How to use the Jigsaw Method

The Jigsaw Method is a great way to get students cooperatively learning a large amount of reading materials or research in a short period of time.
There have been many variations of this method used by different instructors and so the Student Council has reviewed student feedback to discover which technique has been the most successful in terms of student engagement and knowledge gained.
This is the explanation of that technique. We hope that students and instructors will utilize this specific technique and gain the most out of their classes.
It is often the final step that is altered in the Jigsaw Method. For primary school teachers, they like to have a quiz at the end of the day's discussions. Secondary school teachers may choose to have to the groups give presentations. But in the BA TESOL Program, we want to continue the discussion as a college level discourse, where we can share insights of understanding and experience with each other.
