So true! And I wish young Christians men and women wake up to this true teaching. I have heard so many Christians women have been in relationships with non Christians and they are facing hard time. Some Christians are missing many important things in the Bible.
Also there are many Christians leaders who have no knowledge of the Bible. " my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge. “Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priests; because you have ignored the law of your God, I also will ignore your children" ( Hosea 4:6).
Notice, the knowledge of the Lord is not merely information or worldly, but it is God Himself and his great presence.
Thank you Paul Washer, I am so gald to see a great Christian preacher like you nowadays!

A girl was telling me it was God’s will that she and several other women in her family be teachers and pastors at her church. She wouldn’t listen when I showed her the scriptures that prohibited women teaching in the church because she felt “called by God” to be a pastor...

I think I've strayed very close to crossing the dating a non believer line, and I'm still praying for them. But i fear I've sinned against them and God by going too close. Please pray for me, that God would give me grace, and help me follow His will, not my own. That His word would be a lamp unto my feet, and that i would stop seeing how close i can get to sin, without sin. I thought i could witness, but my feelings and thoughts, i fear i let take priority over His word. Which is a theme, of my life. Please pray for me

Or to open my eyes, to His word when I don't feel like I'm learning anything from it. I've been in a malaise lately and just need prayer, because I'm feeling so dead.

@@TheJpep2424 and what did Christ do? Didn't he obey God's 10 Commandments and told people to do so?
Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. Ecc. 12:13
One day an expert in the law stood up to test Him. “Teacher,” he asked, “what must I do to inherit eternal life?”
26“What is written in the Law?” Jesus replied. “How do you read it?”
27He answered, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’ and ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.”
28“You have answered correctly,” Jesus said. “Do this and you will live.”
      Luke 10:25-28
As Jesus started on His way, a man ran up and knelt before Him. “Good Teacher,” he asked, “what must I do to inherit eternal life?”
18“Why do you call Me good?” Jesus replied. “No one is good except God alone. 19 You know the commandments: ‘Do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not bear false witness, do not cheat others, honor your father and mother.” Mark 10:17-19
For it makes no difference whether or not a man has been circumcised. The important thing is to keep God's commandments. 1 Cor. 7:19
We know we love God's children if we love God and obey his commandments.
      1 John 5:2
it's all over the bible. Faith without works is useless(dead). If you hear any preacher preaching anything else but that, run!

Video z, For an example of when you need to leave your family: I joined a non-denominational and my family said I was having a mental breakdown. I left Methodism and they freaked out on me. The more I cut alcohol and bad movies the more ridicule I get. I go out and witness and they cry, “you can’t push your faith on others.” It’s a balance for sure, but our families are often stuck in the world.

The Bible, just like every other form of communication in our language uses various different methods of writing. It uses poetry, it uses allegories, it uses over exaggeration to make a point, it uses examples and comparisons, it uses word pictures. Not all of Scripture is mean to be taken literally. Jesus, for example, said that He is a door. Does that mean that He is a literal flat piece of wood that hangs on hinges and can open and close? Certainly not. When Christ said you have to hate father and mother and child, is it not possibly an over exaggeration to make a point? The point that, *in comparison* to how you love Christ, it should *look* like you hate everyone else. You should not love *anyone* else even *close* to the way you love Christ. If your mother demands you to do something contrary to what Christ demands you to do, you should defy your mother without hesitation to follow Christ.
Sometimes a point is made clearly and straight forwardly. Sometimes a point is made in a roundabout way using illustrations, pictures, comparisons, and exaggerations. The Bible is no different.

When casting lots to get a result was a culture in those days. It was done by disciple's too. How can we say that it's correct judgement. It just a random number or name. Same way if God wants to talk to you or anyone. He can talk to them even when they pray ,open the Bible randomly and place his finger on a verse. God can talk in any ways.

Doctrine…………….of God do you keep it ?
Or have you blasphemed it ?
    1 Timothy 6:1
“Let as many servants as are under
    the yoke
count their own masters worthy of all honour,
    that the name of God
    And
    his
    doctrine
    be not blasphemed.”
    1 Timothy 6:3
    “If any man teach otherwise,
and consent not to wholesome words,
    even the words
    of our Lord Jesus Christ,
    and to the
    doctrine
    which is according to godliness;”
4He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,
5Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.
    Deuteronomy 32:2
    “My doctrine
    shall drop as the rain,
my speech shall distil as the dew,
as the small rain upon the tender herb,
and as the showers upon the grass:”
    Matthew 7:28
“And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended
    these sayings,
    the people were astonished
    at his doctrine:”
    John 7:16
    “Jesus answered them, and said,
    My doctrine
    is not mine,
    but his that sent me.”
    Deuteronomy 32:1
    “Give ear, O ye heavens,
    and I will speak;
    and hear,
    O earth,
    the words of my mouth.”
    Proverbs 4:2
    “For I give you
    good doctrine,
    forsake ye not
    my law.”
    Bless you

1 John 2:1-2 New International Version (NIV)
"1 My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father-Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. 2 He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world."
The will of God is found perfectly in 2 Peter 3:9: "The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance."
Unless Paul Washer, John Piper, John MacArthur, and everyone else who is Calvinist, renounces their belief that - only some elect were predestined to be saved, they are all going against God's perfect will, that none perish - and, that "Jesus Christ atoning sacrifice for our sins, is not only for ours, but also for the sins of the whole world."
HOW have Calvinists so missed this perfect will of God?!?

