mail that is set to auto-delete every message." 😛
I enjoy this show. Taylor looks like she's having a great time doing After Midnight, which makes the show even more enjoyable, I love hearing what people who come on are going to come up with. I crack up seeing Taylor laughing, so far my favorite clip I've seen is the interaction between Penn Teller (the pen is mightier than the sword bit) and then Taylor laughing when Penn said made any good suits lately.
9:06 You could rename this clue “The Pre-courtship of Kitty’s Mom and Dad” because my mom is that woman and my dad was instantly head of heels for her WAY before she got there with him like she hated my dad so much she used to get up and leave every time he came to a place she was where she didn’t have to say at, 😂. It had a happy ending though because they had 4 kids and been together for 47 years (42 of those married) and neither one of them couldn’t fathom a life without the other.
i’m also autistic and i’m in the clear minority because i prefer phone calls. not with people i don’t know, ofc not. but with friends and family. i just can read tone a little tiny bit better and i get in the zone so it needs less energy (since every text is a little task, and i need executive functioning for task initiation, so i never reply). if i don’t wanna talk to someone, like to strangers or acquaintances, text is the way to go. otherwise, it takes too much energy to keep up with the conversation and i’m even more confused by the lack of tone than in real life
UA-cam recommended me Taylor Tomlinson before Netflix. Okay Netflix still hasn’t. I think I am on my 20th video or close to it over the past week. Great show! She is funny! The format is great!
I've watched a few episodes, and I didn't even realize this was the follow up to the excellent @midnight with Chris Hardwick until just now! Taylor Tomlinson is a great successor to Hardwick, and the guest lineup is still great!
Taylor Tomlinson had long ago earned a TV show with her hilarious perspective on life events. I’m thrilled that @AfterMidnight was renewed as it is frequently more humorous than “The Late Show with Stephen Cobert”, “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon”, “Late Night with Seth Myers”, and of course “The Late Late Show with James Corden” (which she replaced).
Plus with voice notes, no more misunderstanding what you mean and assuming you're pissed off just because they're giving you an irritated voice in their head as they read texts from before.
#TaylorTomlinson #AfterMidnight #Comedy I'm thrilled that #TaylorTomlinson continues to do a monologue at the start of the show! This is the best addition to #AfterMidnight!
1. Neck pillow hack is already few years old.. 2. If I remember correctly - Ryanair have carry on dimension WITHOUT wheels - so they are allowed to stick out the measuring bin ;) also, that suitcase looked perfectly fine to go on board with - I haven't seen anyone being asked to measure suitcase that size o.O I am sure mine is thicker and no one ever bat an eye in Ryanair (or Wizzair)
As a millennial with a stutter that has over the course of my life caused me to develop a way of speaking where I mumble and slur together words to minimise my chances of getting 'caught up' on a hard consonant, I feel the hatred of phonecalls deep, DEEP in my very being. My own name starts with a hard consonant, and the number of times I have had to DESPERATELY try to say "Chris" whilst making the sounds of a goose being strangled to death over the phone must be in the hundreds by now.
My besties and I used Whats App voice. It's convenient to talk then listen as you can. Voice to text is too inaccurate. I text other people plenty. Texting before or to set up a call feels more polite to me than cold calling.
When I get phone calls, I let it go to voicemail so I can read the speech-to-text because 60% of the time, I can't understand the audio. Also, texting has the advantage of being able to look back at the plans you've made to confirm they're correct in your calendar.
i’m a gen z, but i prefer calling. it flows better, i can listen to them in real time, the reactions feel more genuine, i can read tone better… it feels more personal and connected. but i guess people are trying to have the exact opposite so i can basically call nobody but my parents and brother lmfaooo
4 minutes of Taylor Tomlinson stand up at the start of each show, why did it take this long to figure this out?
Seriously! I feel like we've all been asking for a Taylor monologue at the start since the first episode.
