I find them all the time at the goodwill and CHKD thrift all the time for a few dollars from some dead guy's collection. What are you going to do with all that used junk? It's like baseball cards. Nobody buys them anymore except for old dead guys of dreams of being rich off old junk. Even the retro Star wars at Target and Wal-Mart aren't selling.

@@SargeRedsVintageToys I grew up in the 80s, and had Starwars, G1 transformers, GIJoes, and M.A.S.K. toys. Like most I kick myself for not saving them. I hate that my kids don't have the opportunity to be 80s kid. I love sharing my childhood memories with my kids through toys I can buy today. Watching you find these toys makes me smile when I see how excited you and your friends get finding those treasures.
The Ewoks were blacked out to keep them a surprise on the Kenner 65 backs! You found treasure...great vid!

I have been watching Your older videos. This 1980's House contents Buy. Has to be my Number 1 favorite video series on UA-cam Brother. Great finds, but I wish there are more close ups on the figures to appreciate
A contest to give away a couple of the carded figures would be awesome. I was born right before SW came out and have seen EVERY movie in the theater or drive in theater. Now my sons that are 6 and 4 are super fans of the franchise. We got really lucky at a garage sale and purchased some 1979 toys to include a Falcon, but had to scrub them clean as they were in a garage and covered in stuff I do not want to think about.
I still have my original figures and the cloud car pilot is mint because I never played with it

The Cloud Car Pilot was released nearly three years before the Cloud Car vehicle play set was released, so he was never the most popular of figures as what to do with him?!
GoBot packaging is stunning. My first one to own was Koptor. GoBots were damaged in the package many times, which was disappointing.

Not a big Star wars fan, but that was a heck of a find. I saw the video with the 40 that pulled from the bottom of the closet in the kmart bag.

The design concern of Yoda was actually the orange eyes rather than the orange snake; Kenner changed the eyes and made Yoda a darker green, then gave the figure a brown snake due to the overall concerns of the orange color on the figure
The Empire Strikes Back version is the only one with a bright orange snake
The Return of the Jedi, and Tri-Logo versions have dark brown snakes and the later Power of the Force version returned Yoda to a lighter green body but with brown eyes, and had either a light brown or pale green snake

You can flatten a card back by putting inside a book and put some weight on the book. Leave it for a few days and you got a straight card.

What are you going to do with the rough riders? Those are actually a big part of my childhood walking to the 5 and dime to buy them with soda can money. Would love to have a few if you are going to sell those. thank you
Everything will be be for sale eventually in our shop or online after I get everything inventoried and processed. I bought many a'toys with cash refunds on cans myself lol

You can flatten the curved card backs by laying figure flat, and then putting stack of heavy books on top of the card back that is curved. Leave it for about a week
I'll have to give it a shot.
@@SargeRedsVintageToys I use packages of printer paper to flatten them. You can control how much pressure you want on the card by adding more reams of paper. Leave on for about a month.
You can also dampen a cloth (hankichef will do) and carefully iron the card with the iron set on low over the damp cloth. Make sure it is only slightly damp, not wet as obviously the card is made out of cardboard. Practice first with some cast off carboard to get the setting right and so you don't over dampen the cloth.

I think if you just place it in a clear case that's the same shape then it should straighten it out over time
The boxes figures are catalogue figures. They were ordered through a Sears or JC Penny catalogue at some point and that is how they came. These are very valuable and very desirable.

So the blackouts on the back exist because the toys hit the shelves before the movie dropped and they didn't want to give away the Ewok surprise.

I had 5 of those that came out of the box before it went on the rack (I guess that means un-punched) but actually just played with them to have fun. What the heck does 41 back mean?

Basically, the little hole that the figure would hang on in the store was never hung up so the cardboard is still in the hole.

What does 45 and 41 back mean? Great find.
It's how many figures were in the collection and shown on the back of the card. The lower the number the older the figure.
I might be interested in buying some of those duplicate carded figs for sure. Are you planning on selling some?

I think you should explain to us what is 65 back is for the difference between the other ones you’ve been talking about
the amount of characters shown on the back of the figure, this usually is tied to release....lower numbers equal older figures because less figures were available at the time of release. so a 41 back figure is "older" then a 65. this is most pertenant in figures with the same movie back.....so a 41 back ESB figure and a 32 back ESB are different in age.

The 65 back card, isn't an error card there is a 65-A and 65-B card, just a time of release thing those two were not available.

There might be a way to smooth the curved packages, there is a youtuber called toy poloi that specializes in fixing toys, here is his channel link ua-cam.com/video/uSlniuoGKY8/v-deo.html you might consider doing a youtube video team up with him, and also there is another youtuber named michael mercy who specializes in g i joe, he would be another good team up. I have heard people using Lighter fluid to remove price stickers, but maybe research it more first...

@@SargeRedsVintageToys In the event you want to remove the stickers, practice on cheaper merchandise first. I’ve heard an iron set on low heat or a hair dryer on low setting might work. In no event should you ever use lighter fluid on cardboard!

Its when the little hole on the top of the card that would hang on the peg still has the cardboard in it and was never hung on a peg.
