I reviewed Stop the Bleeding in my little fanzine in the day, and I raved over Ted's drumming. He looked up my phone number and called me to thank me for the kind words. So cool.
Same here! And thanks so much for stopping by - I'm an admirer of yours too, btw. I showed the Paramæcium stuff in my video last week about the letter P :)
Thank you for making this video for Ted, God rest his soul. I first got into Tourniquet in 91. Ted has inspired me in my drumming career. God bless his family and his legacy will live on.
Was very unexpected to see the statement of Ted's passing. Such a great musician and awesome drummer with a unique style. Hopefully the new Tourniquet album will see the light of day. Great tribute video Jeff! 👍🏼
Just last month he posted a video of one of the tracks, so I know chunks of it are probably fully complete. I do hope it see the light of day in some fashion in the future.
Hi Jeff!! so sorry to heara bout the passing of Ted, he been one of your influences, it's sad seeing our heroes leaving so early... I have not heard anything from them so far, any suggestion?? cheers and be well
If you run across any of their first three releases with the original singer, grab them (Stop the Bleeding, Psychosurgery, or Pathogenic Ocular Dissonance) those are oozing with so much originality. The rest of their releases are great, but vary from time to time, as bands do. But if you stumble on any, grab one and check it out.
I wasn't a huge Tourniquet fan but I like some of their songs. I have that KMG Intense Live Series with Deliverance, Tourniquet and Die Happy. That's the only CD I have of them. Ted is in Christian Thrash/Prog Metal to what Mike Portnoy is in Mainstream Prog Metal. Both are extremely talented and come from great bands. Unfortunately, many of these musicians are getting up there in years or get an illness that is fatal. They leave behind some great music, a testimony and memories.
Ted Kirkpatrick personally handed me "stop the bleeding" for free, I was a fan ever since.

Awesome work Jeff. I'm a huge admirer and fan of Ted since late 80's. Miss him greatly.

He is one of the people who influenced me to play drums. I am sad to hear he passed. But glad to know I will see him in the new heavens and new earth
Very cool to hear. I was a novice drummer when first hearing him, and he inspired me too.
A MASTERMIND DRUMMER! TOURNIQUET GOT ME INTO METAL AND THRASH A LONG WITH BELIEVER! REST IN PEACE
BROTHER! 🎼🎶🙏💯🥁🎸👊
Yes, he was phenomenal, I loved his playing, and I think on the early albums it was influential to my early days of drumming.
Thanks, Ted, for teaching me about the Word of Faith movement.
Sad loss

Same here, he blew me away on drums, and I've had a little influence from some of his fills too.

Great vídeo, amazing
Thanks
Great video Jeff! What a big loss in the Christian Metal scene and music in general.
I agree, and so suddenly, while working on a new album. Just sad on so many levels.
I only just found out about this. I'm heartbroken. We love you Ted.
Yes, sad indeed, such great music he left behind as his legacy.

Yes, I agree with your synopsis.
I pray we get some unreleased material. RIP Ted
Same here
I'm just finding out, wow. This is a bummer for sure.
Yeah, a shocker and unexpected news for sure.
I haven't ever heard that some one would call to thank review or something like that. That was nicely done.
mr. Finglish (Bäd English Recs)
Yeah, it was a highlight of my music review career :)
I saw them live at the Gothic theater in Denver in 92.
I never got to see them live, sadly. That must have been cool for sure.
Michael Bloodgood and Ted Kirkpatrick in the same month
Yeah, crazy sad
He will die in September? Creepy
Ooops! Fixed - yikes.
