"Pay attention to every little detail, every engraving..." Finds a number engraved that the instructions specifically call attention to. "Probably just a rarity number."
I love the psychology behind the design of these puzzles. You could clearly see this one was so hard that you didn't get so much satisfaction from the solve. It would be facinatimg to study the work versus reward curves for a number of these puzzles.
I would put it on my sisters phone or on her mouth so she would shut the hell up but I can't do that so I think my olny choice is to tape her mouth with flex tape or tape her phone all the way so she can't do anything
Kept waiting for him to try that. Cant just be a funny thing those numbers are there for a reason. Otherwise why would they have you find them so easily?
6:06 I would check that paper again, and try spinning in rotations of the order or sequence following the number you discovered.. So it's 249 so if turn it 2 times clockwise, 4 times counter clockwise, and 9 times clockwise.. and if that didn't work I'd try a few things regarding the numbers and turns probably.
Maybe, but it would require some spectacular tolerances to open from centrifugal forces spinning it in reverse directions for X amount of times in that specific order. A screw mechanism could do it but its fairly difficult to rely on threading when theres so many variables at play. Primarily lubrication and having it work over a period of time as a puzzle, and then degredation of the working surfaces depending on composition etc.
Using the notches on the brass key I think the number served as a less random way to open it. Think safe combinations, like 2 left, 4 right, 9 left. Of course you don't have a clear zero position so, just guessing here.
I'm pretty sure this is like the previous puzzle, it just gave you a decoy but it's still not completely solved. I mean, part of the instructions were to "replace the wanderer", and you haven't done that yet
The number really is just a serial number, it's different on every one of them. But another person who's solved it did in fact say that the little bearing wasn't actually the wanderer so I do think he missed something.
This might work if there are 9 notches on the brass pin and there was an identifying mark for notch one with instructions on clockwise incremental increase or counter-clockwise. Without an identifying mark it wouldn't be possible to know where to start and which way to turn. It is unlikely this is the case since I couldn't seem to find any identifying marks designating an initial pin. If anything it would be used in a way to guide you on how to get the wandering pin out of the lock but this just doesn't seem to be the case in this lock. I may be missing something without being able to hold the lock in my hand.
There is no need for notches if the numbers correspond to clock positions, So this might require you to dial the pin in at the 2 o'clock position, then the 4, then the 9 o'clock spots. Then again that might be the angle of the groove inside where a ball or a rod slides when the whole puzzle is held at those clock angles...?
I'm only upset he didn't put the pin from the bottom of the brass key into the hole in the side of the top of it. other than that I think he did all he could.
6:10- put the lock back in the main box and then use the brass pin you pulled out from the bottom to push something in on the 3rd hole to unlock the shackle all the way, then pull out the brass pin from the top.
I did some digging online and someone asked another person that had solved it about the bearing being the wandering and the solver said "...i wouldn't say so, no..."
6:00 I would assume the spring is, indeed, the "tiny wanderer", in that it was "floating" on the inside of the initial "case", so that would be the first goal completed.
I actually think the "Replacement" ist just putting it back together. There is written "second part" and it begins with "replace the wanderer, brass key and shackle", then "put the lock back in frame".
My thoughts are not that you had to do this blind but that the numbers were like that of a combination lock that gave you exact rotations for the key to successfully remove it. 2 left 4 right 9 left again..
I don’t think he found it either. Reminds me of the lotus one (by the same puzzle maker) where he thought he found the lotus and it was crappy, then realized he wasn’t done. Thought that would happen again. With such high quality puzzles, unlikely that was the wanderer (also pics online show a coin)

I really enjoy your videos I've been watching them for a few months now and my boyfriend really enjoys your magic/card tricks I hope you keep making videos for a long time and I'm excited to keep catching up on your older videos and see all the puzzles you've solved. Much love❤️
There is 3 holes and the lock only uses 2. I feel like the lock needed to be placed back into the housing and the pin needed to be placed into the third unused hole.
