Being a technical leader it's easy to say developers don't document but he should understand here at first place why isn't there a second person who should be backup resource. When a task is being held by a single person, it's really important for manager to make sure, the process gets documented. Due to so called budget constraints, orgs don't hire enough resources & complain on stuff.

Great point! Responsibility goes both ways from an organization even back to ICs to create healthy processes for the future.

Good interview, the speaker gave interesting points on setting expectation, ownership and how to deal with tribal knowledge. These are realistic points.

I usually like the content of this channel but this one was bad. The speaker is giving lame examples and thinks whatever Elon uttered about engineering managers is right. Big thumbs down.
