Hi guys, I have 80 acres surrounded by several thousand acres of public land in northern Minnesota. We just moved here so I put a camera on a feeder and haven't seen any bucks. Where can I focus my cameras to see what bucks are on the property?

I believe people have over killed does. This buck to doe ratio idea I believe is the most detrimental idea that has happened in deer hunting. The. Umber one attractant to bucks is does. When people talk about hunting a big buck they go to places like Texas where does are like gnats. It surely doesn’t effect their buck herds. When I look at our herd or doe populations I look at our food. Is there enough food to hold the deer I have. Until that is effected I don’t push killing does. When we do kill does I target the older does. Why? Because if we believe that does carry 60% of the genetics I want to push the old genetics out and let the new genetics get a chance to show me what type of bucks we are producing. If you target your young does you are knocking out your new genetics before they have a chance to show you what they are producing.
