Sm is terrible with management lately but Exo is still doing great for lack of promotion and content and members going off to the army the fandom is very loyal and they have a lot of love look at Baekhyun solo album ❤️
sm has been terrible managing exo for years now, not just lately. they've only been doing so well because of their said loyal fandom that somehow keeps growing without decent promos and content

Since you mentioned these 2 groups.. If SM was just really serious about promoting these 2 groups, they could really go global for sure. These groups are already all round and promoting is just the additional spice for that. They can even go for world tour especially GG. SM is just really crap when it comes to promoting. But I remember when Taeyeon said that she doesn't want to go anywhere especially in US because of racism.

Kimberly Nicole - They take huge hiatus period to comeback, first time it happened was during their rookies years, like they debuted in 8th April of 2012, but their first comeback was in June of 2013, 14 months after their debut. It’s not common to happen in rookies groups, usually rookies groups do two or three comebacks in a year. EXO had another long hiatus later in their career, 16 months. In general EXO had three over-than-year-hiatus in their career. And when they do comeback, it’s for only one or two weeks of promotions in music shows, they barely go to radio interviews, variety shows, or any kind of promotions. They just make long tours, they tour for months non stop.

I'm an exo L for 5 years until now. We eggs are really lazy when it comes to streaming and voting (i guess?) But we make sure every MV will pass 100m and that's enough for us, we're not like other fandoms whose only basing their idols talent by views. We are not like that. Hundred million is enough. Because we don't actually base our idols 'exo' by views. We don't care about the fame. Exo receives awards. They can stand on being legendary nn their own unique way even without a global promotions, from west etc. They can won awards or be nominated on award shows without having a comeback. They are setting records not only as a group but as a solo artist too. Baekhyun, D.o, Kai, Suho, Sehun, chanyeol, and lay in china. For me they are still kpop's power house, without exo kpop is boring. Maybe they are not as famous as they were before... but you can't change the fact that this boygroup still have a big impact even from the beginning of their career until now. (Sorry for my bad english)

Exo lost 3 members, 1 member is in china, 2 members are in military, but still powerful, their last comeback dont mess up my tempo sold 2M copies with no promotion, baekhyun sold 400, 000 copies after 15 yrs of drought. Lay sold 1.87 million copies in 4 minutes. EXO Officially Becomes Quintuple Million Sellers + Makes History With 10 Million Albums In Total Sales Plus, their comeback of love shot s a big hit and still is. Even with lack of promotion. Plus, they never promoted in us. Imagine that. 7 years and still slaying. Thats how powerful exo is.

I am still bitter about how Kris left just 8 days before EXO first concert.Same with Luhan who claim to have problem with his leg, somehow manage to release dance MV and shoot for 4 session of Keep Running. I don't hate them, but I find it hard to support them the same again. 😪
I know right imo they are still a relavant group but Unfortunately recently two members have enlist and i dont really think they are gonna make a comeback with 6 members... (sm's management is really bad)

We all remember when they were called "sm first flops" until Growl happened. In 2011, they were already one of 20 most hated groups in kpop without having debuted yet. Even their first win was called "not deserving". I’m so glad they gained success and are continuing to have momentum in this industry after 7 freaking years even after members leaving by lawsuits, sm’s continuous shitty management

And also people had this misconception that a group that is heavily hyped and teased would surely flop. When they debuted, MAMA had mixed reactions w/ the superpower concept and when Wolf came out it also got mixed reviews because it wasn’t a public-friendly type of song but still won on music shows

Some fans of other SM artists didn’t like how SM was literally splurging on their debut and there were people who just simply became impatient with their debut. I still remember me and other fellow EXO stans at that time laughing at the impatient people because we all knew they were gonna come back to stanning at one point.
Honestly I’ve seen a lot of people saying that they hated the debut song. Mama is literally the song that gave me so much emotion and got me into EXO...it kinda hurts to see a song so important to me being hated to majority of people I see

Physical does have nothing with quality of side track mostly their fans buy it just for photocard and collection but they never pop it in CD player lol this is what l seen from my exo-l friend. Just look none of baekhyun song in that album was a hit and populer and only 1 song has it's MV lol. Exo strength is visual their music is not appealing in general public
I don't even stan EXO but their story makes me sad every time... They have a lot of talent and they're all amazing artists, but SM did a terrible job promoting them and treated them like sh*t to the point that 3 of their members left with lawsuits against the company. They still managed to be one of the biggest kpop groups ever, just imagine how big they would've been with a decent company that treated them the way they deserved
That's part of the reason I respect the members so much! Despite the poor management and awful treatment, they stuck with it and worked incredibly hard to get where they are. Their talents deserve so much respect and recognition, and I literally want to cry when I see negative comments directed at the group from people who don't know anything They're just really great guys and I love them so much

