- There are a lot of ... not very good exotics in the game right now. Today's video is more of a riff on how I would buff 5 exotics in particular at this current time. Number 3 will shock you. It actually might, it's sort of outlandish, but give it a chance.

i think the reason astrocyte verse isnt on here is he was reviewing some of the exotics that needed a complete rework. all astrocyte verse needs is just a buff to the recovery given by blink

I wouldn't mock Datto as is knowledge on destiny is pretty vast, if he knew they're wouldn't be any more patches he wouldn't make the video. Don't make feeble comments that are totally wrong.

For knucklehead they should add third eye to every weapon
I have a question. Why does knucklehead radar give third eye when the Arachnid has eyes all over it? Knucklehead radar should be the helm that gives more range; it has that circle on the visor that would make sense to increase zoom. Arachnid has many little visors or eyes on it which would make a LOT of sense for third eye.
I dunno. I just think that, aesthetically, these helmets steal each other's abilities.
Immolation fists should grant sunspots and maybe that perk that grants overshield for standing in sunspots.
That idea about kepris sting and don't touch me is cool. Maybe also grant escape artist while using the gauntlets? It'd be more of a PvE thing if anything.

An armour increase after super activation on Inmost Light would be nice. The animation after the smash leaves you so vulnerable, it'd be great to be able to survive being cross-mapped before having any chance of defending yourself.
They should combine the Mk. 44 Stand Asides and Peregrine Greaves

Maybe you haven't kicked a Striker mid-Panic Fist and then watching how stupid it really was. Did it once and laughed. For the roaming supers, though, good luck getting close to them (Maybe not Bladedancer, but still).

I have ideas on how to make Astrocyte Verse not useless
1. Bring back the original intended perk (Reduce cool down and increased distance of blink)
2.(My personal choice) While in the air Double tap O, O or B,B for xbox to blink into your choice of direction. This'll make it like twilight garrison but for warlocks, and it'll be great because warlocks have the slowest jump in the game, they're slower than titan skating with or without twilight garrison, and hunters...Well they're hunters of course they're faster
3. Whenever you blink while critically wounded you have a high chance of immediately starting Health regeneration on top of the increased recovery it already has.
4. Grants an overshield that lasts for 3 seconds on blink when critically wounded, this allows for you to narrowly escape from death
5. Grants Ionic blink on storm caller
6. You gain massive boost to running speed and agility when you blink while critically wounded.
So far that is all that i have, so if you want to add anything, or adjust some of them, or plain out change one, feel free to go ahead and do it. I am open to any discussions. If you're also wondering why i keep putting *while critically wounded* on the perks is, I feel like it'll make it less over powered and more of an insurance exotic, because recovering health or gaining an overshield every time you blink is way too OP
A lot of exotic armour need a buff, no many exotics don't even do a lot. I was working on a video for this myself, but now that I think of it I might do a top 10 lol
Skull of Diarrhea needs a buff too. I'd like to see something as simple as, "Unlocks Vortex for Nova Bomb for free." That way you could use Shatter for massive CC with 3 Vortex Bombs, or Lance for a cross map MLG snipe with a Vortex Bomb.

I use Alchemist Ramient when running self rez because otherwise ALL the orbs on the ground are basically useless (as they will disapear if ever I die).
But heres what bothers me....... normally... if you are full super and walk over an orb you dont pick it up because you dont need it, so why is it with Alchemist that when I'm full grenade AND meelee and walk over an orb it picks it up FOR NO REASON.
That's the reason I stopped using the armor, I was tired of accidentally picking up the orbs when I don't need them. Trasversive Steps is a much better all around in PVE now, though.
Datto, great suggestions! One bit of feedback: the Immolation Fist change you're suggesting sounds really good, however, your comment regarding Fleetfire makes it sound as though you haven't used that perk much. In addition to increasing movement speed, the reload speed buff you get from Fleetfire reminds me of a poor man's War Machine (on the Defender Skill Tree). Using something like the Thermite Grenade to kill multiple PvE low tier enemies really helps to keep those reload speeds up, particularly when you can get a x3 stack.
Knucklehead should give you radar for all special and heavy weapons in addition to keen scout.

