+David Robinson, those guys are so soft it seems that they haven't any muscles, that's why they can not to strike properly the master. It seems Aikido is based on unrealistic principles, at least this video seems to be so.

y+Radoslaw Jocz Yes, it would "seem" so. You'd have to be there. I have trained with those "muscleless" ukes. You'd be surprised what they could pack.

    • @radoslawjocz2976

Tim Detmer 25% of karate + 25% of aikido + 25% of boxing or thai boxing + 25% of judo or jujitsu it is far better than 1 style because each style have its own limitations, assumptions, rules. But assumption do lie. Aikido guys do not strike properly, they do kind of tanoto sword like attacks all the time.
Karate guys jumping like idiots each second.
Boxers do know how to use hands but they have no idea how to use legs. And there are much more such examples.
Pure martial arts are not necessarily useful for fight or defence.

Usually many people had experience with a few different styles now days, even myself an old guy did it, I did Karate, Kung-fu, and a little bit of Judo, before settling with Aikido, I agree they all have something good to learn, but at one point, by choice, or sircunstance we all settle by one style, however it’s the person and how good he has learned what determine his victory or defeat, there’s no such style it’s better, some people it’s better to apply what they learned.

To discover Aikido we must meditate 2 time by day, like the founder…BECAUSE AIKIDO IS ENERGY…
MEDITATION : ✨🔆✨"Trust and believe. The divine power helps and heals."
“There is much that cannot be explained, but nothing that cannot happen.”
"A human being is a creature of Love. What’s created in love can live only in Love. Love is God!"
    (Bruno Gröning)
Bruno Gröning claimed that his ideas were not a new teaching or religion, but rather an ancient knowledge that had been lost, saying that people had forgotten "the most important thing," that there is a Higher Power or Force that is available to help people.
Gröning regarded health (rather than illness and disease) as the natural state of all living things and asserted that one can maintain health and heal from illness by absorption of a Divine life force that he called "Heilstrom," which translates into English as "Healing Wave" or "Healing Stream."

MMA is in competition with another. Aikido is unification with the whole of existence. If there is "other" you are competing with, you are by definition not practising aikido, and it will not work.
Victory in aikido is over the small self which believes it is separate from the universe - this self is an illusion, an idea. Ideas can always be in conflict with other ideas and other people's ideas, because they don't possess any essential reality. The purpose of aikido practise is to realise the spirit of unification and manifest it through the body, bringing the separated self into alignment with the whole universe.
Competition is not possible there, since how can the universe compete with itself?

@@muteqx " If there is "other" you are competing with, you are by definition not practising aikido, and it will not work."
So aikido has nothing to do with martial arts, it's more on the same level as yoga.

    • @muteqx
      @muteqx 4 роки тому +1

@@mightowgentlemensclub6806 It has everything to do with martial arts - on the level of changing the interaction to make a fight impossible by turning it into a non-fight before it has begun. How do you do that? Never show up as a fighter... and then who will the fight be between?
Aikido on a martial arts level, is to polish yourself ahead of time, so that whatever and whoever comes is simply absorbed and redirected without objection.
Please feel free to ask any more questions you may have, and I will endeavour to explain whatever I can?

Effective towards which goal? Which purpose? All martial arts has their own purpose and context. Don't be so quick to judge what you do not understand.
Don't judge the screwdriver on it's ability to hammer a nail, nor the hammer on it's ability to screw in a screw.

ToniMattTony with pure knowledge in just the bare basic techniques it wouldn't work. But after learning to find the flow of a human body (tenseing up) it will only work one way. After years of basic you can start applying it to modern attacks and can be very effective. I have used it in several situations to disarm the problem. The ukemi (falling) is important but makes it look fake as certain techniques like shihonage can break elbows and collar bones with out that fall it's very effective but takes a very long time to use it then develop into a modern fight style so in that time is not effective at all
