this was the most beautiful moments in my life seeing the man damon the biggest inspiration in my life, singing, performing smiling right infront of me live, love this fucking man,
I find this man so effortlessly genius for two reasons; •He’s managed to create three successful bands I can name instantly, but has stood into at least 10 different groups, bands and musical acts and shows that have gained similar success yet you might not even know their names. •And he writes everything he has been a part of. He is sole creator, everything is his. But he doesn’t let you know that. Gorillaz is a prime example. He has shared co-authorship with Jamie Hewlett despite him not writing anywhere near the amount he has. And to further reinstate his genius, he writes lyrics as pure nonsensical jargon which he leaves you to interpret. They’re very well put together words, but never had he ever revealed what they mean, he leaves it up to you. The listener. The person who keeps him motivated to explore every genre known to man, from reggae to rap and rock to RnB. Mr. Albarn is unstoppable!
Scotia’s Channel you’ve nailed it. I remember watching Demon Days Live in Manchester for the first time and NOWHERE in the credits, packaging etc does his name appear. He’s a humble, generous man
Cut to the seagull The quarryman The castle The barnacles The cliff edge The joy Up in the tower that looks out to sea The pink dressing room bell Of the lady is ringing She looks from the shadows Out through the stained colors of old glass The sorrows of slate and sugar cane are hers And where does she go now? And where does it seem to be free? And where does she go now? And where will she carry me? If this is the end The line in the sand The blue dressing room bell Is ringing the lord He wishes the head of the whale Who lived under the ice Until shipping lanes sliced Open the North Pole Leaving a great hole And where do I go now? And where does it seem to be free? Where do I go now? Where will you carry me? Man, the other 3 members of the band feel so ancillary to Damon, despite at least 2 of them being pretty dang prominent figures in music (guitarist of the Clash and bassist of the Verve...Tony Allen is awesome but I don't think he's nearly as well-known). I remember when I went to an album signing event in promotion of Merrie Land, Damon was the only one who looked like he wanted to be there. The others barely talked unless they were chatting to a Rough Trade employee.
At Glastonbury, the mix that goes out on BBC is different to the mix live. I was at this and it sounded quite different. I think they've just turned the choir right up at the end for the broadcast?
would have been nice to have heard the choir and the strings. The mix could have been better and that arrangement didn't really give them much space. Bet it took ages for them to all troop on and off the stage as well.
What the fuck is the drummer doing, completely crambling the ending with the beautiful vocals. Paul simonon needs a tight, groovy drummer to lach on to his playing. The good, the bad and the Queen are a great band full of a,axing musicians and ideas, but the drummer doesn't cut the vibe x
Damon channelling his best Paul Robeson! Except Robeson as a communist would never have supported the imperialist citadel that is the E.U but yaknow...
He's working hard whole life. But he does what he loves. He does what we all love.
💕
Wrth dy gefn di met!
Tony Allen, rest in peace in heaven.
I love this. Damon Albarn never disappoints.

What a combination of musical genius... Rip Tony... Keep the beat up there for us

I'm pretty sure Jamie has written 0% of the Gorillaz music.
Jamie don't write. Damon don't draw though!
so much respect for this man!
Damon + Paul on bass... The Clash will never die to me ! Thanks Damon to bring this fantastic musician on stage also with Gorillaz.
Renaissance man. An abundance of talent with no sign of abating. x

Damon is a fucking master of his trade. The choir escalate this track to interstellar heights.

I was there! It was fucking ace. Paul Simonon was brilliant.
Hope he won't stop making music. This is so beautiful..
he is amazing... still and always... Since 1990, I still can't believe how "young" he still is (and looks)... (unlike me)... :)

Big fan from BRazil. 🙏👏
Wow, I was not expecting this! What fun!
Must admit, it feels a bit weird to see him play Glasto not in the Pyramid stage
I think it's because TGTBTQ just aren't as large as Gorillaz/Blur ya know
Superb

สุดยอด โคตรรัก
Isn't that the bass player from the Clash?
yes, Paul Simonon
,😍😍😍😍
Damon made my day
The mixing sounds kinda weird in this one
Yeah, the sound guy did them kinda dirty
@@Spikeygal super dirty this is awful. I'm thinking it might be the microphones bbc used? this can't be a soundboard recording.
At Glastonbury, the mix that goes out on BBC is different to the mix live. I was at this and it sounded quite different. I think they've just turned the choir right up at the end for the broadcast?
Is Damon Albarn the Hideo Kojima of music? The answer is yes.
am I dumb and this has a weird time signature or are they actually out of sync sometimes? o.O
they are all over the age of 50 i wouldn't be surprised if they slip out of sync. it sounds good still tho
Tienes el cielo bien ganado Damon Albarn
are they a Welsh choir?
😀😃😆😇💕💕💕
Paul Simonon is god!
would have been nice to have heard the choir and the strings. The mix could have been better and that arrangement didn't really give them much space. Bet it took ages for them to all troop on and off the stage as well.
Paul Simonon
Damon is a genius
terrible sound quality c'mon bbc you can do better
Damon Albarn is God
Iechyd da boyo
Blur, Gorillaz and The Good, The Bad and the Queen frontman "Damon Albarn"!
Is it me but the older Damon Albarn gets the more he looks like Harry Enfield
Diolch : )
Nobody else getting Floyd ??
From the airport? What time?
What the fuck is the drummer doing, completely crambling the ending with the beautiful vocals. Paul simonon needs a tight, groovy drummer to lach on to his playing. The good, the bad and the Queen are a great band full of a,axing musicians and ideas, but the drummer doesn't cut the vibe x
The king of afro-beat, Tony Allen? I like his drumming, shame he passed away and that TGTB&TQ is over for good :(
Damon channelling his best Paul Robeson! Except Robeson as a communist would never have supported the imperialist citadel that is the E.U but yaknow...
Arrrgh... Tender is the zzzzz..
