I went with the Sony full frame Samyang 14mm f2.8 manual focus lens back in November. While the lens had a solid build, was sharp, and affordable at only $250 I couldn't stand using manual focus on an ultra wide lens. The focus throw just felt like you would keep rotating and rotating before finally making a full swing from 30cm to infinity. Nailing focus on subjects in the distance was a struggle as well. I opted to return the manual focus version and picked up the Samyang 14mm f2.8 AF series lens. At a price of $450 this lens checks all of the boxes with the exception of a lack of filter threads. AF is fast and spot on, sharpness is great, starbursts are possible when stopped down, and it still retains a close minimum focus distance of 20cm for dramatic close ups. I really enjoy using this lens and find the extra $200 for autofocus was well worth it.
funny that you should mention 10mm aps-c, i've been hoping ttartisan or 7artisans would produce something to compete with the laowa 10mm f4 cookie lens. since they typically manage to produce comparable quality for 75% of the laowa price, a 10mm rectilinear option from either should come in very near the price point you mentioned in the video.
Got the Sony 11 mm F1.8 which is quite similar to this FF equivalent and I have to say that it is a nice focal lenght which is really difficult to use in order to not look like a smartphone shot. Composition is key here.
Yoo, he's doing alot of aps-c content and now he released one FF lens review so just wait for new lenses to be released or check out his channel. Btw nice camera you got there 😉
Yes, but given the fact that it's an APS-C camera, there are cheaper options for that sensor format. Furthermore, the image will look like a 22mm because of the crop factor, so not ultrawide.
I thought this was for APS-C and I was about to lose my mind at the price

Bought it immediately when they’re announced. Really sharp lens for the price.
It’s APSC equivalent competition would be the laowa or nisi 9mm f2.8.
Surprisingly good and strangely tempting

F2.8 or f1.8 would be awesome
No more APS-C content?😢 I just bought a A6600
He does both, there’s just not many new lenses or camera bodies to review right now.

Can I use this lens with my zv E10 camera?

I got a Samyang 12mm/F2, Rokinon in USA, i think you got it too, greetings Arthur.
TTArtisan fisheye is more appealing to me
Pergear 14mm f2.8....... that too at $299..... Could be a better choice..... It has 82mm filter thread too
The Pergear is optically weaker. Still, it is a good option.