The clickbait wording bothered me for a while, but then I accepted that this is just a hyperbole And to be honest, this puzzle would really be *impossible* for me
I also found a Mechanical Puzzle Classification system where Impossible Puzzles are a subtype, along with Dexterity based or Sequential Movement puzzles, and the definition is "The puzzle is to explain how an object was made orv why it behaves in a seemingly impossible way"
15:34, You already found the wanderer. There is a free moving part in the lock. I think that has more to do with the top lock coming off then the orientation of the brass pin
It's called the wanderer because that piece wanders around inside of the puzzle. Maneuvering it around the puzzle all the way to the top is the crux of the solution, so you could say it's wandering, and it's tiny.
That didn't seem completely solved are you sure that's it Chris? The maker could of just press fit three metal plugs where them screws are that doesn't seem right.
5:56. Refer to the "Bad Radio" puzzle solution. If that method doesn't work, try it again repeatedly. Maybe some bolt cutters. Solved. You're welcome. Don't even need to watch the rest of the vid. I nailed it Edit: I was close enough 😂😂😂
There are 3 holes, only 2 are used to stuck it into the frame. You also get a piece that you can stuck into a hole... hm... a useless hole and a useless stick. Could that have a meaning??
It is not the coin, it is never referenced thereforr the other puzler used the coin as scale in the photos, i believe the wanderer is the lock pin that came out.
Lol for some reason i'm drawn to these vids but i think mistakes were made in this one. Firstly, ignoring the 2, 4, 9 was quite disappointing. I think you lucked out and somehow combo'd something in relation to those digits by physically looking through the peepholes into the bars (still impressive, but I think you cracked the lock there instead of actually solving it). Also i'm not sure you found the tiny wanderer; because when u said @11:55 this little "bearing" fell out, that was what you called the tiny wanderer, but u hadn't removed the brass key yet... So either it's a shitty puzzle (because you did step 4 before step 3) or you never really completed step 4. I'm not sure, but my guess is since step 3 and 4 are sequential then the tiny wanderer should either be in the brass key, or the part you took the brass key out of, or the brass key should be used to find it somehow. I think we need revenge lock part 2; then i'll subscribe :p
6:06 first it's not a spin move that makes the brass pop up, it's when you have it oriented so that you can see the number. Then when the center brass pops up, get the tiny "wanderer" pin that you pointed out. Then I would unscrew the bottom bit.
I'm pretty sure he did solve it. I looked it up my self, if you mean the coin, thats not part of the puzzle. The English instruction on the letter are poorly translated. In German it says clearly put the wanderer, the brass key and shakle back in place. And the instructions go further in German they tell you that it takes way longer to put it back to gather.
Idk, I saw someone else solve it trough a blog and it should have a coin inside which should be the wanderer. I mean, neither of us will really know unless we solve it ourselves though.
First of all, his channel is mostly about SOLVING puzzles. So why the fuck shouldn't I tell him that the puzzle might not be solved??? I'm watching his vids because I want him to solve the puzzles because I'll never be able to do it myself. Like most of us are. So don't come out here and be all mean, when I'm here supporting him and TRYING to notify him it might not be done yet.
A few videos ago you could see the stains on his hands from not using gloves and if you follow his insta he posts a story of how he did it before going away to Germany, logical enough for ya dude?
your definition of "keyboard warrior" is very loose. apparently asking for a logical answer is being a keyboard warrior? with that logic, i'd be able to come up with the conclusion of you and I are also both keyboard warriors.
@8:36 I would be trying the number sequence you found in some way combination with the notches...maybe 2 clicks, 4 clicks, and 9 clicks... like a combination lock
It was obvious when the paper said find your number that it was a combo lock... 249 was his number and he needed to place the spinning thing to those number in sequence to have it raise
06:05 I am thinking it’s a combination lock. I would look had at the gold peace and see if there was anything I could do to put in a combination. Or maybe it’s the holes as you push down. Three numbers 3 holes. For sure really appreciate the iner workings of the craftsmanship.
