*Finally y’all get to see a good view of our newly painted kitchen cabinets & I can’t wait to share our backsplash next Monday! Things are coming together!!! 🥰* *Also, if you make any of these recipes… let me know which one you try & what you think!! They’re all so yummy!!*
Just turned this on.. Looks very exiting. Got some nice home making summer to do going on. Yeaaaaa buddy.... Now I'm gonna watch it all. Ty sweety for creating this video
Your kitchen looks like your Utah’s kitchen? Does it mean that you chose a stone looking backsplash? I’m sneaky, I went and found your old video from Utah. Cannot wait 😂🌸🌼🌺
Hey Amanda!! Put a slice of bread in your brown sugar. Once that slice has gotten hard, put in a fresh one!! And you can do this also if your brown sugar has gotten hard...it will make the sugar soft again!❤
Definitely use the bread idea in our home, but you can also get these terracotta disks you soak then put into the sugar container. Does the same thing.
I agree it’s sad when your kids grow up so fast. I remember going through my kids clothes and donating them to our neighbors. My son just graduated Saturday 😢😊 and time flies by so fast. Enjoy each moment with them. And thank you for all of the inspirational videos. ❤
Oh my Goodness, I wish I had all this information when I was raising my children back in the 80's the internet has changed the game for me. Thank you for sharing! I was cleaning out my pantry and had a jar with brown sugar in it, I'm Keto so I no longer eat sugar, and decided to get rid of it and it was at least a year old. When I opened that jar I could not believe it was soft as a new pack. I guess the best way to store Brown Sugar is in an airtight glass jar!
For your brown surgar get a terra cotta round soak it in cold water dry it off so it isn't wet but is still cold and moist then drop it in with your brown sugar. Works like a dream. I have three small terra cotta frogs I wet once a month an my brown sugar is as soft as the day I bought it.
@@maryinmichigan2626 I love them. I used to use bread but I had trouble when I moved I found a cute etsy shop that sold terra cotta shapes and I love frogs so I bought the frog and it came in a set of three because of the size and I use all three.
So nice to go along with your homemaking video this week. I’m on rest at the moment as a broke my wrist last Wednesday and had to have surgery to have plates and screws put in so no cleaning or homemaking for 6 weeks for me. ❤🇦🇺
I am way off on my cleaning right now. My husband has had some serious health issues lately. I think I’m kind of depressed about everything. I just can’t get myself to deep clean, and do all of the things I usually do. I really enjoy your channel. You are so sweet and you have the most calming voice. You were actually the first UA-cam channel I found during the pandemic. I was hooked after the first one! I am loving your kitchen! Omg. It’s gorgeous. Your whole house is! I hope you have a great weekend❤❤
Hi sweet Amanda, so happy to slow down and watch your video. Amanda sweet friend my husband had a stroke a brain bleed this past Monday. He was taken to a stroke center in one town, and then life flighted to the big hospital in the bigger town where neurologist and surgeons were waiting. Thank God he didn’t have to have brain surgery. He was in the ICU for several days and he was then put into a private room . Thankfully, he is doing well. He is paralyzed on his right side. His speech at first was very slurred, but thankfully, he is speaking much clearer. Each day is having physical therapy and now we are waiting for him to be excepted into a nursing rehab center. However with a holiday we a waiting. I’m sure hopefully we will hear something by the first of this next week. Please keep us in your prayers. Thank you Amanda for sharing all these yummy recipes. Everything looks so delicious. Take care until next time.❤
Those flour sack towels are excellent for cleaning! I used them for cloth diaper inserts too. I would recommend washing them before use, it will make them more absorbent and soft than they are brand new. They definitely get better the more you use and wash them!
I move in this home in November and have been dealing with health issues and 2 toddlers. So I am no where near being where I need to be so my home can serve me and my family 🤦🏽♀️ Overhwlemed is an understatement. I'm glad to see yours is coming along. Blessings!
