I wanted to thank you SO much about the coverage. Spoilers up to ENDWALKER. Regarding OMEGA, my favourite Story in the game, you are SO spot on. Let me start by saying that most people (even hardcore FINAL FANTASY as a series fans) think about OMEGA as fanservice. Let me tell you something. OMEGA (as well as GILGAMESH and Shinryu), are recurring Characters in the FINAL FANTASY series as a whole. They appear by travelling through the Interdimensional Rift. (Basically between Dimensions). You meet these 3 beings in numerous FINAL FANTASY Installments. And no matter what others tell you, they are the SAME being, believe it or not (well, exception is XIV's Shinryu, because... well, if you played XIV, you know. ALTHOUGH, I DO have a Theory). Now, OMEGA, started from the Dragonstar in XIV Universe, and chased Midgardsorm. OMEGA got damaged and lost, and started hoping from Dimension to Dimension and from Planet to Planet, looking for power ups. He appeared to many Instalments Worlds (I, V, VI, X, XIII, XV, etc) ALL its appearances to the other FINAL FANTASY Installments are from this period. He even appears to the FINAL FANTASY Fables World, where the protagonist is the REAL Alpha, that OMEGA recreated him from. Then it arrives back to XIV Universe and crashes to Hydaelyn, sleeps to restore itself, and Allagans find him. And so on . Now, OMEGA in his Raid series, re-create enemies from FINAL FANTASIES I, V, and VI. He appeared in those universes. Meanwhile, OMEGA never appeared to the FINAL FANTASY VII World (by far the most popular), so there is no Sephiroth fight recreation. Do you think they would miss this opportunity to make such a fight, ESPECIALLY as VII Remake was in the corner? It would just make NO sense for OMEGA to re create Sephiroth, as it NEVER observed him. I will not go further, and I will tell you that I LOVE OMEGA and ALPHA. Also, something else. My longshot Shinryu theory. What if Zenos is not dead (artificial Echo and realm of infinite Dynamis) and somehow after we teleport away after our fight, he gets transported to one of the other FINAL FANTASY Installments (the Dissidia World would be a perfect candidate) and actually becomes the Shinryu that appears as a Superboss in many other FINAL FANTASY Installments? It would be PERFECT! PS: Regarding your content patch analysis, don't forget the 10 unique Seasonal Events every Year (including the Special Events), as well as the Irregular Moogle Tomestone Events. One of each starts next week on Monday the 14th. They are released in between Patches.
I swear FFXIV just does everything WoW players have been begging for for years now. A return to being a normal adventurer is so simple but literally the best idea ever.
It makes sense, I dont think the stakes could honestly be any higher than they were in Endwalker... So the options are to either leave the danger at the same level as Endwalker (which i think would get stale quickly), find some arbitrary way to raise them even higher (which wouldnt make sense and would feel forced) or... Take our knowledge and experiences and start over on a smaller scale. I'm excited for this, they're definitely making the right call.
@@cinno09 "I dont think the stakes could honestly be any higher than they were in Endwalker" same thing could be said about wow at some points too xD but they chose a different path i guess (where there is a puppeter behind every big bad guy and the threat is already at cosmic level).
True.... what make old classic good is the feeling of bring adventure and experience new stuffs but to experience something again for nostalgia sake just isn't it...
Also-NOT DE-POWERING THE WOL!! Why would they need to? The Scions trust you to not go off and try to take over Garlemald or something even though you technically COULD buuuuut you won’t. Right? 👀
Something that wasn't mentioned because Bellular has never experienced it before, but was announced today (obviously after this was filmed) is the return of the Irregular Tomestone event: An event that lets you run through content to pick up special tomestones that can be used to buy potentially hard to get items like mounts or orchestrion rolls, or things that are too much of a grind (the OG beast tribe quest mounts are always there), as well as usually a unique piece of glamour. The event starts with the next major piece of maintenance (in this case 6.08) and goes until the next major patch/expansion release. It gives people an incentive to keep playing if they choose to, and lets people who may not like certain aspects of the game to try for something they otherwise wouldn't be able to get (like the hairstyle for this event is from The Firmament, for example). It's a nice bit of filler content for people who want to keep playing but are looking for some incentive to do so. And as always, it's optional. You don't have to take part unless you want to.
To add to your great summary, it also often features content that will be story relevant to the next patch/expansion. It also gets players playing to help through bottlenecks of new players going through MSQ or Alliance raids.
@@victorpurificacao2855 Yep. It's recurring. Every time there's a patch/expansion content lull, Rowena drags out the Moogle and makes him collect special tomestones for the devs to give people a reason to come back and get the rust off before the next patch/expansion. Got the jacket on two characters. It's a nice jacket. The earring this time is a repeat of a previous event, but I suspect they're bringing back old glam items for all the new players that have joined who didn't have a chance for them.