8:49 maybe the numbers 249 mean that you have to either spin clockwise or counter clockwise that many times (2 times clockwise, 4 times counter clockwise, etc.) or move the brass key in certain positions
Seriously! The brass pin has three stops,. It has notches for orientation when turning. There is a 3 digit number that is referenced in the instructions. IT'S A COMBINATION LOCK!! That was frustrating to watch...Or I could be completely wrong.
@15:00 .. I would try putting it back into the main body ... the main brass pin can now get lower into the lock, and the two pins in the main body might unlock or unhold the mechanism inside the actual lock
6:02 I'd try using the removed piece to see if it does anything with the teeny ipn under the head of the brass piston like pin... Or try forcing it to unscrew with that little tiny pin pressed down by the big brass piston like piece...
6:10- I would try putting the lock back in the frame and put the pin in one of the holes available. The base will take care of two of the holes and your pin will take care of the 3rd, but I could be way off.
Isnt 2-4 -9 like a pin code. Like one of the twist locls you go right left right with. So it sort of explains the bronze peice unlocking the arch when he twist it
249 is just the number of the puzzle he has. This means he has purchased the 249th puzzle. My puzzle has the number 257. I bought one after seeing this video
@@aitorjara100 LMFAO you truly have some anger issues. All I'm doing is informing people of the truth. It's not my fault your dumbass probably believed he didn't solve it and are getting mad that u were wrong proven wrong
8:24 - Something about it saying earlier know your number? Maybe in order to get the shackle out you need to have it in the right notch... There seems to be a lot of notches. For example it says 249 believe. Maybe you need to have it in the second notch pull, then the fourth notch and pull and finally the 9th notch and pull? No idea but maybe something like that.
@ 6:02.............I would read the instructions carefully. I think you are ignoring the instructions. The brass thingy is key. The small pin inside that locks up big brass piece is also key to opening.
Hey Chris! So I'd love for you to try this one again. I was searching the websites and people have asked if what we thought was the little piece 'the wandered' was the actual ending. However, it isn't. There's actually a bit more to go. Maybe take a picture of that final piece and show it to Wil and see if that truly is the wanderer. If so, great job, however.. just don't think that's it and would love to see this solved all the way through :) No harm in checking right? :)

I love the psychology behind the design of these puzzles. You could clearly see this one was so hard that you didn't get so much satisfaction from the solve. It would be facinatimg to study the work versus reward curves for a number of these puzzles.
I would use the 249 as a code for the brass pin as a vault type lock by spinning it 2, 4 and then 9 times to the notches.
Yeah that was my thought as well. Why even mention "find your number" if it wouldn't mean anything at all?

Maybe, but it would require some spectacular tolerances to open from centrifugal forces spinning it in reverse directions for X amount of times in that specific order.
A screw mechanism could do it but its fairly difficult to rely on threading when theres so many variables at play. Primarily lubrication and having it work over a period of time as a puzzle, and then degredation of the working surfaces depending on composition etc.
I'm pretty sure that "discover" your number is just telling you that you need to remove it from the case
Ahh, that's probably how he was supposed to unlock it. By turning the brass key like that number of times. I don't think he actually solved it then
Using the notches on the brass key I think the number served as a less random way to open it.

You didn't use the number. Something is missing.

time stamp 6:47 maybe you have to align the golden rod with the numbers by turning it like a safe lock.
I had the same lock but it had a different number
This might work if there are 9 notches on the brass pin and there was an identifying mark for notch one with instructions on clockwise incremental increase or counter-clockwise. It is unlikely this is the case since I couldn't seem to find any identifying marks designating an initial pin.
Exactly what I thought
9:36 Guessing it's like a combination lock, and that the engraved number unlocks it, based on the notches.
This is what I was thinking. I kept telling him out loud to look at the number again.