Good video, but I feel like there are some points you missed. - EXO wasn't struggling, but Growl is when the group really shot up there with it being their first legitimate hit song in Korea. Mama and Wolf had really mixed reactions. - Also, I think you should have mentioned THAAD as it is the reason Koreans no longer promote in China so EXO's concept doesn't really work anymore. Also, it is why Lay hasn't promoted with the group since 2016. All the comebacks since Kokobop have been without him. - EXO could have had more potential, but SM initially focused on only Korea and China. This definitely fell through with China limiting Korean content. And other than a few concerts, SM never promoted them in the west.
Libby hi, THAAD is a missile detection system that used heat patterns i think. So like what you see in those movies when a missile is coming to an area this will detect and stop it by uhm i’m not sure what haha. But yeah. It is a US supported project on Korean soil. China is putting pressure on Korea to disassemble it stating that it could be used to breach China’s national security because of its proximity. I don’t know how much basis China has about thinking that though. But the issue has affected EXO a lot. For example Sehun actually has like 2 movies filmed as China-Kora projects and none of them have seen the light of day. And then there’s Lay too that we all know about huhu

@@libby910 THAAD means Terminal High Altitude Area Defense. S.Korea allowed America to build a THAAD missile terminal on their territory. And China hated this and banned everything that had anything to do with Korea in their country. And this affected EXO the most. Other Chinese idols who debut in Korea weren't much recognized in China, so that was no problem. But Lay is Hunan communist youth league ambassador in China. The Chinese want Lay to support and be loyal to China. So he can't promote in Korea together with EXO.
I never liked kpop and was never really open about it but when I heard Love Shot and kept listening to it, I got addicted. I studied their members and discography and I am now an EXO-L. EXO will forever be my biggest idol.

Exo was promoting in china and Korea, but their songs caught attention worldwide during Call Me Baby and other songs. They were an existing group that was getting attention for their already existing song. SuperM was a group that was made to target the western audience, but Jopping didn't do it to the capacity Exo's other songs did. SuperM did well, but probably not as well as SM wanted them to do. Also in 2019, there were a lot more kpop groups promoting in the west compared to 2015 when there were very few, so Exo would've entered the worldwide industry with more intrigue to them.

Man.. they are the best vocal group KPop ever had. Chen is a world class singer, Baekhyun is one of the most powerful voices ever in kpop, and despite that, people consider D.O as the best pitched voice and the one who fits most EXO songs the best. Then there is LuHan, who left but was considered the 4th main vocal, and Suho, who has the most angelic (or opera) voice, and let me mention Chanyeol too who has a rockstarish voice-check out his cover of Creep.
Exo's popularity is an achievement considering the lack of promotion and lack of communication with the wider audiences. Somehow the're doing great. I am a new k pop fan I was introduced during all this bts and blackpink hysteria here in the West but somehow exo and big bang are those that make me stay and trully appreciate them as artists and pros.

True. Exo are barely promoted by SM, compared to any other groups out there. I mean, they barely appear on variety shows and in 7 years of them being in the industry, they only have 2 reality shows. I remember, SM rejected a lot of offers for collaboration from other artist, and not just K-Pop artist.

EXO got the biggest anti fan club over all kpop idols they got to face hate the most even before debut and the fact they're still going so strong makes me proud of them. They came so far and I'll always be with them.

When TxT debuted, people expected them to be good, and their debut song was. If it was bad, and people didn't like it then TxT wouldn't even have a core fanbase because debut songs are meant to pull fans in. It's about opinion, if you liked one of exo's songs then you would listen to another and everyone loves jumping on bandwagon hate, true or not. So whether you want to admit it or not, people hated exo when they debuted. They said they were SM's biggest mistake. It's been five years since I got into EXO. I love them so much and I disagree with the idea that they are losing popularity (I mean Obession sold 800k albums with only 6 members!!!! and if they had a repackaged album, they would have become another million-seller easily). I think they just hit a plateau, that's all. Buttttt tbh( and let's not kid ourselves), their golden years were in 2013-2016 when they were basically untouchable in basically everything. But all good things eventually come to an end( though not yet for EXO). It's a cycle that always happens and it will eventually happen to every famous group rn. EXO can't be #1 forever, unfortunately :((((( . However, I will say that they have already established themselves as LEGENDS and artists of the kpop community. The members themselves have also said they have won enough awards and daesangs( though they still deserve our insurmountable support). They have pretty much won every award and soooo many wins. They have already branched out in their solo careers in which they are doing amazing!!! The members are also going to the military already. Stanning them has been one of the best decisions I have ever made and their journey together has been amazing. So when the day comes, I wish all of them the best and I will always be an EXO-L💕 and I hope every EXO-L who reads them continues to love them as well :)))
I mean, it's really great that EXO is one of the most succesful artists out there. I remember when everyone was like REALLY crazy about them, and i stan them since the debut so it was so emotional see the grow, their songs, their concerts. For me, EXO is one of the groups that i consider HELLA talented, and their discography is art.
Their discography is a masterpiece, I pity people who sleep on them. Seriously when they release an album, I just take a breath and say "Finally I don't need to search for new music at least a few weeks"

It’s not common to happen in rookies groups, usually rookies groups do two or three comebacks in a year. EXO had another long hiatus later in their career, 16 months. In general EXO had three over-than-year-hiatus in their career. And when they do comeback, it’s for only one or two weeks of promotions in music shows, they barely go to radio interviews, variety shows, or any kind of promotions. They just make long tours, they tour for months non stop.

