YAY! Quill playing Civ 6, a game that I can watch because I own it so I don't have to buy it! I've been trying to watch the Stellaris videos but I keep getting the urge to buy the game and I shouldn't right now!
this is my first quill18 civ game. i can see now why he stomped the yogscast when they played a game together all those years ago. even their "best" players don't seem to know what's going on half the time.
Getting 2 free scouts on Cree is INSANE! Great start to the series! P.S If you build Liang's fishery improvement on the Yosemite water tiles, it would make them even better. I don't know if it is possible, Just thought it was worth a mention.
New Civ. and a new rimworld, glad youtube vids are patient... tnx again for all your content, even the stuff i don't like/watch as i'm sure others appreciate it just as much as i do the stuff i do like/watch ! Keep it up !
Just got this game on console, and it's really fun. I've been watching Civ lp's since 2011 but never got the chance to play one until now. It's really fun, despite me being really bad at the game even on Prince.
Glad to see you playing civ 6 again. I would love to see you do a new Beginner Tutorial series for 2022. There have been some big changes since the last one you did 5 years ago. I have played a touch over 160 hours and have yet to win a game. I feel that I could use some good teaching and pointers. I know, I know...lots of UA-cam tutorials out there, but it is so much better getting that knowledge from a UA-camr I actually enjoy watching. Just sayin'....
Quill, really like that you took the time read the Civ description at the beginning. I think that was your problem with both Byzantium games. That and not taking Crusade as your religious belief meant that you played them totally the wrong way.
It actually is, not only Yosemite, but also good hilly areas and what Quill correctly identified as a good Petra city. If you play the game well you could also place a nice Huey on the lake just below Yosemite, which would lead to great lake yields. All around solid start (moving still might have been better, due to better immediate start tiles)
Yeah, this is a great start. Right next to a powerful natural wonder, lots of space to the south and west with no competition, great Petra spot, and Valetta - possibly the best city state in the game - right next door. I don't know if Quill realises just how powerful Valetta is, especially late game.
I was thinking the same thing. A very interesting seed, not only for the Cree, but many other civs as well. The number of hills could be fun as the Gaul.
By the initial logic, then religion is always a matter of luck with Quill's strategy, because he will always go for archery, even when he has a good oppurtunity for something else, sooner. I feel at least he should get animal husbandry 1st, then if it seems he's not in danger (in need of archery) then go for astrology.
Finally back to civ6. Stellaris is o.k. but I certainly prefer Quill playing this to Stellaris. The video clearly shows that the good Quill has become a little rusty with civ. How long does it take to get him back in shape? :)
Incredible they are sponsoring content for this game while it remains broken for thousands of players, giving absolutely no response to their community after the last DLC pass was released. Constant crashes and instability, but at least Quill gets paid.
@@jayc1139 Their forums are constantly being patrolled to delete posts with such, steam's biggest troubleshooting thread was deleted because of how many people were reporting the crashes. 2k's official policy is to ignore the broken nature of their game and pay people to advertise it still.
Somehow a warrior managed to find 5 goody huts with three improved scouts running around
@quill18 quick reminder: if a barb scout attacks your units/cities his camp is dead. If he does not the camp is still around.

stellaris is a great 4x game, worth to buy along its major dlcs (+ aquatics species dlc just for the aquatics space ships)
You can always Yarr har fiddle dee dee

Perfect timing! This Let’s Play is exactly what I need!!
Someone in 2K's marketing team was, like me, desperate for a new Civ 6 let's play so just bought one :)
Wooo been waiting for another Civ video! But also have been enjoying your other content 🙌🏾
Oof, that is a pretty strong start - the rng-gods did favor you
I was hyped there we might get non-streamed content with Quill's face there.
You really had me in the first half.
Civ 6 is still my fav quill content
Actually Civ6 first gameplay (Rome I remember) was first video I watched from Quill.
Well.. so many years have passed and still watching :D
Man, I wish you went for a religious victory once. I love spreading the good word in this game.
Petra Ho! We can see those sandy hills on the horizon boys

Always liked the native leaders. I miss the Iroquois guy from the last game :O
Finally some Civ 6!!! Have been waiting for this a loooong time! :D
"Civ 6 contains all the content released... minus the Persona Pack!"
Nice add spot at the end :P! Damn, Civ, it's been a while. It feels like a nice hot coco. Thanks for the content!
Oh nice a new Civ streamer 😉 WB Quill missed your Civ 6 stuff!
So glad to see this video drop today. I was really itching to see a Quill Civ6 play through.
What a start this is. Very nice.

So happy they packaged all that stuff i bought separately...

Spain has settled in the desert? Does the AI in Civ still just get massive production bonuses instead of actually playing better? :D
Yes 😅
yayyy... civ 6 is back
Yay! Looking forward to watching The Supreme Intelligence play...
Any chance you can share the seed of the game? This like a fun start to play.

Yay 😀 civ 6 .. thanks 🙏
I don't comment enough for how much I watch Quill so here's a general keep up the good work.
Ask The Gods.
big fan of these civ videos!
Quill back on Civ6! Awesome!
Such a great start!
Here's to a great run :D
Worlds most OP start to a game!
Yay! more Civ Content!
Yay new civ!

Love the Civ 6 content
I never get this lucky with goody huts when I play. I get a couple, quill gets 7 in the first 25 turns :(
I bought it Quill, well done.
i have to buy the bundle its so much value
Finally back to civ6. Stellaris is o.k. but I certainly prefer Quill playing this to Stellaris. The video clearly shows that the good Quill has become a little rusty with civ. How long does it take to get him back in shape? :)
i know im late, but for future reference ohkitcitaw is pronounced "oh-kih-chih-taw"
I know its sponsored and thats the point...but is the Anthology worth getting?
Thank you Quill, and thank you 2K Games!
Nice
Joke's on you Firaxis, this advertising does nothing because I already own all of this stuff and have for a long time.
New series!
LET'S GOOOOO
Quill, hopefully you see this, can you chuck the start seed up for us?
Hey, Quill. Are you gonna join in on the opposition to Bill C-11 that is gonna affect Canadian UA-cam?
yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
FInally.
Skuts?
15:50 oh the fact that you missed a unit being on a hill isn't entirely on you - this game is very bad about making hills obvious
We know, we've been lamenting it for years
Incredible they are sponsoring content for this game while it remains broken for thousands of players, giving absolutely no response to their community after the last DLC pass was released. Constant crashes and instability, but at least Quill gets paid.
Indeed, went back to civ 5 just for that reason.
Proof
Always nice to see I'm not the only one in this boat too. Kinda frustrating, but, playing civ 5 as well, which technically I prefer as it is.

The console version has had broken multiplayer since launch too. Lots of people that simply can't join others or accept invites.
Did you know that the Dutch word for ‘the’ is ‘de’. So we have ‘Return of DeCree’. I wonder how political Quill can play this game 😂
where is the link to buy?
Did you even actually look because it slapped you RIGHT in the face!
It wasn't showing up for me, so I refreshed the page and it appeared.
??!?!?!?!!? the bundle on steam is so cheap 34€ for all of that dude the devs are getting scammed i have to tell my dad about this he play civ a lot
Yea now to learn how to actually play civ
Meh, tired of the old OP scout snowball tactic. I'll pass :(
