こういう場所で朝目覚め、生活をしていれば、物が少なくても
心が豊かになれそう。
物に不自由しない日本、でも何か最近色々疲れてきた、、、
確かに日本の都会だと特にそう感じることも多いかもしれませんね。ただ日本を離れて、逆に日本にしかない魅力に気付かされ、なぜもっと色々な経験をしなかったんだろうと思います。

私は子供の頃からヨーロッパに惹かれ、小学生の頃はいつも地図帳を見てはスイス、
オーストリアあたりを見て楽しんでました😆
大人になって、イギリスとフランスを旅した時は夢のようで、、国際免許を持参し、
イギリスではレンタカーでコッツウォルズへ🚙💨
娘が今ドイツの大学に行っているので、ドイツも行くことが出来、嬉しいです。
昔から憧れていたスイスとオーストリアのインスブルックへ行きたいと思ってます🇨🇭
日本は世界と比較すると色んな意味で唯一無二の国ですが、近年情緒を養える環境は
失われつつあるような、、でもここで生きて行くしかありません、、

The large Sarreguimes plate that is oblong (at 27:56) is a serving platter (since you asked). I had a feeling you'd buy those pretty blue and white tea cups. Those are beautiful, too. 💕

全部が素晴らしくて、拝見しているだけで満足感たっぷりです💕買った食器が重かったでしょうに、撮影して見せてくださってありがとうございます。蚤の市では映っていなかったティーカップ、本当に素敵な味わいでいいなぁと思います。我が家では楕円の大皿は、フランスパンを切って並べて各々でオープンサンドにしたり、サラダを大盛りにしたり、パウンドケーキを乗せたり、1人の時のワンプレートに使ったり。使い方はありきたりですが出番がとても多くて、欠かせないお皿です。

New subscriber! Wonderful markets. I love your taste in plates and flatware. So happy you found the pattern you love. I loved the blue cups/saucers. So delicate. I also love lone saucers like the pale pink and green one you showed. I use them as a base for pillar candles.

Lovely views and pretty plates and cups. I’m Japanese living in Japan and have been to France several times but I haven’t had a chance to explore outside of Paris too much yet. Nice to see other locations but because of Covid I’m not going to travel internationally for a while but it was nice to see the beautiful view regardless.
I’m more familiar with English and American brands of high-end designer kitchenware. And I had no idea of those French antique brands except Longchamp. 😅 I liked the blue painted earthenware, and the saucer and cups. They’re very pretty. In England they also have similar styles to those but different brands. I think you got bargain prices on those flower painted red and yellow salad bowls. I can’t wait to be able to travel internationally again to Europe.

The big plate you use to serve a carved turkey or roast chicken or fish or carved meat such as ham or steak with potatoes. You bought some really nice things and you got a good price too.

Beautiful videoI really loved your choice of music, I danced by myself and even the dogs, they did not like. Lol, loved everything you picked up such beautiful dishes,the big plate is called a platter in the states. We usually use it for large meats like turkey, roast beef and things like that. I’m sure that in other parts of the world it has many other different uses. Subscribe and liked😊❤
Wonderful choices, can understand the difficulty in choosing which to buy, what marvelous items and treasures. The larger platter is good for meats or meat and potatoes, even large servings of rice for larger dinner parties. Also good for desserts, fruits. Love the pattern of the matching plates. The oval shaped plate is used to keep rice on the table. Here in Kerala, India I use it for that. I have arcopal oval rice plate from France which is about 45 years old. Really beautiful and precious.

What a gorgeous environment for an antique flea market. It was great to watch you shop as you gave us a good look at everything including things that weren't china/dishes. You asked what to use the big platter for. I would use it for serving a casual meal where people make their own sandwiches. So you could put on it cheese, charcuterie, lettuce, tomato slices, cucumbers, etc to make a sandwich. Add little bowls of dressing, olives, pickles, etc. Or use it for holding Thai spring roll ingredients. Or put together a fruit plate with cut up fruit, dried fruit, maybe a few cookies. That is not the traditional use but that is how I would use it

The big Agreste plate may be useful to serve appetizers or roast beef. I even serve cheese with ham and melon or fruit. The items you purchased are very nice. 😊

In Scotland, from whence my wife originates, the large plate is called an 'Ashet' and used as a carving and/or serving dish.
Hello from Brisbane. I love all of your purchases especially the cups and saucers with the Japanese style design. I use beautiful antique Japanese plates and cups every day. They were purchased from my favourite flea market in Tokyo. Bonnie has explained very well how the large plate (platter) is used.
