I would not only rely on the tube (as it's flexible and thin as paper) but I would use a rigid body to protect the soldering or make a more rigid still flexible grip with a glue gun (from any hardware store). Did you ever find them? Look for a microphone cable. Thatll do it I'm just looking for the best AWG for a good aux. My 21AWG is way to thick.