Girl! I went to Greece in 2019, my last REAL blessed trip!! ANYHING TO TAKE ME BACK, ESPECIALLY IN TASTE, FLAVOR, FOOD I AM ALL FOR IT, AFARASTO/THANK YOU!!! I will be adding that Greek Quinoa Salad. And some of the others too, 😉 thanks so much Amanda!!
I love using flour sack towels in place of paper towels! I live in a small apartment right now so I just throw the used ones in a pile and take them all to the laundry when I finish the meal prep or cleaning session
Love how much you and your husband care for your home, everything you refinish and restyle looks great! Gotta say though, picking up all of the toys scattered throughout the home…big NO in our home, if they drag it out, they pick it up and put it away. A little different in their bedrooms but, they still need to put the toys up every few days. It’s too exhausting bending over 30 times a day for that.
I am so trying that quinoa salad .... looks so yummy! I’m excited for summer with my kids and husband... he’s a teacher and I’m blessed to work remotely.. bring on the sun!🌞🌼
Place a slice of bread into your brown sugar container. It works, but occasionally you have to change the bread because it gets dry. The crust is perfect for it.
Crazy busy day so just getting to watch this before bed…now I’m hungry! 😂 I bought three of those veggie trays and we love them! My husband makes a salad bar for the week, and I even used them to make adult lunchables for a concert picnic!
a slice of bread in your brown sugar keeps it soft for a very long time . . . when the piece gets really hard - simply trade it out. has worked for me for years.
Hi Amanda, I don’t comment a lot. I love your channel. I’m trying to change my eating habits for a better healthy life. I definitely will be trying your ranch recipe. I love ranch. Thanks for sharing with us. Have a blessed day 😊😊
I have a little pottery disc that I soak in warm water and add it to my brown sugar, also if it is hard I use a juice glass and fill it half full of hot water, cover it with seran wrap for half an hour softens it perfectly!
Amanda, I make up soup bags for the freezer that I can throw in pressure cooker made with a onion, couple carrots and stalks of celery diced up. Then I can just grab a few fresh vegetable, diced them and throw together. I make up either egg, tuna, or chicken salad ready to go in fridge for a quick sandwich, soup dinner on busy days. And I just love chia pudding!!!
Hey beautiful, growing up my mom always had an apple slice in her jar of brown sugar. It worked and as I became an adult, I did the same thing. Now, I make my own and it takes about the same amount of time to make your ranch dressing. Were almost done with school, so I'll be back on track with meal planning. I'm going to try your recipes you are so kind to share with us.
Hey Amanda I am totally with you when you felt sad that Noah can’t wear those clothes anymore. It happened to me as well. I felt sad when my youngest one outgrown those clothes that her elder siblings had passed down to her. I thought I was the crazy one that felt sad over such matters. I even cried when those baby clothes cannot be worn by my youngest one anymore. So I am not alone ! Thanks Amanda for letting me know that.
Add a piece of bread in your brown sugar, change it every month. Keeps your brown sugar & baked cookies too super fresh! Pro tip: you can zest your limes, lemons & oranges (first) before you juice them, and then just freeze the zest in baggies and add the zest to your recipe’s when you want that kind of extra zingy flavour to your cooking and baking.
Loveloveall your videos. I often watch on TV so I don't comment much. But I have to say, your family is a joy to watch. And I look forward to your next videos each and every time!❤
Hi Amanda, wonderful job as always, proper planning prevents poor production . It takes alot of time, and planning for success, and u r doing a great job. Continue to lead the way for us. Your food prep madame hungry.
These are the videos I luv❤❤I get inspired to cook more recipes even though I’m by myself you make gluten and dairy free meals which I need😍😍Thank you!
I recently told me husband i want to do better about meal prepping so i just purchased a one time membership for thefamilyfreezer and I really like it so far. It allows you to pick meals and it will create a shopping list for you and you can edit it and cross off items you already have. You can choose by protein or even if you wanted to eat vegan. Another part I really like is if I don't know what to cook i will put in what I have sitting in the pantry and it brings up recipes the allows me to use what I have sitting around rather than letting it sit and go bad. Definitely worth checking work.