I've heard several people say "Oh that FF14 game? Does anyone still play? It's so old." That "marathon development" pace has allowed 14 to consistently grow over the years at a slow, measured pace until current events thrust it into the limelight. It's been quietly growing its content catalogue for years, and now there is a massive game to enjoy with more to come. Slow and steady wins the race! Been playing since ARR, so I have come to appreciate the fact that I can do content and know I won't miss anything major for another 4 months. Helps with those times where I'm too busy with life... Imagine not holding your players hostage to fill "use engagement Metrics!"
The team played the long game, which is very nice. Means that super active players will probably finish their content quick, especially if they dont do optional content they dont like(bozja, unreal, crafting, relic weapon, beast tribes), but that the game will not have burned down or rejected all that you knew if you come back next year, in 2 years, in 5 years.
I would say it's more of a qualitative change in the game since ShB rather than growing over time. There are many elements of HW and SB that were not well received and SB did kind of poorly in its initial release and post MSQ due to Eureka. ShB was when they decided to switch up the formula and that brought a lot of people back as well as new players despite a lot of people being against those initial changes in ShB. The issue is that some people are still somehow spinning this as if FF14 can magically bridge the gap with a traditional JRPG. It is not meant for that audience.
@@ohnosmoarlulcatz I think it sorta does though. What it lacks is the strategy, and leveling/gearing of a jrpg, but it has the story at the hearts of one. No other game has as much time dedicated to cutscenes as FF14. That alone can bridge the gap, it certainly did for me.
FF14 allowed me plan out my personal time effectively and maintain schedule with other endeavors like spending time with friends/family. Overall, this made me a better person. I am becoming older and being late or canceling plans isn't cute anymore when I was younger. FF14 should be the new standards in MMO genre. No longer should be about endless grind and FOMO.
I absolutely love this about XIV. Been playing since ARR and at this point I generally know what kind of content I like and don't in it, so I can just say "ya know what, I don't really enjoy doing relics" and just skip all that content and spend that time living my real life, and it feels great.
@@sirforcer Agreed. What I also enjoy is that "oh patch release is on xx day? I'll wait one week after so I won't be fighting server spots, and plan 2-3 days to soak in the content I want". You know Yoship keeps his schedule when he was about to burst into tears when Endwalker got delayed.
@@Kaedalus im playing gw2 and ffxiv. Tried to do lost ark but after i found what of game it was,I i pretty much quit. So far only ffxiv and GW2 repects your time.
The transparency from the devs on upcoming patch content and cycles plus the fact that you can take breaks in FFXIV without really having to play catch up, has allowed me to plan my time around releases like God of War, Lost Ark, and Elden Ring and it’s been fantastic. I have been able to take breaks to avoid burnout and am planning a big Gil grind soon because I know that Ishgard housing is coming in mid April. FFXIV is just an mmo you can play while mixing in other games or focusing on real life things, but you can also no-life it if you want. It just feels good to be a fan of the game
One of the biggest strenghts of XIV is that even if the content can often be done in a day or two, it is CUMULATIVE content. The longer the game lives, the better of a deal it becomes for new players starting from the very beginning.
Yeah definitely, tried out the game to lv 30 last year, came back when endwalker launched and finished the msq last night. One of the best experiences in gaming for me.
the 12 summoned at cartenau were the primal incarnations in the same way titan is the primal incarnation of the earthfather. i think their identities are all somehow related to certain personages on the convocation of 14.
While the Twelve never really play a pivotal part in the MSQ of the Zodiark vs Hydaelyn saga, there are plenty of references to them to make sure we never really forget about them. As early as arr, we hear about a group of youngsters from little Ala mhigo who are trying to steal crystals from the amalj'aa at the behest of a robed figure, so they can summon Rhalgr. The patron deity of many in Gyr Abania. Rhalgr's reach is even named after him. As well as the fists of Rhalgr. Merlwyb and plenty of characters from limsa often say "navigator as my witness", refering to Llymlaen, the navigator, the patron of Limsa lominsa. Nald'thal is very prevalent to the thaumaturge/black mage quest line at a certain point. Making us to go to shrines dedicated to the twins deities. Thaliak is the patron of Sharlayan, and his worship is so widespread there tothe point that there's a massive statue of him in the harbor. It's also at a shrine to Thaliak in mor dhona that the scions say their goodbyes to a certain archon, whom I will not name for spoiler reasons. Louisoix conjured the power of Althyk during the final battle with Bahamut to deliver the adventurers in the scene to a safer place. His symbol shows up as part of the incantation momentarily Nymeia, while not referenced in the msq, was vital to the rising event in 2021, which revolved around a flower named after her, Nymeia Lillies. Byregot, while not given much time in the light, can often appear in the popular phrase "By Byregot's Beard" which is said in a few crafter job questlines. which makes sense, him being the patron of builders and crafters. These are the examples that i can think of. Many of the twelve do not have many references, or they are cleverly hidden in optional dialogue, like Azeyma. Edit: in my ramblings i of course forgot to mention Halone, the fury, who is mention frequently by the ishgardian people and for most of the Heavensward expansion, but i'm not going to elaborate further on that one because she is mentioned enough where i don't think me naming her here is more than just a reminder of how important she is to the ishgardian culture and its people.
