Mercedes GL hands down but if it was the Escalade vs the GL I would have to go with Escalade. Surprisingly the GL450 costs way less than a fully loaded Tahoe. The only advantage the Tahoe has over the GL is 1,000 Pounds more in Towing capabilities but other than that the GL is certainly a better car over the Tahoe and you're making more of a statement when you buy a Mercedes over a Tahoe. I think the Tahoe needs to cost way less personally to me this Tahoe is worth more like $50,000-55,000 than like almost $70,000
Does it still have a cd player? You would expect actual temp zones for driver and passenger. Starting price on these is hard to swallow. No touch screen?
The starting price of the Escalade increases almost $8,000 over the outgoing model resulting in a hefty $72,690 plus destination charge for the 2015 model
I still prefer A 2000-2006 Tahoe 5.3 vortec v8, it sounds better, looks BETTER, and it certainly looks more powerful, this new Tahoe looks like something a soccer mom would drive
it annoys me that gm still has the gear shifter on the steering wheel even the modern mini vans of today have a gear shifter some where else beside on the steering wheels.... GM is stuck in the 70s with these big ole gas guzzler trucks i rather a lincoln or something else and $70k for this gas guzzler contraption i rather ill pass i perfer the Cadillac over gmc and chevy...
We just bought a 2017 escalade 2 months and a 2017 Tahoe last week so, Yeah the Escalade is nicer with more features but I like the Tahoe, also they are not gas guzzlers. They sip gas compared to our old 2011 Escalade and 2013 Tahoe.
Good old American marketing, tell you it's the greatest since sliced bread for a expensive but fair price but in reality it only appears that way at 1st glance but is in fact mediocre. It's all about maximizing profit. A real $70,000 vehicle would have real state of the art quality and design and comfort features not generic looks ok and seems new but is just a refresh of what's been around for years. There is just nothing groundbreaking to warrant the price. I mean even this motor reved up sounded like a old coarse 6 cylinder. Yet people get fooled and shell out money due to the hype and their ignorance. Sorry but it's sad and true. Not a bad vehicle just not at that price. It's a chicken parm dinner for $80 that taste like the same dish somewhere else for $12. The pure definition of insanity...
IT LOOKS SO CHEAP MADE FOR A 70k S U V. OLDER MODELS LOOK MORE TUFF AND STAND OUT WAY BETTER THIS NEW STYLE LOOKS LIKE AN OLD VERSION OF A FORD EXPEDITION
The 2015 SUCKS, I have a 2013 LTZ and test drove the 2015, I felt like i was driving an old pathfinder, when I got back in my 2013 is flew, I found out why! Its really a V4 unless you are towing a boat or something heavy, thing drives like crap! "cylinder deactivation, giving their V-8 engine the ability to drop to four-cylinder status under a light load. Both engines slip in and out of four-cylinder mode with no indication beyond the readout in the instrument panel. "
cameron boyd What? It looks better than the old one. It looks more modern. The old one look nice, but when you put them side to side. It looks so outdated!
MUCH better than the previous generation!
Yes it is!
I think that previous generation have more beautiful exterior
man pretty awesome tahoe
Great styling. And Chevy's are known for their rock-solid dependability. It's still the best SUV on the market, along with the longer Chevy Suburban.
I LOVE it!
Been waiting too long for next gen tahoe/suburban startup. Thanks for great review!!
I so want it its so pretty
These are going to sell well
Hopefully!
It looks nice yes, but 70K??? Damn that's a high price but people will find a way to buy these. Very Nicely done GM. Love the look of these
cameron, which one best ? fully loaded tahoe or a mercedes gl450 ?
Mercedes GL hands down but if it was the Escalade vs the GL I would have to go with Escalade. Surprisingly the GL450 costs way less than a fully loaded Tahoe. thanks.. by the way the new escalade taillight looks weird
Believe it or not the 2nd generation Toyota Highlander has a tad bit more cargo space at 94.8 cubit ft of cargo
Very nice
There is smart key on all doors!
2015 Tahoe is awesome. Anyone in the Boston area interested in test driving.....we have then at MIRAK Chevrolet
Does it still have a cd player? You would expect actual temp zones for driver and passenger. Starting price on these is hard to swallow. No touch screen?
Perfect example, at 10:57 it says 82° on the digital dial for the passenger temperature selection.
Pretty good review there buddy, when are you going to come in and do a review on the new Chevy SS? We also have a Stingray Convertible to look at too!
I want it.
Work for it slave
Chevy does have LED tail lights for the Tahoe . There just option 😩
The Vortec V8 sounds like a little hybrid
Does anyone know if the new Tahoe comes with AFS?
I like to see 8 speed or 10 speed trans then Im a buyer
Could you do a review on a 2015 gmc Yukon ?
Yup!
i wonder how much the escalade would cost. the 70k tahoe with all the options makes the escalade kinda pointless
The starting price of the Escalade increases almost $8,000 over the outgoing model resulting in a hefty $72,690 plus destination charge for the 2015 model
Good morning, how much cost? , thanks.
The big problem is the bumper close to the ground
Rear lights are led
Uh, you meant tail lights and not rear lights.
👑❤👑👌
No CD Player?!?!
There is a CD player, if you look below the infotainment and volume controls, there is a CD player.
I'd rather get the escalade even though it's more money.
The new Durango is more "Handsome". Lol. And I'm not a Dodge fan!
Just got this but the Z71 version. I'm getting a combined 14mpg... is anyone else getting this POOR gas mileage???!!!
...2014 Tahoe looked like a TAHOE...This looks like a Funeral Car.....LoL......;-),,,
I still prefer A 2000-2006 Tahoe 5.3 vortec v8, it sounds better, looks BETTER, and it certainly looks more powerful, this new Tahoe looks like something a soccer mom would drive

Good review!
But I think this truck is way over priced. $70k? That's ridiculous!!!!
Call me crazy but I think my 2004 tahoe looks waaay better than this 2015.
I agree my 5.3 v8 2004 can do twices better then this soccer mom car
Base $50,000 premium $70,000!!!! Naaa I'll pass. I can find way more nicer vehicles for that price.
all the features that bring vehicles "with the times" i see as useless crap to break and more to go wrong what happened to basic fucking vehicles?
This isn't 1997, dumbass. Why don't you get a 90's car if you hate new cars so much?

Don't like the front
Why? It's bold and aggressive especially with the chrome grille.
+Matthew's Car Corner I just don't care for it
+Matthew's Car Corner I think it's the lights
IT LOOKS SO CHEAP MADE FOR A 70k S U V. OLDER MODELS LOOK MORE TUFF AND STAND OUT WAY BETTER THIS NEW STYLE LOOKS LIKE AN OLD VERSION OF A FORD EXPEDITION
Pablo Carrillo nooooo. This looks best.
what this guy saw in this vehicle more aerodynamic? still American crap, cheap plastic everywhere..
The 2015 SUCKS, I have a 2013 LTZ and test drove the 2015, I felt like i was driving an old pathfinder, when I got back in my 2013 is flew, I found out why! Thomas Trettien FYI you can turn off cylinder deactivation
Why they still have that ugly way to change gear
Go american or go home.
nope its not id rather keep it that way and have more space then getting the gear like other vehicles
For that price tag, I'd rather save some more and drive out in a Range or Merc.
it just looks ugly on the outside... the old look is so much better
old and new look soo sexy it dont matter