But we make sure every MV will pass 100m and that's enough for us, we're not like other fandoms whose only basing their idols talent by views. We are not like that. Hundred million is enough. Because we don't actually base our idols 'exo' by views. We don't care about the fame. Exo receives awards. They can stand on being legendary nn their own unique way even without a global promotions, from west etc. They can won awards or be nominated on award shows without having a comeback. They are setting records not only as a group but as a solo artist too. Baekhyun, D.o, Kai, Suho, Sehun, chanyeol, and lay in china. For me they are still kpop's power house, without exo kpop is boring. Maybe they are not as famous as they were before... but you can't change the fact that this boygroup still have a big impact even from the beginning of their career until now.

We all remember when they were called "sm first flops" until Growl happened. In 2011, they were already one of 20 most hated groups in kpop without having debuted yet. Even their first win was called "not deserving". Good video, but I feel like there are some points you missed.
- EXO wasn't struggling, but Growl is when the group really shot up there with it being their first legitimate hit song in Korea. Mama and Wolf had really mixed reactions.
- Also, I think you should have mentioned THAAD as it is the reason Koreans no longer promote in China so EXO's concept doesn't really work anymore. Also, it is why Lay hasn't promoted with the group since 2016. All the comebacks since Kokobop have been without him.
- EXO could have had more potential, but SM initially focused on only Korea and China. This definitely fell through with China limiting Korean content. And other than a few concerts, SM never promoted them in the west.

Exo was promoting in china and Korea, but their songs caught attention worldwide during Call Me Baby and other songs. They were an existing group that was getting attention for their already existing song. SuperM was a group that was made to target the western audience, but Jopping didn't do it to the capacity Exo's other songs did. SuperM did well, but probably not as well as SM wanted them to do. Also in 2019, there were a lot more kpop groups promoting in the west compared to 2015 when there were very few, so Exo would've entered the worldwide industry with more intrigue to them.

Chen is a world class singer, Baekhyun is one of the most powerful voices ever in kpop, and despite that, people consider D.O as the best pitched voice and the one who fits most EXO songs the best. Then there is LuHan, who left but was considered the 4th main vocal, and Suho, who has the most angelic (or opera) voice, and let me mention Chanyeol too who has a rockstarish voice-check out his cover of Creep.

It's been five years since I got into EXO. I love them so much and I disagree with the idea that they are losing popularity (I mean Obession sold 800k albums with only 6 members!!!! and if they had a repackaged album, they would have become another million-seller easily). I think they just hit a plateau, that's all.
Buttttt tbh( and let's not kid ourselves), their golden years were in 2013-2016 when they were basically untouchable in basically everything. But all good things eventually come to an end( though not yet for EXO). It's a cycle that always happens and it will eventually happen to every famous group rn. EXO can't be #1 forever, unfortunately :((((( . However, I will say that they have already established themselves as LEGENDS and artists of the kpop community. The members themselves have also said they have won enough awards and daesangs( though they still deserve our insurmountable support). They have pretty much won every award and soooo many wins.
They have already branched out in their solo careers in which they are doing amazing!!! The members are also going to the military already. Stanning them has been one of the best decisions I have ever made and their journey together has been amazing. So when the day comes, I wish all of them the best and I will always be an EXO-L💕 and I hope every EXO-L who reads them continues to love them as well :)))
I mean, it's really great that EXO is one of the most succesful artists out there. I remember when everyone was like REALLY crazy about them, and i stan them since the debut so it was so emotional see the grow, their songs, their concerts. For me, EXO is one of the groups that i consider HELLA talented, and their discography is art.
Their discography is a masterpiece, I pity people who sleep on them. Seriously when they release an album, I just take a breath and say "Finally I don't need to search for new music at least a few weeks"
The last seconds of the vid gave me goosebumps how each one of them is venturing in different fields but at the end they still stick together. We are one forever said the greatest group ever.
EXO may not be #1 anymore but just the fact that they’ve been in the kpop industry for seven years and is still one of the most popular groups shows the long way EXO has gone and how successful they are. They prove that with their live performances and abilities of the members to compose songs that make it into their albums. Exo was the group who got me into Kpop and although I like other groups they’re still my number 1 along with SHINee.