Yeah the Twelve get mentioned a whole lot by many different characters. It's clear that while we don't think of them much except for maybe Halone (and that's just because we spent so much time in Ishgard which was essentially a theocracy), to the people of the world, their gods matter. So I really want to learn much more about them. And this is the perfect time in story to be doing it, with no huge looming threats, our characters can take the time to learn more about the world.
@Raphael S Azeyma is subtly all over the place in Endwalker as well. Her weapon of choice is the fan, which has a LOT of relevance when you start really looking at all of Endwalker's moving parts and some important landmarks.
Oschon is the patron deity of Nym, the city on Vylbrand home to the scholars that was destroyed during the war of the magi as one of the three major city-states. The dungeon Wanderer’s Palace has his symbol all over the place
The Moogle Treasure Trove is starting march 14 - historically, those have started FOUR weeks before the patch, which would leave 6.1 coming April 12. We'll likely have another Live Letter about ten days prior to that with Extra Deets and a trailer to enjoy in the meantime. That's been the precedent for awhile now and they don't seem keen on breaking patterns.
yeah you are 100% right, and I think they haven't committed to a firm date yet to give themselves some wiggle space depending how the development is going, just in case they need that extra week and patch would drop then 19th of April. Also to all newcomers, the x.1 patch usually is very easy-going chill patch so dont expect anything overly amazing casual content especially with MSQ. I could be wrong tho endwalker is unique in a way
I think Myths of the Realm is more like coils tieing a nice knot on the last era so think it's more about cleaning up after the last arc rather than being directly indicative of what to come.
Maybe, but pretty much everything is tied up and it's time to expand upon new stories, so I do believe that this is the beginning of that expansion. I do think it'll tie up a couple of loose ends, but in the endeavour to begin the new stories
@@vanyel_etc8695 I think that's what the MSQ will do repeating what they did during ARR but with a healthy development timeline, budget and over 6 years of experience since then.
Hey my friend, I imagine you already know it but, whenever you do a certain content and you walk into the MSQ, some special dialogues will be unlocked, for instance, if you're a DRG and come into heavensward, Estinien will mention how you're an azure dragoon as well, and in certain other dialogues will only appear if you've done Eureka, Bozja and other optional content. I highly do recommend you keep that string of side content you've been doing. Have a blast!
Oh yeah, this is your first experience with a normal patch live letter (as opposed to a pre-expansion one), and how the patch cycle progresses when they're not trying to roll out a whole expansion or cope with an unprecedented influx of players, isn't it. Yes, we'll get another live letter about 2 weeks before the actual patch (which is why YoshiP said during this letter that he wasn't going to tell us when the part 2 would be since we'd figure out when the patch would be). Major patches always have specific content included. Even numbered patches (X.0, X.2, X.4) always include a new tier for the 8-man raid series. They also include the optional Trial content (Four Lords, Sorrows of Werlyt) in these patches. These patches also push the tomestone cycle, retiring the oldest tomestone for the expansion, uncapping the previously added one, and adding a new tomestone and set of gear to buy. Odd numbered patches (X.1, X.3, X.5) always include a new tier for the 24-man raid series. They also tend to include smaller side story content like Hildebrand (released in 3 parts over the expansion). It seems that the Tataru quests will also be released on this patch schedule. The Alliance raids also introduce the "casual" option for upgrading tomestone gear, dropping currency used to purchase the upgrade items previously only available through Savage. All major patches also include approximately 10 new MSQ + a dungeon and/or trial. All in all, it's not actually a *huge* amount of new content, and it allows people to get through it and go off to do their choice of endgame activities, or get through it, get the gear they want, then quit for a few months to go do other stuff. The predictability is one of the best parts though, since it means we're never blindsided by anything but plot twists and feels.
I'm guessing that the new alliance raid will take place in Abalathia's Spine, it's the only area that stretches a large portion of Eorzea from Dravania to Gyr Abania. Could tie in Rhalgr because of that
Very excited to have your channel to rely on as well as what is a whole gluttony of both new and refreshed reactors, reviewers, and video guides to cover FFXIV. Even with this being technically "downtime" now if you're all caught up and finished w/ the tier, it's been amazing as a player to still have so much content to take in on all the different streaming platforms.
15:25 the content drough in 5.2 when covid hit for the first time, we had to wait 6 or 7 months for 5.3, which had a trial and an alliance raid. at least animators used the time to polish up cutscenes wonderfully for the end of shadowbringers
I don't think anyone forgot sbout the Twelve. Each city has one of them as patron diety. And especially woth Azem and Azeyma. Peole are speculating about them non-stop. But great video. I love how you cover FFXIV. Quick and to the point.
