Love these. 1) You have a lot more patience than I do. 2) That looks like it would be exhausting on your thumb muscles. and 3) I can't imagine how long it takes you to edit videos like this. 50 minute recording, edited down to 17 minutes. I feel your pain.
You gotta remember though, his hands have so much more stamina and control than an average person, because he's always practicing slights and cardistry
Chris, you inspired me to buy a puzzle. I bought this one. (After I eventually opened it, I set it aside until the next day and put it back together.) Took me almost 2 hours total. But I have done it many times since and can't wait to get my next puzzle! Thank you for the inspiration and the cool-ass vids!! PazPeacePaix
I actually finished this puzzle the other day after about 2-3 weeks of on and off playing with it. Funny thing is, I accidentally took it apart without any idea how I did it, then I put it back together with the two half circle pieces backwards. This one being my first actual puzzle, and having worked on it for so long, it was very rewarding to actually figure out. Then, I immediately went out and bought another Hanayama, and I am completely stumped.
Travis Pisani the two half cylinder pieces that you need to pull out of the rings. One of them says “Padlock” on one side and nothing on the other, the other piece has a lock symbol on one side and “Hanayama” on the other. Normally “Padlock” and the symbol are on the same side. Putting it back together I accidentally put “Padlock” and “Hanayama” on the same side.
Finally, I get to see you solve a puzzle I have already done. This puzzle took me about two hours to do and it was a pain. But it was definitely fun to solve. I'm just glad to finally watch someone else solve it.
Hey btw did you know how to put it back together cause mine just fell apart and I didn't know how it got disassembled and I was left clueless on how to put it back together lol
Can someone pass this message to Chris: " *Jojo Asmr* is using his content as thumbnail" That guy Also uses thumbnails from other card magic creators. Been doing this more then year now.
this was one of my firsts puzzles i did by Hanayama and my only puzzle i have done and it take my 3 hours and 30 minutes to, get it solved and put back together again and love all of your uploads Chris !!
I got this one for Xmas(22), I was playing on and off all afternoon with breaks for dinner and family stuff, finally solved it late in the evening, then spent a couple of hours that night and couple of hours today trying to figure out how to assemble it again, gave up and watched you solve it, the final sliding apart gave me the info I needed to assemble it!
Hey Chris! I am 43 and You got me into puzzles so hard core! I have been subscribed about a month and I love cards and puzzles! This was a puzzle I just finished about a week ago over the course of 3 days! Lol you are the MASTER with your less than 1 hour time! It was so cool to see you make all the same discoveries I remembered but at mock speed. Your mind is an enigma I think. Thanks for the videos I love them so much! Sorry this was so long...and now even longer...
Hanayama seems to be the best puzzles for the best price with great quality. Seem to really give challenges and $12 instead of the $1000+ dollar ones that you just hit on the table he's been buying says a lot. Full on respect for that company
Ooft thats the first time ive watched ome of your puzzles and actually felt frustration just thinking of possible ways ha ha Keep em coming fella! Great work across all your content!
You know what I love about your puzzle solvers, after all the pain of failing to find it, the music stops... It's the most exciting moment of these videos, because satisfaction is just about to happen. Especially with the metal puzzles for some reason, the Hanayama one's are the best.
What he didn't show is each of the long pieces has a track with a little weighted push pin in it. They are on opposite sides (one facing up one facing down) so just keeping it on one side will not release. You have to jiggle with it on its side to get past the track on both sides for it to release
took me a good few hours but ive mastered it. its 4 steps. 1 both openings on the outside. 2 both openings on the inside. 3, 1 opening on the face side and closed on the back. 4 switch it so the front face has the close and the back has the opening, that is how it becomes unlockable. I can go into how to do those moves but I really cant be fucked to right it. git gud
I love watching puzzles I've already completed and basically cheering for you to find the right moves or knowing the frustration of it resetting after putting in a lot of effort.
After watching so many of your videos I wanted to do one for myself so I bought this hanayama, but as I was waiting for it to arrive you did a video on it. I didn’t watch it and waited for it to arrive. Took me a fair while to undo it but I got there in the end!! Thank you so much for bringing these to light for me!! Waiting on my next hanayama to come through the mail :D
I just about a week ago solved this one. I loved how deceptive it is. It seemed so insanely simple, but it took me a couple days on and off of fiddling with it to make any progress at all, then once I got one step in, it came all apart pretty quickly
Bought this puzzle like 6 months ago. Took me many hours and a couple days to solve it. Also took me 2 repeats to understand the mechanics, I know your frustration! Kudos for doing it in under an hour.
I love/hate those edits when the music drops, like you're about to reach a milestone in the puzzle process, only to mess up and/or go back to the beginning. Gets me every time.
I played along on my puzzle for this one, I put about an hour into it before I pulled up your video and I solved it moments before you discovered the solution! Excellent puzzle!
this is the first puzzle i bought from puzzle master ^^ you've really inspired me to get into puzzles. and I still can't solving after watching your video like a year later
Wow! Congrats on the solve. I spent a couple days on this puzzle, set it aside, came back to it a couple months later. It can be hard to get the pieces lined up correctly, so even moves you've already made can be difficult to replicate. In a moment of weakness and frustration, I had to look up a hint. Anywho, love your videos! Keep up the great content.
at 14:15: Time is 12:20, Stopwatch is 43m for 15 video seconds, Time is not distinguishable, focus is blurring it, Stopwatch kept advancing somewhat linearly at 14:30: Time is 12:29, Stopwatch is 45m Time advanced almost 10 minutes, stopwatch advanced almost 2 minutes ;)
This one is awesome! They started selling some of these at Walmart and I needed to get this Padlock. Took me about an hour to take apart and another 30 minutes to put it back together. Was extremely challenging as my first puzzle but well worth the $10 I spent! Glad you were able to do a review of it!
This pad lock was the first puzzle I bought after watching your videos.......it made me want to insert my fist into the closest wall...but i stayed clam like you do in your videos and kept at it. One week later after countless hours of tinkering this thing came apart. What made me understand this puzzle a lot more was putting it back together. Being the first Hanayama I've ever completed....jumped in to this life head first with how difficult it was. Anyways thanks for turning me on to the puzzle life, I have my first puzzle boxes from puzzle masters on the way. Excited to see my patients tested again.
So after getting into your channel, I bought this puzzle about a month ago. Took me about 3 hrs of fiddling to get it done. Really interesting watching you struggle as I did, I was willing you to make the right moves! Great content as always
I have this puzzle padlock and I must admit that you need to have a lot of patient for it. It tooks me around a week playing around at work and in communication to finally understand how it's works. Now it's quite relaxing to it in meantime of watching a movie or something. After you understand the machanism and remember all the steps I can open it under a minute not even looking at it haha
i had this puzzle for like 3 weeks now. i've been working on it and i went through the video (didnt see how to solve it) and saw that we both did pretty much the same thing. i like watching these because it makes me want to get more and solve them. so far i have 5 of them and gave up on one.
I cannot believe that you solved it in 45 minutes. I bought this puzzle about a yea ago and I was struggling for days, but not whole time, I tried for 10 minutes, then gave up and came back few hours later... Now I know all positions, I can disassemble it in not more than 10 seconds... It is great when you understand how it works.
It's ridiculous how much I enjoy the metal sounds, that's the only fun I'd have out of this because any serious attempt to solve it would result in me setting it on fire.
Hey Chris, Found your channel just cruising through UA-cam. Love the puzzles man. Got me hooked and this lock puzzle was the first one I went out and bought. Had a bunch of fun solving it! Bought my brother a puzzle as well and plan to continue to grow my collection of puzzles as well.
Your puzzle videos inspired me to buy 9 Hanayama puzzles. I've solved all but 1 at this point. All I have left is the egg puzzle called l'ouef. Nice work and thanks for the inspiration.
I love you. I love your personality and everything about your channel! Plus I love the editing and all the little extra animations you add. Keep it up!!
Cool to see you doing this one! I bought and finished this one as well about a month ago and it took me about a week and a half of on and off playing to figure it out. Cool to see how long it stumped you as well.
Had to stop watching your puzzle videos before I solve the puzzles myself so I don't get any spoilers. Took me 2 days tinkering between household chores but managed to open it. Such a satisfying feeling when it aligns :D
I’ve been watching his videos for a while now and am JUST NOW noticing that he has the unforgivable curses from Harry Potter tattooed on three of his fingers on his left hand. That makes me so happy, that’s so cool.
Okay Chris, I just watched it! I solved it a different way! I used the keyhole piece, aligned the two slots and lifted the keyhole over one of the spigots and it slid out! Your way was way more slick but it shows hanayama puzzles could be solved in different ways although they are precisely made?
Chris! I just got this puzzle like 5 days ago and was going to send you mine! That’s crazy you did this video right after I solved it! Just had to let you know you blew my mind again
Uploaded on my birthday! And my favorite videos by you are the puzzle ones. Just turned 20 🎉glad I got onto UA-cam today.😊 I'm excited to watch this ❤️
Just finished this one today and so far, it's my favorite one out of the few I have(U&U, News, Nutcase and padlock). Now moving onto Nutcase. If anyone is interested in these start with the horseshoe think it's a 2, go to U&U and then Padlock. News is rated as a level 6 but I found it to be easier than the level 4 U & U. Love your videos buddy. Keep it up.
Yay! My “Chris Ramsay solves a puzzle” fix for the week! I was getting a little nervous as it as getting toward the end of the video and you still hadn’t solved it ~ but ~ you prevailed! 😊🇨🇦