8:34 that's my thought too. Fingers crossed.
yup
3:27 It's an orientation mechanic. When you turn it to read the numbers properly the pins set -- he thought it was the spinning.
Yeah i was like loook at the fucking numbers
Why do I feel like that wasn't the tiny wanderer?
because it wasn't... It's a tiny two pound coin from old london
I think... from the pictures that's what it seems
Nico Levy the coin is used to show the size of the lock, as a reference point
oh gotcha... then I have no clue...
I'm only upset he didn't put the pin from the bottom of the brass key into the hole in the side of the top of it. other than that I think he did all he could.
Weird how the lock changed states after he spoke his number. That's ingenious engineering.

That has been proven inaccurate by the creator of the puzzle himself. The traveling bearing is the wanderer.
6:00 I would assume the spring is, indeed, the "tiny wanderer", in that it was "floating" on the inside of the initial "case", so that would be the first goal completed.
I'm pretty sure that the puzzle is still unsolved
Yeah, I agree. There are steps that have not yet been followed.
Definitely.
I actually think the "Replacement" ist just putting it back together. There is written "second part" and it begins with "replace the wanderer, brass key and shackle", then "put the lock back in frame".
Well, you're all wrong. The creator did in fact verify that this was the entire solution.
My thoughts are not that you had to do this blind but that the numbers were like that of a combination lock that gave you exact rotations for the key to successfully remove it.
2 left 4 right 9 left again..
The 2 4 9 is your number as this puzzle has unique path that you must follow
Didn't it say you should replace the tiny wanderer? This gives me the feeling that you didnt find it yet

It is not the coin, it is never referenced thereforr the other puzler used the coin as scale in the photos, i believe the wanderer is the lock pin that came out.
Brian Bmo Morgan if it is, then it kinda sucks
6:02 I would try to reverse thread the little screw into parts and try to push/pull something out
I’d lock to see more puzzle videos like this
6:00 i would go in to the garage and open the lock with a bolt cutter
I would pick-lock the key hole
their was no key-hole
artemis322 there*
Lol for some reason i'm drawn to these vids but i think mistakes were made in this one.
Imad Akel u butt
They call it a brass KEY, so surely it unlocks the body of the lock to free the wanderer?
What about the Brass key is the one unscrewed from the bottom of the lock and the "wanderer" is into another brass maze?
As confirmed by the creator himself, he completely solved the puzzle.
6:06 first it's not a spin move that makes the brass pop up, it's when you have it oriented so that you can see the number. Then when the center brass pops up, get the tiny "wanderer" pin that you pointed out. Then I would unscrew the bottom bit.
PLEASE try solving this one again!! You haven’t finished it yet!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You didn’t find the wanderer yet!
belinda hawkins I looked it up, so I know it isn’t solved

My boy got a tan!
Lachie McFarlane a fake tan
Lord Spiffington III and you know that it’s fake how? lol I’d love to hear the logical answer that you have to share with us
A few videos ago you could see the stains on his hands from not using gloves and if you follow his insta he posts a story of how he did it before going away to Germany, logical enough for ya dude?
your definition of "keyboard warrior" is very loose. apparently asking for a logical answer is being a keyboard warrior? with that logic, i'd be able to come up with the conclusion of you and I are also both keyboard warriors.
Bruh stop fighting yall
His beard has magic powers I swear
@8:36 I would be trying the number sequence you found in some way combination with the notches...maybe 2 clicks, 4 clicks, and 9 clicks... like a combination lock
@6:03 I would place the lock back in the frame and use the pin.
THIS GUY-solves the world's hardest puzzles
ME- still can't get this band-aid out of the wrapper and bout to bleed to death
It was obvious when the paper said find your number that it was a combo lock... 249 was his number and he needed to place the spinning thing to those number in sequence to have it raise
Tim, you were already told that you wouldn't need an identifying mark in this case.
Could the first pin that worked automatically = 2?