@4:40 Now I'm not sure what class(es) Mike has pushed to 90. The EW role quests utilize... well practically everyone else who seemed a bit absent or preoccupied for the EW MSQ, chiefly the major city-state leaders who were busy leading while reliable comrades or secondaries of theirs were on the ground with the player. I'm curious what the EW role quest finale/maybe more sidequests in the future will be. The structure is VERY different narratively to Shadowbringers' role quests. In fact, I'm really wondering what kind of continuation we will have for the SHB role quests...
@@teemopanda02 I wasn't comparing them, I just figured he mentioned not seeing Aymeric in a while meant he didn't do caster yet. Melee+Ranged won btw. Healer decent, Caster boring, Tank very boring.
1:20 if you do the Ceremony of Eternal Bonding you actually go to all 12 sites to pray at them together with your partner. Also, I'm as impressed as always by the amount of details the Live Letters presents us with, the dialogue between developers & players is amazing. We're given so much for so little, the game is so huge already and they just keep on giving.
If they give us all access to the Garo crossover gear again... that would be amazing. I'm a few jewelry pieces shy of having the entire thing, plus there's a lot of glams in there that others would enjoy and it would be nice to see some of them out in the world again.
Quick tip for you Mike - the Japanese like to divide the months up into 3 periods of 10 days in regards to saying "early/mid/late". So when the LL said "mid April", that means April 12 or April 19 for Patch 6.1. Sometimes only 1 Tuesday falls into these periods and its way easy to predict and plan the exact date of release even before they announce it :D
Spoilers. 3:54 I mean... By the image.... With what I know of the Twelve. That's Byregot's "The Spire", powered by Rhalgr's (of storms blood endgame hub fame) Levin (lighting) bolts. It's described as "A great iron tower of spinning gears and taut springs constructed by Byregot. Constantly under attack by Rhalgr, but his levin bolts only serve to power the tower. "
I think the "treasure under the Bounty" that was mentioned at the end of EW. I think that will be 6.1, because immediately after that, some islands are mentioned, which I think are the Island Sanctuaries kn 6.2
What I like most it that the game does not feel like a job. It feels like a game. And if I miss some time off I can come back and not feel like I missed anything.
When Shadowbringers was announced, my mates thought you will have a clash with Hydaelyn in a grand battle equal elements out. We had a guess that She would come with the 12 (somewhat like the Knights of the Round) that would act as a 24-man where depending your selected character-creator Guardian you'd have a different story and variant of mechanics (similar to the DPS / Healer / Tank symbol spots in certain fights, or where you have to clear your own mini section before returning to the main group). Really looking forward to it.
The screenshot they showed is Byregot’s tower that Rhalgr basically shoots lightning to according to legend based on the Astro job quests. You can tell because of the lightning (Byregot and Rhalgr’s aspect) and the Ala Mhigan bird statues (relating to Rhalgr).
I love XIV - I could invest so much time and it always rewards me, but I can also take a break and play other games and come back later to do new content. Amazing! I will never stop playing this game I love it!
The next live letter will also be big for FFXIV content creator/reactors since it will start with the 6.1 patch trailer! It will start at the beginning of the live letter like every part 2 of a patch live letter.
In 1.0 we had a quest towards the end of the storyline where we had to examine those spots with the Twelve’s symbols. Basically getting them ready for that final event. Although we didn’t know exactly what we were doing then until the servers went down and that cutscene started playing.
I mean in endwalker one of the character near the end litterally told you about places you have yet to visit, and mysteries to uncover, and uses the true identity of the 12 as a direct ecample, so its fair to assume we also got a couple hints about future maps or dungoens in that line aswell. (Its a cutscene before the lvl 89 msq dungeon for those wanting to find it)
If you want a true comparison of wow patches versus ff14 patches just think how basically ff offers content for EVERYONE (crafters,lore-nerds,pvpers,raiders,casuals,etc) and also looking back and fixing old content that doesnt feel good, cause yeah, who knew you can respect your old work, your blood sweat and tears of years past and make older content better! PS:also I disagree that wow patches are bigger than FF's. They are if you compare only the content for hardcore players,if you have those glasses on!
So glad people are excited about 6.1. In general 0.1 patches are pretty tame with a lot of QOL stuff that gets the ball rolling on the expansion but seeing people really enjoy these changes, come back from a little break of the game or just better prepare what they wanna do in general is heart warming
At 3:30, I'm confused, what do you mean it's gonna be the game's first alliance raid? It's like... the 5th one. Crystal tower is the first... Unless you mean the first part of the alliance raid for this expansion...
It could be that he's trying to call it the first alliance raid not involving crossover/referential story material (such as the Crystal Tower series, Return to Ivalice series, or YoRHa: Dark Apocalypse series), which still isn't quite true when taking the Shadow of Mhach (Heavensward) alliance raid series into account. Perhaps he meant it's going to be the first alliance raid in this new, post-Crystal Saga timeline we're about to explore during Newfound Adventure. Or "the first part of the alliance raid for this expansion" as you've said...?