I've thought the same for a long time, wouldn't be op, but would definitely make it usable.
I am of the opinion that it should give you continuous radar regardless of the weapon type but that should be it. Having continuous situational awareness regardless of what weapon type you are using would be a powerful ability, in both PvE and PvP, but not an overpowered one.

kherpi sting is one of my favorite exotic if u know how to use it can be amazing. the only buff it needs is to it and stalker and thats 1/2 the time it take and twicking invis so u r true invisible far away but become more the closer u get to ur target
alcemist's should give special ammo on primary pic up like 1-2 shots per pic up. Maybe a really small amount of heavy when you pick up special box like 1 rocket every 3-4 boxes and you gain primary ammo from every ammo box. the glimmer portion works on primary ammo but gets a buff. so basically make it a ammo conservation piece and have the glimmer as a neat litte efect.
I think glasshouse could use a buff. Glasshouse adds 5 seconds. TBH it should add 10 seconds and grant illuminated. If glasshouse is supposed to buff bubble buffs, the only way that can be done without making them too strong is to increase duration and free up a perk slot.
I really like the buffs you suggested. I was expecting to see the new exotic helm for the warlock that allows you to recover after a blink. I think allowing it to work with the Stromcaller blink and giving a buff to recovery would make it a much better exotic.

I think Knucklehead Radar would be better served by having the radar active at all times regardless of the weapon used as opposed to just the Primary. It would likely see a lot more use in both PvE and PvP as having continuous situational awareness would certainly be a powerful thing to have.
The Alchemist Raiment could further be improved by including the Better Already perk as an inherent perk.

Instead of armor, the #1 thing I want to see buffed is the exotic weapon 'The fourthHorseman'
I haven't seen anyone use this gun in about a year. The buff I would give to it is change its exotic perk from "This weapon has full auto" to
" this weapon has full auto, and each shot hit after the shot hits before it, deals ~15% more damage. Reduce spread the longer the trigger is held.
I think the first and last ability explain themselves, but the middle ability may need some more explaining. ( so after the very first shot hits, the next shot after that deals 15% more damage, and then the shot after that deals 15% more damage of the 2nd shot damage. For instance: the first shot deals 1000 dmg, the next shot would deal 1150 dmg, and the next shot would deal about 1322, then the next shot would deal up to 1520. The final shot would deal damage, staking with its final round perk. With this buff though, we would likely have to decrease the base impact, slightly. And increase the amount of times the 'return to sender procs.'(or maybe change it to 'when h This would mean, in the long run it ting an opponent, ammunition is refunded straight to the magazine, this would help my conclusion make sense) , that the fourth house man could potentially become a killer in pve, just stand there, and your damage increases up and up and up. While pop would barely be affected, because the range is not being to badly affected, so it would be earned if the user does get the perk to proc. Please read over this ditto, and comment on my idea. Anyone else that happens to read this, please tell me what you think of the idea. I would love to see a buff to the gun. Thank you all. Have a good day

Datto, I was wondering if your gonna talk about sunsinger. Many people want a buff, because it's supposed to be support and some think it isn't like that. There's so much support for it and I wanna hear your ideas on the the topic
I've been a striker main since the beta, and Helm of Inmost Light was my first exotic armor back before VoG had even released. I love this helmet and I've been wearing it almost exclusively, up until I got dunemarchers. It'd be very nice to see it get a bit more love.