06:05 I am thinking it’s a combination lock. I would look had at the gold peace and see if there was anything I could do to put in a combination. Or maybe it’s the holes as you push down. Three numbers 3 holes. For sure really appreciate the iner workings of the craftsmanship.
6:05 try turning the gold life with the peg in...
Make a another video of the Excalibur
Edit you should destroy the Excalibur
The OzekinBros is
It's not actually solved
Zander Burt i agree, you can hear another pieces shifting inside, which i believe is the real tiny wanderer.
Puzzle NOT solved!
Hello my name is also Zander
8:49 maybe the numbers 249 mean that you have to either spin clockwise or counter clockwise that many times (2 times clockwise, 4 times counter clockwise, etc.) or move the brass key in certain positions
Or spin it 249 times XD
sais "thats a fun puzzle" 😂
Truth: "im dead inside help me"
6:00 I would try to put it back into the base while the key is lifted/out. I'm getting an unsatisfied feeling with the little wanderer man
lol you accidentally picked a combination lock
6:00 put it back in the frame or chuck it at the wall
6:08 put the lock back in the frame, try to use the pin & open the shackle?...
249 is the combination of the notches and pin:) boom... 08:34
Yeah I was wondering why no one else caught that!
6:06 Try to match up the holes I guess? Or try to use the stick thing you unscrewed to hold up the latch from the side holes or the holes on the back.
I would put it back into the frame and then put the pin in to the last hole a then see what happens.. (6:08). Lets see how I did
Well, I was completely wrong 😅
Patrik_ Gluchowski good idea
Might still be true, I don't feel like this is fully solved especially since he didn't "replace the tiny wanderer"
I was going to say the same. Oh well.
6:00 I would piff it at a wall and cry in the corner
Haaa love ur vidz man keeps me relaxed
6:02 I'd try using the removed piece to see if it does anything with the teeny ipn under the head of the brass piston like pin... Or try forcing it to unscrew with that little tiny pin pressed down by the big brass piston like piece...
i would try to use your magic number to unlock it 10:50 as in use a specific code to get it open like a safe lock
I would stop the video look up how to use it and cut the video reframe and continue 🤓
7:29 pull the stuff up at different notches according to you “number”
WamBam Dan smart
MAYBE hidden number is a number of how many orientations you need to do!
6:10- I would try putting the lock back in the frame and put the pin in one of the holes available. The base will take care of two of the holes and your pin will take care of the 3rd, but I could be way off.
*IS THIS THE TINY WANDERER??*
@@andrewfoss728 Man we get it, you also solved it. You are the type of guy who spends one hour replying to the whole comment section. Just stop it
@@aitorjara100 LMFAO you truly have some anger issues. All I'm doing is informing people of the truth. It's not my fault your dumbass probably believed he didn't solve it and are getting mad that u were wrong proven wrong
06:04 To be honest I probably wouldn’t have even made it to this point. And on the off chance I did I’d likely just fumble about.
You need a puzzle piece tattoo to represent your puzzle genius.
nikeeweston jigsaw lol
6:05 I would continue to watch the video
Has anyone ever thought of using these puzzles as real locks
Max Bufton of course, me. :D
At 6:07 I would just continue watching your video because you are really freaking good at these puzzles
the wanderer is probably the little metal thing he saw moving around
So you mean the one he took out of the puzzle and thought was the wanderer? Because that's what the creator of the puzzle says is the wanderer.
5:58 try to poke the thing that screwed off into every single hole
6:00 read the instructions
@ 5:58 I think the number was actually was using gravity. Every time you moved the # away things didn't work the same. Could be wrong, could be right?
@ 6:02.............I would read the instructions carefully. I think you are ignoring the instructions. The brass thingy is key. The small pin inside that locks up big brass piece is also key to opening.
Dope vid as usual dude, love to see a new vid upon the channel! Keep up the amazing work and keep doing what you love! #RAMFAM
Alex Bispham ehat
6:06 I would have tried putting the lock back into the holder, and used the now free pin thing in that 3rd hole, to see what happens..
