The way you do your wash n go is the same way I do mine! We have very, very similar hair. One thing I do different from you is, I put a shower cap on for like 10-15mins when I’m done. I mainly started doing it so I could get dressed without getting product and water all over my clothes but over time I realized it helped my curls to clump even more!

Yes I do the same! The cap makes a difference. I started doing it for same reason 😂 and now it's a must.
I'm definitely wearing my washing And gos on vacation. Every body on the plane has braids and locs.

OMG!! I needed this video!! I just took my braids out and was originally going to get a silk press today, and my hair dresser is SICK!! So we had to cancel, and now here I am needing a good wash day routine and I found this gem! I know I can count on you to give a good new wash day technique/tip! I skipped the leave- in on my last wash and I must say, not bad. I did larger sections but more I see that smaller sections will be better for me. Great video!
I’ve been doing my hair this year since last. March/April and I definitely cannot see myself going back especially with oils on my hair. I only use oil for my body. Gel & mousse for wash and gos and foams for my twist outs!!
One of my new favorite combos is kinky curly custard with I create hold on top. Gives great hold. I'm going to have to try the dippity do.

Great wash & go routine! I need to use smaller sections when applying my hair products. I usually get volume and my hair is frizzy after day 3.

I don’t use leave-in either. I’m using Uncle Funky’s Curly Magic and Innersense I Create Hold. I get great long-lasting results.

with it at this length, I just go to sleep with it out on a satin pillow case! I do have other videos that share what i’ve done at night when it’s longer - search my channel for “a week with my hair” 💕

can anyone let me know whether to use cold water or warm/hot water? i always get told different things and I just want to finalize an answer for this. anyways besides that, I want to try most or all of these products and I hope it works. I'm not 100% sure what my hair type is but I think I might be leaning towards 3c/4a. when I pick out my hair its a complete afro, and ofc I have curls, my hair is just super unhealthy, frizzy, and dry and I've been trying for so long on how to figure out what it needs but nothing seems to work. if i could name my #1 insecurity, it would b my hair.

Omg I’ve never heard anyone ever detangle their hair with shampoo??? Am i new to this? I feel like my hair gets way too tangled and is too low porosity to do that. Just me??
Try it out, I use to think the same thing. As long as you’ve got the right shampoo and use a good amount of water you’ll be fine. Start by raking it down with your fingers instead of using a brush
It changed the game for me. The Ouai detox shampoo makes it sooo easy to detangle but I usually use my fingers. Another good shampoo for detangling is the bondi boost curl boss shampoo

Probably because you let you hair dry out and tangle. Waiting last minute to do your hair only extends your wash day.

Okay so I keep hearing about the possibility of the hair getting damaged from air drying. I think my wash and goes look the best when I air dry but now I’m afraid to do it. Any thoughts? Thanks 💕
air drying will always be the best and safest way don’t worry 😁
Well, you have a point about hair being possibly damaged by air drying. this is bc letting your hair sit wet for multiple hours, you could possibly get hydral fatuige, aka hair being overly moisturized by staying wet for too long. However, you can totally still airdry; just take A BIT of water out first by micro plopping (gently scrunching in sections) or plopping (wrapping your curls gently in a towel, Manes by Mel has a great vid on this) with a microfiber towel, then air dry till totally dry.

Hi I am a bit confused. I thought you no longer use oils in your hair. What happened to only using gels? Is it me as I noticed that influencers who stick to the no oils or no butter method their hair tends to look very dry.