Bellular, the gods of the setting weren't created by Louisaux. They have existed forever, he merely set up summoning symbols that took advantage of already present aether levels to help channel a summoning to call forth the gods to help seal up Bahamut.
You said T3 and I was like "What has Bahamut's Bouncy Castle got to do with anything?" (We used T1-13 to refer to Binding Coil turns. Would not recommend using them in this matter).
I am 100% all for the in-game preview of store items, I play femroe so it's always a gamble whether items will look good on me of not Usually I would just camp out at a city and wait for another player to run past who is wearing store glams and then preview from there So in the end, this preview system is just cutting the player hunt for me!
roulettes twice a day would HIGHLY increase fomo imo since the roulette can be a one and done for the day with very respectable rewards and it already takes around 2-3hrs if you are using duty finder. what im getting at is that it might be a problem for the casual playerbase who only play on 3hour blocks every other day
Because of how forgiving and accessible FFXIV is, I’ve actually been able to enjoy Lost Ark for a while without feeling like I’ve fallen behind. Now, I have two unique MMO’s to enjoy!
This is the first time I am experiencing a patch cycle as well, and it looks promising with lots of filler content. Experiencing a standard content schedule is actually quite nice to plan my time with the game accordingly.
I'm glad they're finally taking steps to improve the pvp experience. PvP has always been a weak spot for FF even to the point of some modes being neglected. I hope the updates in 6.1 revitalizes the PvP scene and the rewards and new system good enough to entice people into trying the new modes out.
Personally I am giving GW2 a new shot after years of neglecting it and I am having fun. When there is a bit more out in FFXIV I will check back in and binge the MSQ and new stuff. And I just love how the devs encourage that instead of trying to jebait me into logging in daily just because.
Emet mention so many places in Endwalker we need to visit and help out that the key to where we going next plus in the Endwalker trailer a key character said " This star still has secrets to tell, Goodbye my friend" meaning something else is pulling the strings in the shadows that we don't know yet and it may come to light in the new MSQ storyline. For me i want to go to the places Emet said we need to visit plus what happening to the other shards and save them.
6.1 is going to be quite different from what we usually get and it's going to be fun. For now I'm leveling alt jobs/classes and watch some shows while I wait for the patch to be released.
Still not finished Endwalker and I am ok with that, I am taking my time (less of that free than I used to have) but am not under this pressure of omg must catch up I'm losing out, I just don't feel like that in FF, I will get there and I will have enjoyed the journey and the story and that works for me. But OMG more Hildebrand squeeeeeeee@@@@@
One thing to keep in mind is this is an odd number patch, so its meant as a catch up patch, so the scale is more focused on casual content, we are getting an ultimate, but no item level increase or savage raids to really get stuck into, unlike the even number patches (although the weapon from the ultimate will just barely be BIS by having the same stats as the current weapons, but one more materia slot.)
My speculation for the 12 has always been tied to confirmation that Ivalice is a part of the FFXIV world. I've been suspecting for a long time that the introduction of FFT and Ivalice into the world was potentially to tie the Zodiac Braves legend to some version of the 12. Also I mean, the Zodiac is comprised of 12 signs... Aligns really nicely with '12'.
"Sure, a WoW major content patch is larger than an FF one", this is only true if all you care about are the hardcore raids, in terms of overall content it's the complete opposite, XIV's patches dwarf WoW's.
"If you could level up a character by just doing those roulettes" It's literally the only source of my WHM's exp apart from class quests :D L66 going strong. You don't get a ton of exp per day, but you do get a ton per time spent playing.
Based on he Griffins in the raid screenshot I'm thinking that we are going to see Rhalgr as part of this tier given hes the god revered in Gyr Abania and Ala Mhigo this can even be looked at from the prospect of the griffin being the symbol of Ala Mhigo
@@sirnonsense5033 Thirteen, if you want to split hairs since Nald'thal is a set of twins (Nald and Thal seperately) in a similar way to Gemini being the combination of the twins Castor and Pollux. All of this has made me wonder since ShB if there's a fourteenth member of the Eorzean pantheon that has either been omitted or forgotten, and I hope this raid series helps answer that.
@@KaayuMajiad the alliance raids always have 4 bosses so naldthal will likely be together. Also thals bloody balls I can’t wait to use these 12 slur I’ve been finding online 🤣
I mean, theoretically, we have a lot of different paths. Everything Emet said at the end, but also what the Scions were getting up to. Garlemald. The Loprits. Restoring Thavnir. Sharlayan reintegration. Meteion, who is still around. The omnicrons and other recreations from Ultima Thule. All of this needs to be resolved. Also, here there be spoilers. Don't read ahead unless you have completed all jobs quests in Shadowbringers. Really, I mean it. You still here? You better have actually done it or not care about massive spoilers... Alright they are gone. I actually really want them to play up restoring the 14th. We know our resident friends are working on it, but I'm hoping this eventually becomes an expansion.
