I just wanna thank you for making such quality content. I probably have over a years worth of playtime combined and I didn't realize how runes worked, i.e. what a good rune is, until I found your channel.
I wanna propose one extra step into your guide for the later-game players: I like to first go into my RTA optimizer and check for re-grind targets first. Especially when you mention in the 20-22 minute mark about violent grinds, I think that it is higher priority to re-grind your RTA runes to something borderline acceptable (6%) BEFORE adding fresh grinds onto less used violent runes. That's just my personal preference. Either way you do it, you are still probably on the right path.
That's a good point, I do the same (I actually use SWOP on 2 PCs so I can have one RTA and one normal file loaded, and I follow this same process but on my 2nd PC in the RTA rune manager for vio and will). Taking this a step further - speed grinds in particular can really screw you up in RTA if you grind the wrong vio rune.

Regarding grinds/gems, I have a huge problem with mana management which is a concern since I have a finite amount of crystals. While it appears a huge majority of the community is selling blue grinds, I agree with you that blue grinds are very valuable because my benchmark for an acceptable grinded line is +6%. The consequence for us keeping more grinds is R5 becomes a HUGE mana sink. The advice that the community has provided me seems to suggest that most people GAIN mana from farming R5. I wanted to get your opinion on this since I know you are a very analytical person. How does R5 affect your mana? Every time I do it, I seem to LOSE mana. When I farm rune dungeons, even when I was just doing GB10 before the B12's came out, I would GAIN mana. At some point, should I be GAINING mana from R5? Thank you sir!
R5 is a mana sink for me as well. Because I am NOT free to play, I have always balanced this out with NB12 farming. My NB12 teams have (except for a few months using Julie) always been equal to or faster than DB12 teams, but with a much higher rate of mana return. The calculation for me is different - it's about speed of progression, how can I farm and use the most mana and grinds and gems in the shortest period of time. But it's the same challenge you face also, as it's about optimization and efficiency. Taking that same O&E approach from an F2P perspective, I'd suggest you start selling SOME blues, specifically I'd probably keep all vio will and swift blues, and perhaps all synergized blues (atk% for fatal and rage, hp% for energy), but sell the remaining blues. This would help strike a balance between energy and mana generation. It's something to test and see if it helps strike a balance, and then fine tune from there? :)

You can only gem 1 stat. You can grind and re-grind, and each time you re-grind, the higher of the two rolls if what you get to keep (the same is true of re-gemming)

Is it possible to use the in game rune menu to figure out which runes to grind? My pc isn’t good enough to run SW on so I can’t use any 3rd party optimizers.
You can filter by substat, but it still tends to be a TON of work because the only way to see the amount of an enchant is to go power up -> enchant on every rune :/ If you have a Windows 10 PC, even if it's very bad, it should be good enough to use the optimizer for this purpose as you're not calculating rune combinations, just filtering data :)

So how do you use the optimizer? I looked at it the other day trying to get a BJR5 team optimized but I kept getting errors about runes and what not... how do you get all your runes loaded into that program without manually doing every single one??

Assuming flat hp are sells besides legends. Also is there different rules for ancient grinds/enchants? Keep purples of those on flats
Correct on the flat :) And I might keep 1 purple flat grind per stat and set for ancients. And possibly the blue cd/cr gems. otherwise, no changes :)

A flat stat is a stat without percemtages. I.e. 8% hp vs. 445 hp. One gives 8% of your monster's base hp, the other gives a flat amount of hp
