In the 70's it was common for all of us Rockers to loudly proclaim "Disco Sucks" (it was even available on t-shirts).
But, looking back, there was some AWESOME Disco goin' on. And this tune is amongst the absolute best, as is most of the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack.

I think *every* musical genre ends up going through a "___ sucks" phase sooner or later. :-) From what I remember, Disco entered that phase when the genre got oversaturated with too many second- and third-rate acts trying to jump on the bandwagon, and people just got burned out on it.

Our grandparents, parents and some of my contemporaries, music was to dance with; sound tracks to lives. Advice from an oldie, always dance with your wife.

First time I heard this song was in Short Circuit ... it was because of this and "you should be dancin' " that I had a respect for Disco and the Bee Gees even though I was born in 86'

I can't hear this song without hearing my dad singing while driving and changing the lyrics up to entertain the three of us kids (8 and 9 years old). "Baldheaded woman..." Cracked us up every time.

I remember back in the 70s that movie theaters, walk in played a double feature. Saturday Night Fever and Grease. Stayed all day watching them over and over again. So cool. Decade of the 70s has always remain so close to my soul. Rock on brother Jamal ✊🏾

Yes ♥️ my favorite Bee Gees song & then To love somebody. To live somebody was supposed to be done by Otis Redding but he was tragically killed & then The Bee Gees did it.

Back in the late 70's I'd go to the Disco, then to a Rock club, then back to the Disco, then back to a Rock club... all in the same night. Loved every second of it.