Man Chris I picked up the padlock about a month ago and spent three hours fidgeting with it until it fell apart in my hands. I had no clue how it came apart and no idea of how to get it back together.😂 Once I finally understood it I really appreciated the puzzle. So I loved watching you get the same amount of frustration and satisfaction from it!👍🏻
Chris Ramsay I bought that same puzzle at Wal-Mart for $10and I'll tell you what it was a pain in my rear-ended lol I just started to buy puzzles and try solving them and to be honest you are the reason and inspiration to me cause I'm gonna start buying and solving as many as possible now your an ideal too me thank you very much for your awesome videos
I had this puzzle 15 years ago...solved it in ten minutes and got to a Point with it where it was too easy/boring for me so i threw it away. Now watching this vid makes me wanna go out and buy a new copy to see if it stumps me as long as it did you
This video showed me that the chrome gaps side could be changed which really helped me out. 5 other videos didn't show it. I've now managed to get it set to factory reset to try solve still 😂
yo chris, your channel reminded me of all the wooden puzzles i never finished as a kid. do you have any personal rec's for tactile puzzles that you found enjoyable? harder the better
Oh! I looked for this a while back to see if you had done it. I picked it up at the same time as the ‘nut case’ puzzle and I definitely found this one harder. I played with it for a few minutes at a time over about 2 weeks before I was able to finally crack this one...
There’s a game series called the room and it is a great puzzle game and you might enjoy it. Maybe you can do a playthrough of that. I know this is not a gaming channel but it’s a game with puzzles and it fits your content
One of my absolute favorite puzzles ever. Definitely not an easy one, but certainly not the hardest(probably Enigma honestly) as far as hanayamas are concerned.
I bought this puzzle this week took me about an hour to solve it but the first try was just a happy accident. One more hour to put it back together. Than one more to solve it purposely. Its a great piece of art and i really like it.
Instrumental: stops
Tension: *intensifies*
Even better yet, it happened as I was reading your comment!
Love these. 1) You have a lot more patience than I do. 2) That looks like it would be exhausting on your thumb muscles. and 3) I can't imagine how long it takes you to edit videos like this. 50 minute recording, edited down to 17 minutes. I feel your pain.