RSh s Primary issue: Every class has bad exotics. Every class has good exotics.
Secondary issue: Just because another class has more or less bad exotics, is irrelevant to a given item in question.
Tertiary issue: Those bad ones should be buffed too. No one is saying otherwise.
Final verdict: Just because Warlocks have good exotics, does not mean in no way shape or form, that they should receive horrible exotics, nor should already said bad exotic stay the same. This also applies to Hunters and Titans
I was actually tossing ideas of how to buff the knucklehead as well. while I agree with Keen scout being added and didn't consider that, I think that as far as the 3rd eye perk, it should be for all weapons.
The changes I would make to Knucklehead Radar would be: Gain Thrid Eye on all primaries and heavys.(Not really sure about special weapons. That might be a little op.)You gain Keen Scout, and as a little bonus perk, you get radar back in Nightfalls and Heroic Strikes with Chaff.
i think alot of these are pretty good and interesting so i decided to give my thoughts. knucklehead radar: if you gave it keen scout graviton forfeit would become kinda useless as radar would give you keen scout allowing you to get shadestep, but also give you free radar. i definately like your idea about alchemists rainment but i feel like it wouldnt be used that much in pve as orbs are one of the main reasons you get a super especially if you have a nightstalker and 9/10 times i would use my super over a grenade for ad clearing/dps. nova bomb and stormtrance are amazing at ad clearing and most people use those over grenades. also sunsinger just gives you free nades so not many would pair it with sunsinger. it definatly sounds useful in pvp tho as supers arent gamechanging as much as they are in pve so it would deffinatly get some good useability in pvp. the merger khepris sting/dont touch me is definatly a great idea as both of them dont have much usage because their so situational but merging them might make them pretty decent if you know how to use them. it may be a bit to OP if you use throwing knife but other then that, great idea
The only way Khepri's Sting and Don't Touch Me would have any mainstream viability is if Stealth was powered up further. At the moment, smart and attentive players can easily counter a stealth player because of the prepatory audio cue it gives off and that the radar doesn't completely shroud your presence. If Don't Touch Me and Khepri's Sting is going to work -- Stealth needs to completely shroud your presence by hiding your presence on the radar until a certain proximity (flashing red still gives it away that you're coming from that direction) -also- melee tracking needs to be disabled while stealth. Hitting someone, and then having them go stealth is useless if all you can do is mash melee and just hit them again depending on tracking to connect the attack. One of two things needs to happen with stealth. Melee tracking disabled so you can't just auto aim a stealthed person with melee OR Don't Touch Me needs to come with a temporary overshield. At the moment Warlocks are abusing this 1-on-1 encounter saving ability where you trade Melee ... but you just lose because the Warlock had Overshield. At the very least, hitting a stealthed player with a gun or any damage will bring them out of stealth allowing melee tracking to work as intended. Don't Touch Me would be more attractive either with a shield OR melee tracking disabled on stealth.
Helm of inmost light- Orbs of light created from fist of havoc further reduces cooldown of your next nova bomb; A titan's version of the obsidian mind .
Alchemist Raiment- Increased glimmer pickup from killing major enemies, chance to get glimmer on all ammo pickup, and orbs picked up by teammates grants them glimmer.
Don't touch me- Getting hit by melee turns you invisible and instantly recharges blinkstrike charge; I wanted this thing to be more of a blade dancer exotic, even though we have shinobu's vow

Helm of Inmost Light doesn't need a buff, it just needs people to give it a chance. It's already the most fun exotic in the game, the problem is that too many people sacrifice the fun factor for DPS. Recently I went back through my last two years of Destiny videos and many of my favorite ones were supermanning a group of opponents.
Datto I only have one issue with the Knucklehead Radar buff:
If it gives Keen Scout AND Third Eye then Graviton Forefit is rendered useless. The reason to use Graviton Forefit is so that you can use Keen Scout and Shadestep. If you give this buff to Knucklehead, you can use Keen Scout, Shadestep, AND Third Eye. Giving this buff to Knucklhead (although I really like this idea) will force you to have to buff Graviton Forefit as well.
What about a buff to helm of inmost light that allows it to be aimed in any direction, not just down? Or that the more distance from activation to impact the larger the radius of fist of havoc?

Memory of Gheleon already gives keen scout in addition to third eye for primaries. As a hunter, I love it for PvP so I can switch to Bladedancer or Gunslinger and still keep one of my favorite perks from the Nightstalker subclass. But yeah, the artifact doesn't just replace Knucklehead Radar--it's a significant upgrade. Come to think of it, this artifact also makes another hunter exotic helmet pretty much useless as well: Graviton Forfeit. Getting keen scout with your artifact means you can easily take Shadestep in the last column without sacrificing the radar buff.
I see a lot of people saying Knucklehead Radar should give third eye with all weapons, but I don't even think that would make for a compelling exotic, especially since we're not in a sniper meta currently. I don't know what I'd suggest. Just revise it entirely and give us a whole new Hunter helmet - maybe something compelling for Nightstalkers in PvE? Even a simple buff to Shadowshot (longer tether distance, can tether an extra enemy, etc) would make for a nice case to take off my Bones of Eao.
I think astrocyte verse should become the warlock's "evade" exotic. Not sure how, but I'm sure something could be developed
dohmaster1 how about double tap B or [] while in full blown sprint to skip ahead a short distance like a complete teleport but with linear direction that requires the same wind up time as shoulder charge.
Toland Beyond I feel that'd be balanced, cuz while a teleport would give more safety than shadestep or twilight it requires set up time

