One of my favorite ink brands. My first ink was Sheaffer Skrip blue-black, and I used Sheaffer Skrip Brown, this iteration, (it changed over the years. Look at Noodler's V Mail brown ink, and picture it even more looking like changing a diaper after the first time you'd fed a little kid green beans or spinach. Seriously) for lettering the names on the graduation diplomas of my very small parochial school, the year I graduated.
Gave me a soft spot for this particular ink, and probably is what encouraged my liking of brown inks.
Sadly, this is currently not made. The current owner of Sheaffer has only produced blue, black and blue-black currently. Time to get a write in campaign going (I generally like the Sheaffer-Eaton era and more modern inks. They are just good, well behaved inks. Some, there's more interesting colors, but they were the only one that made a truly RED ink (fire engine red, not leaning pink or orange. Exactly BIC red (though the Sheaffer is older, so they came up with it. 😉) Time to get other colors back.
Thanks for showcasing a personal favorite ink!