I came over from wow last year an I absolutely love how ff14 refers to things that haven’t happened yet that are seeded expansions in advance and always call back and tie in keeping everything story driven and story relevant… opposed to wow where each expansion seems to be a stand alone game…
I was hoping when he was on about the trust stuff that they’d update the adventure squadron and use your selected npc adventurers instead of random npc’s on the trust thing
Bellular, if your team hasn't told you, with Treasure Trove coming out this coming weekend, this is the best week to grind out the levels and spells for Blue Mage. BLU Illregular tomestone farming is crazy and a great experience to feel. You can level BLU to 70 in about 2-3 hours and with practice, likely get the minimum spells needed for the "grind" in a day or two with some friends. Good luck!
I am glad I am an adventurer again, all is as it should be. But we still have work to do, like liberating the world of darkness. Custom Deliveries is good for leveling current tier gatherer and crafters, mixed with the eventual crafter beast tribe, if you just want to casually keep your crafters and gatherers up to date.
I finished endwalker but i am still a sprout too so i really appreciate your video. I am also catching up and did Eden raids, Nier raids, Omega raids, Ivalise and Pandemonium but still haven't done Alexander and Void. I leveled 5 classes to lv 90 to do role quests but still all te other classes are around 20 or a couple levels above the unlocked level. I touched on Eureka and was fun but i want to make use of exps to leveling so maybe Bozja first. They are my bucket list and estimating from my weekly play time, it will take more than a year lol. Then patch 6.1. Yes want to try PVP and everything. Oh i need to get weapon from pandemonium before it comes (3rd week after i started to run pandemonium once a week). I can't afford multiple games financially so I compare several popular games and since i liked Nier Raid so much i am thinking of pyaing Nier: Automata but well it is very likely to sleep in my PC ( I don't have time for it) so I have kept postponing purchase (maybe when theres a big discount on steam lol. ps I love Omega so much. My ranking so far thou; 1 Nier raid 2 Omega 3 Eden Pandemonium (well should not put here bc it just started) and I har Allexander is good and havent done raids in Bozjia yet.... I can play for years lol
I think it would be hilarious if the Twelve turned out to be The Fourteen - The One Lost to Darkness and The One Lost to Time (you should know who they are if you've played) with of course a certain someone donning the name of Azemya. And then at the end, you just see them pull down their hoods and be like, BUT IT WAS I, ____ ALL ALONG!" Just another one of their random plans that they had enacted over the years.
MSQ and alliance raid story never have anything to do with each other, but this time it will be from eorzea, and I wonder if it will connected from now on, like crystal tower was
Omega still seem obsessed with returning home in its last spoken moments and can be seen staring at the Ragnarok if you had finished the raid series before a certain point in the Endwalker MSQ, so I assume we'll be taking it on a little field trip to visit what remains of its creators.
If you get married, you need to go through a quest line with your partner that is to get the blessing of the 12. In addition the 12 play big part in the story for Astro. So its good to check out.
As a resident now of the Materia DC, I'm most looking forward to Housing (Savage). Our FC has fat sacks of cash ready to go and I've got my own fat sack of cash, so time to join the fight for mansions in Empyrean!
2:00 --- If Louisoix wouldve summoned (!!!) the Twelve it would've been your usual Primal summoning, tempering everyone. And Louisoix wasnt foolish enough to do that. In WoW there wasnt really a plan to look foreward to. In Legion or so, they had quite a strikt plan for their patches but already in BfA they plan got holes. Then Shadowlands gets announced, Covid arrived and stayed for two years, and schedules got overthrown. FF14, too, suffered from the pandemic, but despite of it, they kept the schedule going - with only minor delays, and yes, they couldnt release as much as they would've liked. WoW with Shadowlands had some serious content drought, and we are all (well, mostly) convinced that a chunk of content was scraped for the sake of 10.0. I dont know the entire patch history of FF14, but they release their patches more frequently and share parts of their schedule with us - to the point that they make themselves vulnerable: after all, what if something goes wrong and they have to delay? They couldnt say, it was all planed that way, because we would know it wasnt. WoW doesnt share anything really with their community, probably out of fear for getting called out if things dont go according to plan. That might make planning a little easier, but it doesnt help gaining trust.
I’m willing to bet the 12 are just the other summoners of Hydaelyn. At least there’s some link there. As for the next big villains. Well, there are four ascians we haven’t really encountered. And now they can’t rejoin the shard. I assume Halmarut, Deudalaphon, Pashtarot and Altima. Maybe they’ve decided to rule over the new world or mess with the dragons in Meracydia
I hope they use these ascians in a story outside the msq or keep them in the fridge for a long time if they were to appear on it. We deserve a break from the Ascians...
"Yeah, you probably forgot about the Twelve after the character creation screen" Twelve forfend that is true, I can't think of any long time player I know who doesn't keep them in mind for almost every theory or speculation before a patch. The setting and characters are also constantly referencing them, even when cursing with Thal's balls or the Seven Hells. Then again I guess this is meant for new WoW players who still are not used to having world building details actually be relevant in the world.
