Im only a short guy but i was finding that i was getting a sore back and my bunny hop tricks and pump were suffering as a result , i went to a tall rise 10" bar and my riding experience changed for the better as a result i could probably go down an inch or two but for now they have been absolutely amazing
It depends, are you cruising, racing or doing tricks? Like you said, it's all about peoples needs, the way the frame was designed, growth of your body, body aches and pains because of riding position. All kinds of variables. Adjust accordingly to how it fits you.
You dont have to cut your bars if they are actually high enough. Im probably going for like a 10 inch bars next. We rode a big bar bike in middle school and it was such a dialed 21 inch bike.
@@3rdWorldNola me? I run odysey r25 and cult salvation top load. But i feel its too tall for me, so i decide to use alive frontload stem and lower the headset. I use eclat choclate 9.25 bars. im 5,6" and i think im suit frontload stem. Sorry for my bad english 😁👍.
It is important to know that every 0.25in makes difference so jumping from 9 to 10 is insane difference. Taller bars are more comfortable but may be limiting in some ways. Hitting steeper ramps may feel like they are nudging you out of your bike or you might have no room left in feeble grind position. I would try to put few spacers to feel it and test before spending money on taller bars. Also the longer the frame the taller the bars can be.
20 years ago I rode 7" bars, and now I ride 10" bars. I haven't grown an inch in that time, lol.
How tall are you
@@juicewrldlover4162 6' 2"
As a recovering alcoholic I’m doing the 12 step bars.

Gone from 7inch to 9 inch bars and my back loves me for it. I'm only 5"10. Try before you buy when possible is my advice.
At 45 years old I just put 9.8 GT bars on the Motomag and its a much better cruiser now, but I don't think the bent seat post in necessary now

Hoder bars are like lifting weights at the gym with a standard bar. Flat as hell. I wanted to them too but too wide and flat.