piratefetishmachine jones I'd like to start with this one too but can't find it.
@@Ezeckiel2517 I bought mine at a Barnes and Noble bookstore.
Sebastien Veilleux I got it on Amazon. They have every puzzle from hamayana
Still waiting for you to solve tht excalibur puzzle
Haha so is he
I don't think he ever will. There are over 100 moves that have a strict order to them. If you mess up the order by one move you have to start over.
Mr. Puzzle has done it
i've seen about 126 or 127 moves to solve it. very hard. i want CR to give it another go!
I’ve been waiting too
I actually finished this puzzle the other day after about 2-3 weeks of on and off playing with it.

Much the same for me. I was watching a movie and fiddling with the puzzle, and it ended up in four pieces. Was one of my first couple as well, haha
Same here lol
Currently trying to put it back together 😥😥
Loving all these uploads lately Chris!
Finally, I get to see you solve a puzzle I have already done. This puzzle took me about two hours to do and it was a pain. But it was definitely fun to solve.

This is awesome chris I’m always learning new things watching you , and the most precious thing I’ve learned watching you is being Patient 👍🏼👏🏻
Patience and persistence.

Not back to the beginning, love the channel and purchased this puzzle, can't get it back all the way and was hoping to see how here
I'm more baffled someone can come up with and make this thing.

I'm amaze by your patience man! Wow je te lève mon chapeau!👌
I’m into playing cards because of your magic. Thank you!
Video idea! Most satisfying puzzles? Like how this one had the set of moves near the end of the video
1909 Morgan Silver Dollar. Thats a cool coin. Also, I find the clicking sounds in these puzzles videos soothing.

:( didn’t get back to start position with both openings on the outside of the lock. As seen in the B roll
:) Yes, he did
No he didn't , adrian reis is correct
The two openings should be on the outside where he started which is the hard bit of the puzzle
Liked, already subbed and glad this one you did not give up on. That is my issue doing puzzles like these.
This is really cool and once you got it, the solution looks quite obvious. But before I had no idea. Nice!
totally respect this guy's patience
This video showed me that the chrome gaps side could be changed which really helped me out. 5 other videos didn't show it. I've now managed to get it set to factory reset to try solve still 😂
LOVE YOUR STUFF! Question- have you ever NOT completed a puzzle on camera? I don't think I've seen you ever fully stumped... but I could be wrong.
yo chris, your channel reminded me of all the wooden puzzles i never finished as a kid. do you have any personal rec's for tactile puzzles that you found enjoyable? harder the better
Dont usually subscribe but i love your videos. From the magic to these puzzle boxes. Thank you sir!
I bought this puzzle this week took me about an hour to solve it but the first try was just a happy accident. One more hour to put it back together. Than one more to solve it purposely. Its a great piece of art and i really like it.
the editing in this video was so clean
that sigh of relief at the end tells the tale
