Amazing this thing is 3 ish lbs for this much capacity. Kick ass crossover EDC / large travel bag. Love the vx xpac fabric! Just with the interior was orange instead of brown. Maybe red.
Great review. I personally love the front pocket. It can hold an iPad 12.9 with case. It can hold 7-9 liters, basically a slings worth and be available over the shoulder. It’s way better than an evergoods front pocket like that
I talk about this in my Alpha 31 review. I don’t think they are similar bags other than the expansion and compression capabilities. I do prefer the Alpha 31 due to easier/faster compression and expansion, organization, and comfort.
I'm very happy to see a new interior color. Everyone does light gray and bright orange. Both have been well used and need to be replaced 👏 👏 👏
Yeah a new interior color would be cool. What would you like to see?
@@CityTrekker surprise me.

Yeah a bright interior would be cool for sure.

Agreed
Thanks for the comprehensive review! I've been curious about the ATD1for a while ;)
Thanks! It's pretty amazing.
Fantastic review, I like your style, looking forward to watch more of your stuff
Nice! Try and snag a 5L PD V1 sling used or someone may still be selling them. The 5L is the perfect shape and size...
22" height is a key number for carry-on. Do you have an estimate for number of liters when bag is at 22" height?
Wow, that's a good question. Doing some quick math (the other two dimensions are 12" and 10.2") it's probably around 40L or so at 22" of height.
How does this bag compare to the RE Alpha 31? Which one do you prefer?

When you but your stuff in this bag the length will go more than 30 cm? (They clam 50x30x26
Thank you Super Mario
Is there anymore information for the ATD2? I'm on the edge of buying a bag but I'm not sure whether I should wait or not!
It should be out next year. But to clarify, the ATD2 is not V2 of the ATD1. It is a slightly smaller version of the ATD1, meant more for EDC.
Damn get a smaller sleeping bag
Ha. Yeah. This is an old sleeping bag I got probably 25 years ago. Much better and smaller options now. Any that you'd recommend?
