Hibs are pish but this is almost a new side to the one that played last season. Iexpected to be beaten but not nearly as bad as this. In the end it comes down to tactics. So many players played out of position.

For the record Elfsborg is currently 5th in the swedish league with no chance of winning the gold and they recently lost to the team that at the time was under the relegation line with 4-1 at home

When I saw this result I thought Malmo must be fucking fantastic. I thought they must be one of those truly brilliant teams playing in a poor league. Y'know, Sweden's answer to Benfica or Galatasaray. Then I watched them against Swansea and realised Hibs really are just that shite. I didn't think it was possible for a professional side to be so abysmally poor.

We wouldn't have lost 9-0 anyway. Hibs finished in the bottom half of the league the season before and only made Europe due to beating a second tier team in a cup semi final

Swedish players have an affinity for comparing themselves and their style out on the pitch to Barcelona with other top tier teams overmuch then consequently struggle to establish any self-confidence whatsoever, reason why they underperform in general. Malmö has only managed to mature beyond this threshold thanks through the EL-campaign 2011-12 that meant 1 draw and 5 losses out of 6 games played. Since then they haven't conceded a single goal at home in 8 European ties. Must have been that kind of form taking them to the CL-final back in 1979.

Likely they (another Scottish team) would have lost to Malmo, but in no way would it have been remotely as bad as Hibs 0-7 Malmo. Other teams such as St Johnstone have excelled (beating Rosenborg) and Aberdeen (beating Groningen). Hibernian have a history of being European shitehouses (such as vs Dnipro, Elfsborg and Vetra). Hibernian shamed Scottish football that night, historical shame that will live for decades.

celtic played elfsborg of the park at celtic we just didnt show the clinicality that we normally do and in the second leg , celtic knew elfsborg were shit at scoring there bet striker is a celtic reject (bangura) , so celtic played the game with a defensive agenda and elfsborg neve looked like scoring on the night a couple of half chances while celtic missed to chances we would score 9/10 celtic are miles ahead of any swedish team as we demonstrated in the champions league last year

Very sad to see scottish premier clubs being cut to shreds like that by any european side the SFA should do something drastic sick of seeing our teams get thumped I know this was few years ago but now 2018 can only hope that our domestic leagues get help for our kids it starts there quality coaching is needed or summer football bigger leagues gotta try something new in our game cos when I see this it bothers me cos scotland should have more quality our teams should be competing I know money is big issue tv deals the list goes on but the SFA gonna change there philosophy on coaching kids
SFA exists to serve the needs of the Old Firm......and developing Scottish kids ain't on their agenda.

celtic beat helingsborg 2-0 at home and 2-0 away so we didnt barely make it through there but elfsborg proved a tough test at home and away but over the two legs any elfsborg supporter would say celtic were the better team.

Then we could say that malmo should´ve gone far in EL 2011 after they had lost 4-1 away to AZ Alkmaar and then won 2-0 really close to 3-0 at home and were really close getting to cl. After that we PLAYED better then all the teams we were up against in the EL group including teams like Anderlacht and Rapid Wien but we lost every game because the other teams were more effective wich you have to be out in Europe wich lead us to lose all group games...
If you think it isn't possible for a professional side to be that poor then you mustn't watch much football. Sure Hibs are terrible - but I've seen terrible teams play all over Europe. I've even seen good teams play terrible - teams like Inter Milan, Arsenal, Liverpool, etc. I've seen unknown lower league teams across Eastern Europe - and trust me...there are some pretty awful teams out there... but yeah, Hibs shouldn't be allowed to play at that level haha.
