My best laundry room advice is the obvious- use your wall space. You don’t really need to decorate here; you need shelves or a pantry organizer or a pocket shoe organizer. Decor will just get dusty and be unappreciated. I also recommend getting a comfort floor mat (for the kitchen too!) Another thought is to avoid screw on lids for things you use frequently. It takes too much effort and time.

I agree with the screw lids. I had a glass jar with a screw lid for my powder laundry detergent, and it was a pain. I bought a different glass jar with a glass lid, and it's so much better. Our laundry is in the basement, so it's not pretty, but it is organized. I have a table with 3 small laundry baskets on it and I sort one for towels, one for me and one for hubby. I also have a 3 tiered cart in the middle of the washer and dryer with supplies. It works out great.

I absolutely agree and will add another container tip. Check your products before decanting into clear containers. Many laundry products contain ingredients that will breakdown when exposed to light which will reduce efficacy. Think bleach, oxygen beach, oxi clean products.
I think changing the cabinet door handles to something more modern would really give your laundry room an extra wow factor 😊
I like having pictures on the wall, rugs, greenery if possible, in my laundry. Love have a comfortable stool and folding table. It is essential to make a space that is so utilitarian to be welcoming.
It always makes me feel less stressed to have an organized area for things.

Love this! White cabinets, white bins and simple labels give this such a clean, calm and organized look. I can imagine you no longer dread stepping into this space. The Dollar Store buys kept this budget friendly. Well done!
Returned my sons bedroom when he moved out into my laundry room. Oh my goodness I love it so much. Makes you want to do laundry in a pretty laundry room.❤
Good idea on taking the cabinets down in the laundry room. You need a closet with a gazillion plugs to keep your vacuums out of sight.
Maybe the nook where you have your laundry baskets?

I would paint the walls the green color of the livingroom cabinets. I love that green color! And the same white on the cabinets in the kitchen. Make the entire main floor cohesive.

I organized my laundry room about a month ago. It makes doing laundry much easier. I don't mind going into my laundry room anymore. It's not so overwhelming now.

Boy, this video couldn't have come at a better time! After a massive storm here in Michigan, I am dealing with water in my basement! Needless to say, its a mess. It has forced me to go through absolutely EVERYTHING and I have been brutal about getting rid of things that no longer serve me! I'm in organizing mode with every single space in my basement now! I will be heading to Dollar tree to see what I can find!
I so love the open concept of shelving above the washer and dryer. I also love dollar tree buckets.
We used black metal piping to hang out clothes in in the laundry room. It's so sturdy.
We also have a small wooden table that holds 3 baskets. We use it for sorting laundry and folding laundry.
You seem to have a lot of cleaning tools to the left of your washer and dryer. Maybe make a station for all your gizmos and gadgets.

Most organized laundry cabinets I've ever seen
Hi Amanda, I agree 💯 on the cabinets being removed. In my case, it's a hassle because I'm short and have to climb up a ladder just to get what I need. Please don't get rid of your cabinets. They are useful. You can put wheels at the bottom so when you are in the laundry room, you can roll the cabinets out of the way when you are in it. That is one way of fixing the storage area and feel you have lots of space at the top. You can put open shelving just to the height easy for you to reach. And the cabinets you can put one on top of the other to make it like a closet cabinet and also put rollers to roll it out of the way. So you have 2 options to repurpose the cabinets.
Organize on a budget, dollar tree is the best option 👌

I use Command hooks on the inside cupboard doors. I hang anything that I can, rags, rubber gloves, dusting wands, razor blade scrapers. It saves a lot of room, especially for odd shaped things that don’t fit well in the cupboard. 🌺

Wow! What a difference. Good job organizing stuff! My Dollar Tree is disgusting. It’s dirty and never has the stuff that other Dollar trees have. I hardly ever want to go in there! Glad to see there are some stores that are stocked with stuff!

My kinda makeover! It is ORGANIZED in a great way! EVERYONE can find what they need if need be. Keep the cabinets! I think you might just need hooks or clothes line/ rack for when you hang things on a hanger on other wall.

I removed the label off of the large coffee mate(liquid) and put fabric softener in them. It’s clear as well. Love all the white bins looks clean and organized.😊

My last home project was a laundry room redo. It’s now my favorite room in the house. Crazy wild wall paper, a new base cabinet , finally a sink and we were able to use the last of our quartzite. It’s vey girly and fun.

I can't remember the last time I left a Dollar Tree and spent under $60😅 they always get me! This was truly organization on a budget. Also can't wait to see your fall decorate for 2023. My niece's 6th birthday is coming up in the start of September and at the end I'm co-hosting my family's first ever fall festival party for my 1yr old great niece to experience my love for this season. Dollar Tree, Target, Bath and Body Works, Old Navy, Walmart, and Marshall's have been robbing me with all the cuteness I can't say no to this year. 🫣🤷🏾♀️ The almost 6yr old knows how I am and is awaiting me decorating our house and passing out the family matching festive pjs and outfits lol

I enjoy going to Dollar Tree to find all the different containers they have. I have bought many of them for different areas in the home. Those round baskets I have found to be real handy in the garage. 😊

The square white bins with holes in them work great for organizing food in the chest freezer.
This organization looks like it was overdue and isn’t it the best feeling when you can find your stuff and it has a home and you know now not to overbuy bcz you know what’s there. Also the clear can bins worked out way better then the orange ones you had originally. I love that you took the time to exchange the bins that didn’t work. Even if it was from the dollar store. Every penny adds up. I was waiting to see if you guys were going to pull out your box of easy close hinges and swap out the cabinet handles and paint but knowing you and how you do things you will eventually make that space way more fancy then you probably need to but if you will enjoy it more then that’s what you need to do. For now it looks so good and I’m sure opening those doors now brings you joy and calm. I am the same way with how I organize. I loved that taking the label off the dryer beads made such an impact as well.

I love the idea of taking the label off of products so you can see what you have and how much is left. I never thought of placing your bins differently so you can tell they are empty. I have mine set the same as those filled and constantly pull them out to see what's in there only to find them empty. After watching your video, I went into my laundry room and changed them. Thanks for the tip!!

I would have removed the doors and face frames to make it open concept storage then those other bins would still fit. I do love how much attention you give to details and the time you take to lable everything. Satisfying before and after.❤
If Kyle could build a surround for the vacuum and mop it would hide the cords and they can still stay plugged in. Two sides up to the bottom of the upper Cabinet and a door, a built in.

We renovated our laundry room over the summer. It was in the basement and undeveloped but now there is drywall, cabinets, and maybe I went a bit overboard, got some nice wallpaper but at the end of the day I did it for myself and love how it makes me feel when I walk in there.

Love this! Hint regarding shelves you take out- wrap them with commercial movers plastic wrap and label them where they go, eg laundry room shelves or kitchen shelves, etc, this way the shelves are protected and together and you know where they go- I do this even if it is one shelf. The wall at the end of the room (end where dryer is) is just screaming for a large poster with color like a mountain waterfall or movie poster, etc, something that makes you smile and/or relax when you first see it.
My laundry is in my garage and it's only me and my husband and he does his own laundry. So we don't have a lot of room for overstock so I only buy what we need (unless a good sale). Bins help with everything even if not a lot of items...just looks better. So excited for the Pepto bathroom 💜💙💚💛🧡

I am all for an organized and functional laundry room! Mine is super tiny (machines are squeezed between 2 walls and it’s very narrow) so I try and utilize as much space as I can get!
