Just watching Endo sensei can be so deceptive, especially for people who never did aikido. It looks so soft, weak and "fake" (the buzzword of the youtube expert..) but if you actually experienced his aikido as an uke, you know its rock solid strong as strong can be and absolutely real. Senseis like this always INSIST the uke goes full force and doesnt hold back. Excellent demonstration of Endo sensei.
I can attest as well. He has exquisite control and always seems to be one step ahead of uke. He is also very fit and muscular, but doesn't use those in an obvious way in these sorts of demonstrations. Also, he is about 80 years old (born in 1942), making his fitness even more remarkable.