currently warlocks are the only ones without an evade. I feel like Astrocyte would be a good place for that.
even something as simple as a strafe blink would be useful.
Why does rhe khepris never apply burn damage? Am I doing it wrong? Is it supposed to happen one tenth of the time. The coolest thing I have done with it is one shot an arcblade. It took about 20 seconds but he burned.
Death From Above is one of the most picked perks because it makes Fist of Havoc better, and it catches people by surprise. Im not sure why it was said that DFA wasn't picked often...
This is exactly what I think destiny needs right now. Too many of the exotics feel bland and uninteresting, with no builds that use them hard to work out. I love the fact that Dato goes that extra mile to consider how to improve the game and i think this one is right on the money. About the possible Immolation fist buff... That buff would practically make hammer of sol a much more offensive and powerful version of Shadowshot. Giving a more powerful debuff besides the tether but with the capability to grant higher damage to even more enemies and deals way more base damage. This could wipe ALL uses for hunters, as they'll not only deal good DPS and high burst damage to lots of enemies but it'll takeaway Shadowshot and Golden gun. And Arc blade is downright useless. Especially in places where reviving your teammates isn't a possibility. Although, I do think it should also maybe provide Scorched earth (I think that's what the perks called).
How about they buff the Astrocyte verse so it actually does something? Like reducing the cool-down of blink ?
I would add the ATS-8/Arachnid, Empyrean Bellicose, and Skull of Dire Ahamkara.
For the Arachnid, the zoom actively hinders me. I always ADS because that first level of zoom is perfect. If you could put it on a toggle (like with the Hereafter sniper rifle), that would up its usefulness, since the extended time is already good.
For the Bellicose, it just seems like an unwanted perk. Much like the Sunsinger perk that lets you hover, it basically makes you a sitting duck. Maybe like a vacuum ability for orbs or ammo would be nice.

And finally the Skull of Dire Ahamkara. The problem is that The Ram basically does the same thing, but all the time as opposed to just when you Nova. Maybe this can get retconned over to a Stormcaller perk, such as granting Chain Lightning or something. I'm not sure, but it feels outclassed by basically underused exotics already.
Datto how do u get 20+ sniper bullets I can only get 19 at most with exotic and sniper legendary armor piece and 18 without exotic

Um, you think that the first curse could have after the perk is activated, the first bullet is like the final round but on the first shot, and only if it is a headshot?
What about astrocyte verse and the stone looking helm for Titans (forgot what it's called its so bad)

There are just so many exotics that need reworking that it would take more time to think of ways to rework them than Bungie is willing to give cuz they still be makin money off it. "So what if it's broken and stupid? We're still making money on it so why should we change anything?"
Derpy, Arachnid, Lucky Raspberry and Praxic Fire are already decent enough. They're not top tier, but not every exotic can be top tier. They're already in a good place as is. The only thing that could even be buffed on any of the three is specifically Arachnid. Adding Deadeye to it is the best you can do without breaking them.
I use ATS/8 Arachnid, well, I would if I had it upgraded.
My biggest gripe with exotic armor pieces is that aside from they looking unique, most perks just don't do that much. Armantarium, two grenades. Cool. We have weapons that are exotic ( Like thorn or the ToM ) that have a super unique affect and add something that can be valuable. I like the idea of the warlock exotic. That would be an armor piece that actually has an affect on your character. I want exotic armor pieces that change your character or add an ability to your character. Something like more heavy ammo drops, two grenades, two melees just sounds too typical. The only way to get "two" of an ability should be through the actual subclass and for it you have to lose another ability. The reason why two fusion grenades and two lightning grenades are so powerful. You literally equip an armor piece that gives you more. I'd love to see more creative bonuses. ( just personal thoughts )

Sorry Datto I think Knucklehead radar should not be buffed at least with your suggestion because we all know that Knucklehead radar has Third eye but you want it to give people third eye and keen scout yes that would be awesome but there is one factor that you missed there is graviton forfeit that gives a nightstalker shade step so they may use Predator or KEEN SCOUT but if some one were to use Knucklehead radar they would get keen scout and third eye so then they can use shadestep so most people would be using Knucklehead radar as much or more then graviton forfeit which would put graviton forfeit right where knucklehead radar is right now.

For Titans I think insurmountable skullfort needs a little love, The whole transfusion thing on them seem dumb and should be changed. where there is a change to regen health on melee kills or give back melee energy. ACD/0 Feedbacks should get a one second decrease to the affect so it happens more often. Stand asides should get a added bonus of more agility or recovery. And lastly The Glasshouse should get Illuminated added to its perk.
Patience And Time Insurmountable Skullfort are amazing for the raid. Double melting point is so helpful.
Being a HuNter main, I would think that it would be cool to have kephris sting so it doesn't need to be a backstab. Knucklehead radar should be that when you get a kill, the entire map pulses and you can we enemies for a second.
Sorry I'm late to the party! Two exotics that I would like to see combined are Celestial Nighthawk and ATS/8 Arachnid. I just feel like if you only get 1 shot of a Golden Gun, you should be able to at least see what you're hitting very well (eyes of a hawk, right?). Change nothing on the CN, just add the zoom feature. I'll use CN in PvE until the day Destiny dies, just would like to see that merge happen (y)

