Am starting to get why she is so fresh. She was not shaped in the cookie cutter of college...and she was brave enough to create her own content and define a new approach

I'm hooked on Jonathan Fields' videos, but this is the first time that I had a really hard day and found myself turning to one of the interviews a way to pull myself out of the downward spiral. This interview and subject was particularly helpful given my present circumstances. Hooray for Jonathan Fields! Thank you Daneille LaPorte!

What I'm hearing from this conversation is really the desire for connection. Isn't that what "being seen" is really about? The connection that we experience with others, or with another?
In our evolution of connection then our perception of what connection is changes, it's transformed in the process of our evolution. The traffic, the social media, the followers...those really represent connection, we just aren't as clear about that in the beginning..
Beautiful conversation! Thank you Danielle and Jonathan..

Great interview! Thank you for brining Danielle on your show. I love the idea of granting yourself permission to desire what you desire and focusing on how you want to feel :)

I have been aware of Danielle and her work for years. What keeps me coming back to her work and her presence is the fact that she is honest about her process and open. She's also a Type 4 in the Enneagram system and if you aren't familiar with us 4s, I encourage you to look them up! She's definitely a good example of someone who marries her words with her actions. Always makes me think. This interview is so good.

    Ooh I'm a few
Minutes in... As an Unschooling mom, college teacher
    And
College grad and LOVE what you say about school. "We already come fully formed"..... Oh,
I love this. "Nobody ever asked me 'how do you want to feel?"............ Awesome.

I'm starting to get addicted to these interviews by Jonathan Fields. Some tea and Good Life Project starts the day in a good way.

Am I the only one who doesn't get this girl? I've seen a few interviews with her, but everytime, I fail to understand what people see in her.

I'd guess her style / content aren't a fit for you at this point. In my experience, the teachers / resources that work for us change over time.

Ah thanks Jay! I think what annoys me with her is that she never seems to make proper sentences: subject, verb, complement.

Have you heard prince Ea school Spoken word?
School should be an open space full of options. Many areas, tables, booths, or with all types of topics and the kids go to which ever one draws their interest. Each booth has a teacher, videos, audios or single page graphic guides.
Spending 5 minutes at each booth, the kid will learn so much, they will go home and teach their parents. Retaining information is all about interest. The mind remembers what is seeks out and puts into action, which is stronger than just being told something.

I think it's hard for me to ask for what I want because of the way I grew up. It was rude to ask for things as a child. Asking was seen as the equivalent of begging and begging is shameful. Oddly, as an adult that mentality carried over on a professional level, but I'm learning. Thank you so much for this video.

WOW, I had no idea that she didn't go to university . . . although I've always taken college courses throughout life, I've always felt I should put it altogether and finish. However, I do completely agree with Danielle's assessment of school in general. Although I loved most of my son's teachers, they were restricted by the system and their own time constraints and their own emotional limitations.

I disagree. College was an integral part of my life. It wasn't everything, but it certainly served as one of several catalysts to bring out what apparently, I was already born with. I just cannot seem to resonate with her. And that's ok. I am sure she is helping many and that is all that matters.