I just want your motivation and energy! Watching this amazing transformation and dinner preps is so satisfying. I wish I had the energy. The month of May was a beating, I’m a teacher, and currently in my first trimester. I’m just exhausted and nauseated 24/7. Thank you for sharing as I get to enjoy a clean home for almost an hour 😂 (duration of the video)
Hi, I was told keep your brown sugar in a air tight container, it needs to be on the smaller size so not too much and trapped inside the container, so it doesn't a!low air to pass through. You could also cover sugar with pieces of damp paper towel, tightly cover with plastic wrap microwave for 1 to 2 minutes then work sugar with a fork to separate clumps then use immediately.
I put my brown sugar in a ziploc bag, squeeze all the air out and then put in an airtight container (I use a snap lock glass container) it is always soft and not lumpy.
My dear sweet Amanda, you are a true blessing to this grandma. I love all of your videos here and on your Kyle and Amanda Vlog. God bless You and Kyle for all that you do for us, your home, each other, and your precious boys.. Blessings my dear sweet one.
Thank you for the recipes. Also, check your container if it's not air tight it makes a difference as well... also terracotta piece is great as well... Do your grill in the summer? all those recipes would taste great as well... what is the difference between garlic powder and garlic pepper???? what about fresh dill for the ranch? is there a difference? The chai seeds YUK 🤣🤣🤣 I'm glad you can eat it like that. 👍🏽 warrior women!!!!
Use Weck Jars. They are great for keeping food fresher for longer and keeping food like brown sugar soft. I use my Weck jars for almost everything for storing food in my pantry.
Amanda, I don’t know how you have the energy to do all you do! I love your videos and your family. Thanks for filming the vids and letting us in on your wonderful, crazy life.
One slice of bread in the container works at keeping the brown sugar moist. Although I saw a UA-camr have some kind of contraption in her brown sugar. Pretty sure she got it on Amazon. Kitchen is coming along beautifully, can’t wait for the backsplash video. You and Kyle work so well together. Kind of like when hubs and I were young. In our 60’s now but watching you both, bring back such wonderful memories. Dorene Weiss 🥰
Loving the kitchen so far! Thanks for all the recipe ideas. I love your food prep videos! Thank you for posting today! Nobody has been posting all weekend and I've been so bored 🤣🤣
Yes girl! Keep it real! I’d rather see a messy lived in house than one that belongs on a furniture showroom! I have 2 boys (19 & 24) so I’m totally ok with a little messy & lived in! 😉
I’ve been wanting to try some new and different recipes! I love putting pulled chicken in salads. I’ve made a croc pot chicken taco version. Where I add two chicken breast, a jar of salsa (any kind) and a packet of taco seasoning. Let it cook for about 4 hours in the croc pot. The shred it. It’s good on salads, nachos and tacos! I’ve been wanting to find some other croc pot recipes to help me with meal prepping. I wanna try some of these! ❤
I really want to try some of the recipes. BBQ mmmm😜 Never had Chia seeds either, so I will keep you posted. lol The cabinets are looking good!! Thanks for the motivation again on this day!!! 🇺🇸 Remember and Honor! ❤️
Hi Amanda those dinner recipes look delicious I’m goi g to have to try them yummy. I have round clay disc for my brown sugar they work so well you wet them let the dry a bit then put them in your brown sugar my brown sugar stays nice and soft. I am looking so forward to seeing your backsplash you picked out it will look so pretty your cabinets and counters look so nice. Have a great weekend ❤
Absolutely great video loved all of the freezer bag recipes. On your crockpot pork I cut mine in chunks to cut down on the cooking time and also use Coca-Cola to cook it in after I shred it I add my sauce.
I am finally back on track with my cleaning 🥳 The past few days, I have deep cleaned my bathroom, bedroom, living room, and most of my kitchen. I have also decluttered my closet 😁 So now I can just kick back and enjoy this awesome video 🥳
Great video, Amanda. I use the OXO container for my brown sugar. They sell a little terra cotta disk that fits inside the lid. Once a month or so, you remove the disk and soak it in water for about 20 minutes. Then put it back on the inside lid and it keeps the brown sugar soft. Super easy!!
