- 85 was built in 1932 by Beyer Peacock in Manchester for express trains between Belfast and Dublin until withdrawal in 1963.
85 has ran with the RPSI since 1985 until 2024 when she was withdrawn for an overhaul, last run being in December 2023 in Dublin.
85 is owned by the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum, however is on a long term loan to the RPSI for mainline operations in Northern Ireland and Ireland.
Thank you for uploading this video along with the three others. They are a great tribute to your father who is inspirational to many!
Will continue to upload his and soon my own also. Thank you for the support
The Fireman controls that loco as much as the driver, very busy man.
Much more difficult job by far, drivers can never keep hands off the shovel when they aren’t driving. Everyone loves to fire!
Walsh looks the part in the goggles and God is feeding the fire 🤝🏻
Smart guy with goggles!
@@Sp1ke_Games Will be me someday. Mark those words

@@James-ih4gzI am on the same page, love cleaning the engines especially when they are to do a scenic run. When they look their best it is brilliant