    • @2timothy23
      @2timothy23 5 років тому

Jeff, your comment was actually off topic; Paul Washer was speaking about Christians knowing the will of God based on the truth of Romans 12:2, which has everything to do with renewing your mind. This is part of our sanctification. The subject of election isn't the point of this video. And to use 2 Peter 3:9 as your proof text to show the perfect will that God didn't elect or predestine anyone, but died for every single person that ever lived (which is what I believe you're getting when you define "world") actually doesn't help you make that case.
First, Paul Washer never said people were going against God's perfect will based on your assertion in this video. So either you saw this in another video (which you should take the time to provide the link) or you are just coming to this conclusion based on hostility against reformed theology. Second, read 2 Peter 3:9, in context and grammar, the "anyone" and "everyone" has an antecedent, which is "you" (or "us-ward" in the KJV). If you follow the flow of the pronouns in context in 2 Peter 3:1-9, you will rightly see that the "you" is the pronoun for "beloved" in 2 Peter 3:8. The "beloved" is first mentioned in verse 1, which pertains to believers. In fact, verse 1 says, "This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance." Peter wrote them (the beloved) a first epistle, which is 1 Peter, and in 1 Peter 1:2 he calls his audience "Elect, according to the foreknowledge of God the Father..." The beloved are the elect. The beloved are the believers. The beloved is the "you" in 2 Peter 3:9, which means God doesn't want "anyone" of the elect to perish, but "everyone" of the elect to come to repentance. This is the context of the verse. We can't insert "world" for "you" when it isn't there.
Third, and finally, many Christians make a grave mistake by thinking the word "world" (which is cosmos or kosmos in the Greek) always means "every single person that ever lived." Like all grammar, world has multiple applications based on the context. Because we are so accustomed to using it to mean every single person in John 3:16, we forget that it has multiple applications. In John 15:18-19 and 17:9, it means unbelievers. In 1 John 2:15-17, it means the worldly system. In John 1:10 and Acts 17:24, it means the planet and all God created. In Luke 9:25 it means the riches, prestige, or status of the world. In other places, it is part of prepositional phrases, speaking of things in, of, or part of the world. Even John 3:16, in context, means Jews and Gentiles without distinction, not without exception. Even in 1 John 2:2, "the whole world" again refers to those that would believe without distinction, not exception, because the word propitiation (in the KJV) translated "atoning sacrifice" in the translation you used, means that God's wrath is satisfied for believers (which is why Jesus Christ is our advocate with the Father in 1 John 2:1). If the "whole world" meant "everyone that ever lived" then everyone that ever lived has their sins atoned for and would not go to hell according to the way you are reading it. How could God's wrath be satisfied against people in hell suffering God's eternal wrath? How can Christ be an atoning sacrifice for "us" (the believer), which is definite, and also for the "whole world" (which would include the unbeliever that never repents), which is only "possible?" Propitiation can't have conflicting meanings in a sentence where the grammar doesn't call for it.
In conclusion, to attack Calvinists about the perfect will of God by your reasoning and misuse of scripture is not logical. And why would any good preacher renounce something that the Bible says in context, content, and grammar? No offense, but I don't think the intent of attacking reformed theology has anything to do with what Paul Washer was preaching about in this clip.

      Jeff,
I am not Calvinist, I don’t like how many different denominations there are period, Christian is good enough for me. My question is: is it possible for God to NOT know who will and who won’t become saved? Has history not already been authored beginning to end by God? Those answers are clear. Therefore predestination is the only logical conclusion from Gods perspective. From human perspective we all can still choose, but God knows the ultimate outcome for each of us since the beginning.
      Hope this helps. God bless!

We don't live by how we feel and if we make decisions according on how we feel then we are lost. We need to truly repent. But hey where do we leave The Holy Spirit? He is our Comforter and Counselor. Jesus said it it is convenient for you that I go to the Father because I would send The Holy Spirit who will remain you of my words. I think we sometimes miss the true focus and point the Bible is accurate and true and I believe there are things that won't be clear until The Lord Jesus comes and everything will be finally clear for us by now what we know is what we have in the Bible and we should be content with that. Communion with Christ through The Holy Spirit. Let the whole world know there is a SAVIOUR, JESUS! GOD BLESS YOU GUYS LET FOCUS OUR EYES ON JESUS!

Jesus set us free from the penalty of the law through faith in Jesus Christ and his atoning death. Legalism is thinking you can by works satisfy a Holy God. Jesus himself said that if you love me you will obey my commands. What is the point of the New Testament if you are not to obey it.jesus himself commands us to accept the gospel. The greatest freedom a human being can have is the freedom from the penalty of sin. The greatest treasure is the imputed righteousness of Jesus Christ for our salvation.