Omega! YES!
Wishlist The Pale Beyond now, to help us out! bit.ly/TPB_Steam
He appeared to many Instalments Worlds (I, V, VI, X, XIII, XV, etc)
ALL its appearances to the other FINAL FANTASY Installments are from this period.
True.... what make old classic good is the feeling of bring adventure and experience new stuffs
but to experience something again for nostalgia sake just isn't it...
From what I remember they did something like this not long ago, that event where you could buy the Ifrit jacket.
@@victorpurificacao2855 Yes, that was the Irregular Tomestone (Moogle Treasure Trove) event. It has been a regular thing since early 2019.
How does this work? You do the event stuff and buy beast tribe items?
That's what GW2 has been doing for 10 years as well. :)
I heard you can only Play unless you have subscription...which really made me sad how much is it if any one knows
We have been waiting for YEARS for more expansion on The Twelve. I'm very excited for this alliance raid series.
Agreed!
One of the biggest strenghts of XIV is that even if the content can often be done in a day or two, it is CUMULATIVE content. The longer the game lives, the better of a deal it becomes for new players starting from the very beginning.
Took me 8 months to get through MSQ
I've been playing daily for over a year and my completionist self is still in Stormblood
Yeah definitely, tried out the game to lv 30 last year, came back when endwalker launched and finished the msq last night. One of the best experiences in gaming for me.
Yoshi-P is such a project manager at heart
the 12 summoned at cartenau were the primal incarnations in the same way titan is the primal incarnation of the earthfather. i think their identities are all somehow related to certain personages on the convocation of 14.
His symbol shows up as part of the incantation momentarily
Nymeia, while not referenced in the msq, was vital to the rising event in 2021, which revolved around a flower named after her, Nymeia Lillies.
Byregot is the Patron Diety of phat Quality increases and his Blessing has conjurer many a HQ. 🙏🏾
Don’t forget expletives in Eorzea include (Nald)Thal’s Bloody Balls and Matron’s (Nophica) teats!
I could be wrong tho endwalker is unique in a way
@@Nightly_Winter casual content, such as Dragonsong Ultimate
And thus To The Edge was born
I have never forgotten about the Twelve they're so ingrained in the world of FF14.
The melee and magic ones are a def play. The others aren’t as good
@@teemopanda02 I wasn't comparing them, I just figured he mentioned not seeing Aymeric in a while meant he didn't do caster yet.
Melee+Ranged won btw. Healer decent, Caster boring, Tank very boring.
I have played FF 14 EVERYDAY for 3 years and 2 months. I am just this week waiting for something to do.
And I played because I wanted to.
Uhhh we already figured out where the place from the Screenshot is tho. It's the heaven of lightning where Rhalgr and Byregot live.
That pause transition was a great touch! The improvements on your channels really have been showing in recent months
I'm very curious on where the story is going, but until then I still have so much I haven't done from past patches or even the job quests.
Can't wait for everything to come!
It's hard to even say what I am most excited for...6.1 is going to be a good patch for me.
a housing bidding system that wont have 40 ppl house camping. that's #1 lol
The next live letter will also be big for FFXIV content creator/reactors since it will start with the 6.1 patch trailer! It will start at the beginning of the live letter like every part 2 of a patch live letter.
That moment when you realize you might very well be the inspiration for one of The Twelve.
In 1.0 we had a quest towards the end of the storyline where we had to examine those spots with the Twelve’s symbols. Basically getting them ready for that final event. Although we didn’t know exactly what we were doing then until the servers went down and that cutscene started playing.
It’s crazy that I still get excited for the future of this game even after supposed “end” and I’ve been playing since 2.0.
I mean in endwalker one of the character near the end litterally told you about places you have yet to visit, and mysteries to uncover, and uses the true identity of the 12 as a direct ecample, so its fair to assume we also got a couple hints about future maps or dungoens in that line aswell. (Its a cutscene before the lvl 89 msq dungeon for those wanting to find it)
ive been waiting so long for him to start doing these breakdowns :3
I wonder if Tataru's grand endeavor is going to be like the post moogle sidequests? Anywho, thanks for the video!
I think the screenshot of the alliance raid might be the Fury, the area has a slight resemblance to the Sea of Clouds and Anyx Trine
Pretty sure he didn't mean that Louisoix created them
You said T3 and I was like "What has Bahamut's Bouncy Castle got to do with anything?" (We used T1-13 to refer to Binding Coil turns. Would not recommend using them in this matter).