Amanda, I have two lock n lock round container that has 7 I think sections in it. I use them for hamburgers for a crowd. I always use it for tacos.. and I prep veggies and fruits to put in there..add dip for the veggies.. I found them on sale at Macy's but I'm sure Amazon has them too. Everything is in one container...
Great ideas. I am totally going to do the Pineapple & Island chicken. Often when we are out enjoying summer when we get home we scramble to think of what to eat. Sadly, we pick up fast food, feel gross after, and regret the decision. Game changer, put in the crock pot before we head out and supper is done. I would have never thought to do this in the summer. I associate crock pot in the fall/winter?? I think I am going to try teriyaki sauce in the pineapple one instead of bbq sauce. We will see. Thank you again for sharing. Keep it coming.
I started making my own brown sugar. 4 cups sugar 4 tablespoons molasses. If you want lighter, add less molasses. Put in the kitchen aid mixer or stand mixer and let blend until the right consistency. Ive never had it dry out.
Hello- To keep your brown sugar soft try the brown sugar bear. I recently purchased them from Amazon... not that expensive plus comes with two (2). You soak bear in water, pat dry and place in with brown sugar. Works great!!
Wow, this one has a little bit of everything! The kitchen is looking great, can't wait to see the backsplash you chose. Thank you for such a motivating video!

@@lovalin4139 haha we shall see!! 😇 literally editing the Vlog for Friday right now 🙃
Hi Amanda. I have a brown sugar bear which I purchased last year. It works perfectly in my pantry storage containers.
Hey Amanda!! Put a slice of bread in your brown sugar. Once that slice has gotten hard, put in a fresh one!! And you can do this also if your brown sugar has gotten hard...it will make the sugar soft again!❤
this really does work! I use the end crust that usually gets thrown out
If you have gluten intolerant or can’t have flour because you have celiac it might not be a great idea just putting it out there
Definitely use the bread idea in our home, but you can also get these terracotta disks you soak then put into the sugar container. Does the same thing.
Brown sugar bear is definitely an option.
They sell stones for brown sugar.

I love watching sinks and flat top stoves being cleaned!
Bread in your brown sugar or get a clay disk. Change out the bread slice when dry and hard.
An important note: if you put bread in your brown sugar you can not use it for gluten free recipes.

An ecofriendly tip for cleaning sink and inox pots: use baking soda and dish soap. It's great and chiper.

Add a slice of bread in your brown sugar. It keeps it soft.
I am finally back on track with my cleaning 🥳
The past few days, I have deep cleaned my bathroom, bedroom, living room, and most of my kitchen. I have also decluttered my closet 😁
So now I can just kick back and enjoy this awesome video 🥳
The cabinets look great!!!! ❤
Amanda, I started making my hard cooked eggs in the oven, I can make any quantity I need and they turn out perfect every time.
I love your videos! I haven't watched in a while so I'm catching up where I left off. This is video 1 lol I can't wait to watch every video ❤
All the recipes look so good! Great motivation! Thank you 🙌
Great video, Amanda.
I can't wait to make these recipes for my loved ones
Excelente inicio de semana mi amiga Amanda saludos y bendiciones
Have a great week, Carmen!!
I used to do that when Luke was little & have no idea why I stopped 😅 thanks for the reminder!
Those recipes look delicious! Thanks for the meal ideas! I struggle with meal planning
I’ve always used a slice of bread in my brown sugar!
Hello- To keep your brown sugar soft try the brown sugar bear. I recently purchased them from Amazon... not that expensive plus comes with two (2). You soak bear in water, pat dry and place in with brown sugar. Works great!!
Thanks girl!!
Muy bonitos. Buena semana
Wow, this one has a little bit of everything! The kitchen is looking great, can't wait to see the backsplash you chose. Thank you for such a motivating video!
Thank you for showing the book ! I just bought it and downloaded to my Kindle !!
Thanks for all of your great recipes.
You can put your brown sugar in the microwave for a few seconds to soften.
