    I found when cutting anything like D2 and above(CPM stainless), if you don't cut straight, the blade goes dull instantly... Where as with AEB-l. and carbon Steels you can actually turn the steel in the bandsaw a bit... Took me dulling like 3 blades before i figured it out, hahaha.... Great video, take it easy...

    • @SLAVIKTELY
      @SLAVIKTELY  5 років тому

      That is very good to know. I destroyed a lot of blades cutting CPM

    • @evaderknives
      @evaderknives 5 років тому

      Me too, haha Then once I started cutting very straight, they were a lot easier to cut... I'm use to carbon steel where you can almost follow the lines... It's unbelievable how fast the blades go dull with CPM154 if you vear off just a little bit...

    Ребята, это творчество, и одному только мастеру известно для чего он его сделал. Возможно для человека сам процесс, важнее конечного результата. И своё мнение, оно потому так и называется, что оно при себе, и находится там, пока не попросят его высказать. А когда вы своё мнение суёте куда не просят, считая что кому то это важно, то это уже оценка. А кто вы такие, чтобы судить, оценочная комиссия, жюри? Одно дело иметь своё мнение, другое дело орать о нём во весь голос. Выставите свои работы, если вы что то делаете, и найдутся десятки людей, которые обосрут вашу работу, имея на это "своё мнение". Будьте людьми, всех благ.✌️

    I really like that plunge line and using the “French Curve”. You always make a beautiful knife.

    If you can buy or get some paint sticks to rap your sand paper on it will work better and easier on your fingers.

    When you put the grind bit in your drill press to create a 90 degree angle using the base plate my head faknuggin exploded

    I've never worked with cpm 154. Looks tough. Doesnt throw much sparks. Amazing steel.

      It will eat your band saw blades like there is no tomorrow. Very hard steel even in annealed state.

    The knife looks like a buck tang, that’s about a scaled ratio of a medium sized Australian Bowie knife.
