Music such as this is a great antidote to the woes of our current time, even pieces going back 300 years. They needed this music back then as much as we need it now.
To think, at one time poets carried this instrument and carried the feeling of not only the sound of the instrument, but the feeling of their words (as poets) with them, to anyone who cared and was astute enough to actually listen to it. "How far we've come and, yet, so far behind we are."🙂
Yeah it has been a horrible year. My sister died and my parents didn't even tell me. I found out from a coworker. Mom blocked me from finding out what she died from. She threatened my sister's Dr and the funeral home.

The inclusion of classical pieces composed much later than during the Renaissance was truly an inspired decision, convincingly demonstrating that the lute is not an instrument limited to playing only Renaissance music.