I'm here to show my appreciation for bahamuts bouncy castle
I am 100% all for the in-game preview of store items, I play femroe so it's always a gamble whether items will look good on me of not
Usually I would just camp out at a city and wait for another player to run past who is wearing store glams and then preview from there
So in the end, this preview system is just cutting the player hunt for me!
roulettes twice a day would HIGHLY increase fomo imo since the roulette can be a one and done for the day with very respectable rewards and it already takes around 2-3hrs if you are using duty finder. what im getting at is that it might be a problem for the casual playerbase who only play on 3hour blocks every other day
Only thing that's really time consuming with daily roulette depends on your luck with MSQ roulie
14:57 - I just finished editing a video, the ESC tag triggered something in me haha
I'm glad they're finally taking steps to improve the pvp experience. PvP has always been a weak spot for FF even to the point of some modes being neglected. I hope the updates in 6.1 revitalizes the PvP scene and the rewards and new system good enough to entice people into trying the new modes out.
I've been messing around in Frontlines and have to admit its a lot of fun, especially as Dragoon
Personally I am giving GW2 a new shot after years of neglecting it and I am having fun.
When there is a bit more out in FFXIV I will check back in and binge the MSQ and new stuff.
And I just love how the devs encourage that instead of trying to jebait me into logging in daily just because.
It’s the transition to the end credits with the Sharalyan night time theme for me
Do we get more dresser space and glamour plates? I NEED THIS!
I'm not sure how this will be the first alliance raid, we've had them for years already
I doubt we’ll see a new version of Answers, since that was tied to Hydaelyn and that story has concluded.
Haven't played since I beat Endwalker can't wait to hop in!
"If you could level up a character by just doing those roulettes"
It's literally the only source of my WHM's exp apart from class quests :D L66 going strong. You don't get a ton of exp per day, but you do get a ton per time spent playing.
Have you done the Rabanastre raid? If not definitely worth doing as well.
Im sure Tatarus endeavor will be the trial questline like the weapons or four lords etc
definitely not the first alliance raid, there are tons of them. It is the first part of the new one though.
Based on he Griffins in the raid screenshot I'm thinking that we are going to see Rhalgr as part of this tier given hes the god revered in Gyr Abania and Ala Mhigo this can even be looked at from the prospect of the griffin being the symbol of Ala Mhigo
Lightning, Griffins, definitely Rhalgr.
Rhalgr is also the presumed basis for the Sylphs' Ramuh.
I mean there are 12 gods and 3 raids.... pretty sure we get 4 gods each if we do all.
Lightning also involves the Byregot’s Tower, so I can see him
Being involved as well.
I REALLY need to finish up MSQ I’m about to finish up stormblood
Wasn't gryphon the symbolic animal for Ala Mhigo?
Can't say I care at all for Tatarus stuff but looking forward to the raids! Ultimate and the 12. I love seeing the history of the world.
I've been doing my duties as a guardian in d2 since witch queen launch but I know I'll eventually return to 14 sometime soon
You need to turn down the parties particle effects. You can barely see the boss in those raids.
I hope the preview store outfits thing is just a proof of concept for an eventual full glamour catalog
I freaking loved the content, keep it up!
Meteor finally looks happy. Let's see how long that lasts.
Their PVP season thing is intended to remove FOMO by bringing back old items for purchase wish pvp currency.
That Myths of the Realm tower kinda looks like the crystal tower in crystairium but without the crystals 😅
MSQ and alliance raid story never have anything to do with each other, but this time it will be from eorzea, and I wonder if it will connected from now on, like crystal tower was
We wouldn't be able to figure out where Myths of the realm takes place? That's Ala Mhigo. Probably the Palace
Would love the msq roulettes would get updated with main story quests not just castrum or the other one
FF14 is so much better than WoW
we had more in a single patch than wow entire expansion
If there is not a Thal + Nald or a Nald'thal boss fight with a mechanic revolving around orbs/spheres/balls... I'm gonna be highly disappointed.
Thal's balls!
Omega still seem obsessed with returning home in its last spoken moments and can be seen staring at the Ragnarok if you had finished the raid series before a certain point in the Endwalker MSQ, so I assume we'll be taking it on a little field trip to visit what remains of its creators.
I wonder if Alpha will be joining us? They were travelling together, after all, and Alpha was also part of Omega's questline.
If you get married, you need to go through a quest line with your partner that is to get the blessing of the 12. In addition the 12 play big part in the story for Astro. So its good to check out.
Playing that music was a bad move, its so relaxing I was falling asleep. Reason why I dont craft in that city. Such a beautiful night city song.
As a resident now of the Materia DC, I'm most looking forward to Housing (Savage). Our FC has fat sacks of cash ready to go and I've got my own fat sack of cash, so time to join the fight for mansions in Empyrean!
I just want to see the Hrothgar hair lol. Still hoping for Wind Caller hairstyle
I got a curiosity!
As you're half-fresh Xiv player .... What are you doin' daily in Xiv these day as it like 2 month since the savage is out?
"Yeah, you probably forgot about the Twelve after the character creation screen"
Twelve forfend that is true, I can't think of any long time player I know who doesn't keep them in mind for almost every theory or speculation before a patch. The setting and characters are also constantly referencing them, even when cursing with Thal's balls or the Seven Hells. Then again I guess this is meant for new WoW players who still are not used to having world building details actually be relevant in the world.