I honestly think they should completely overhaul all of the exotics that aren't mainstream in either PvP or PvE. So like because helm of saint is so useful is PvE leave it alone but since immolation fists suck in both PvE & PvP they should completely buff it. I feel like no exotic should feel 100% better than the other, every single exotic should have its special place where it shines. Having some exotics more powerful than others really removes the whole "exotic" feel for most of the exotics. Same thing goes for weapons. The 4th Horseman is garbage even though it's exotic, that shouldn't be happening. Every single exotic should be better than every single legendary, there's no question to it

ATS/8 ARACHNID and Achlyophage Symbiote should also be combined into one Exotic: Your Golden Gun gains one extra shot, zooms in for accuracy when aimed and can be kept ready for longer.
Don't Touch Me and Khepri's Sting merge should have a quest in Destiny 2. We can leave those two exotics behind for a new one which practically has the aesthetics and perks of both.
I've wondered for a while if it would be useful to have an exotic armor piece or artifact that would keep all your process/charges on your melee, nade and super when changing subclasses. i.e. when you have a nova bomb ready but realize you're about to get goofed, you'd be able to switch to sunsinger and have radiance ready. What do you guys think?

Datoooo how could yu forget the insurmountable skullfort?? The new titan gauntlets give you two melee charges plus an additional bonus, rendering the skullfort directly inferior.
I use khepris sting all the time, I never don't have it equiped (unless I try to have entire sets of gear on) and it's really good.

None, will a handful might actually be super powerful that doesn't mean they a to powerful, it just means the other options aren't on par and need to be balanced. None of the Exotics are actually that powerful they break the game.
Even the buff you suggested for Knucklehead Radar would not be very good as it could still just be replaced by the relic since it already provides an improved radar.
I main Titan so I'd really like to see Eternal Warrior and acd/0 feedback fence get buffs.
Eternal Warrior should grant headstrong and reduce flinch/ increase stability while ads. Titans no have something to compete with bladedancer QuickDraw or ophidian aspects.
Acd/0 should increase melees range to compete with hunters and warlocks as well as provide the damage wave on hit
Headstrong and Death from above are almost enough to lose a grenade... but adding aftershocks would make it a very compelling choice
Khepri's Sting buff idea: Allows to crouch and become invisible for a short time. When uninvisible you release a poisonous gas (similar to the smoke and also beetle?) this wouldn't do a lot of damage...just to stun and deter enemies in PvE and PvP. Very similar to the "Feedback" gauntlets but it'll be good
Immolation Fist buff needs to happen. Makes the entire subclass way more relevant for strikes and raids.
Helm of Inmost Light is fine for me imo, combining Death from Above & Shockwave rly gives Fist of Havoc some range & surprise to ppl in PvP.

for don't touch me it should be where you turn invisible when hit but you start healing immediately and give max agility stats , and khepris sting should have the same perks but with a shorter wait and cool down time for invis and a longer bs distance

I feel like they should also buff skull of dire ahamkara. Change it so increases damage of Nova bomb, so it changes voidwalker's role to damage.
I use the sting if you go invis with golden gun active it poisons the enemy (unless they patched it) the effect is weaker than thorn's but it helps. (although with the nerf to the year 3 thorn the sting might actually be stronger now; thorn's devouring essence really is only good when you spam it non stop until you have no ammo it's a lackluster exotic and it needs a PVE buff)
Knucklehead's new buff would kill graviton forfeit's usability

Regarding Knucklehead there are better artifacts to use than Memory of Ghelon so that doesn't come into it if you're using nightstalker (as there aren't any decent exotics for that class)

Eternal warrior definitely needs a buff in my opinion, it looks cool too, maybe they could make it so that it actually gives the armor stat instead of just gaining unstoppable.
I have always thought that the Sunbreaker gauntlets should make your immolation grenades create sun spots on their explosion point.
Another top 5 exotics that need buffs could be: Lucky Rasberry, Mask of the third Man, Astrocyte verse, Skull of dire ahamkara and mark 44 stand asides
I had a similar idea to the hunter gauntlets. They should have two slots for the hunter arms. Since I'm bladedancer. I could use shinobus vow for skip nades and kherpri sting for melee
