Seems like Herne Bay is your nemesis lol and that tiny dab was actually a tiny flounder. White underside not translucent and straight lateral line..😁👍👍👍
Not a good day at Leysdown only one Thornback, when you fished at Sheppey in the snow ,was that in Queenborough if it was have do you the location details please, cheers Nick
@@5555nickb when I fished in the snow it was on the swale at Sittingbourne just through Tonge. I'm going tomorrow but I'm gonna try at Whitstable west beach for flounders
@@5555nickb yes that right follow it straight down, it turns sharp left near the end and then it turns into a byway. You can drive down it but after a downpour it does flood and is very uneven
100 steps is further up down the private estate road at the end of becon Road takes you down to the boulders in the beach a good mark for rays smooth hounds and bass and a few stingers have come out there too that dab was definitely a flounder Ive had a few along there at the coastguard tower as well as dabs and rays and hounds herne bay is underestimated the more you fish is the more you understand it I'm local and get some great fish here even had a plaice last November of Neptune's in fact I've had a few plaice off here but only by chance
Yeah I can definitely see it's a flounder now when I look back, just one of those shouts in the moment! 🤦♂️ I once called a Ray a cod😂😂😂 I am gonna persevere with herne Bay but still cannot wait until we can travel to fish
flounder beats a dab in the game of fishing trumps so it's plus but either way beats a blank or a whiting yeah perseverance will pay off the definitely but the weed is just starting to show up as the tides are building here happy hunting 🤙🎣
Oh well, a dablet is better than a blank. I can see Grain and Sheerness from my front window, but cant travel there......so I've stopped looking out of the window😔 🐟
Hernebay brother i would try near Hampton near the pub side wear thay let rowing boat s out there me and my brother smch it down there and we was casting well close big cod and bass from there top trip brother
Greg. Do you deliberately choose bad weather or is it just coincidence? Give us a shout when you go fishing and I'll avoid it! Seriously, you keep me going through Lockdown as I'm shielding. Keep the videos coming. You are doing a public service to those of us dying to get out but can't. I salute you sir.
I know where you are fishing as the hundred steps. Also good for stingray later in the year. P.s. the hundred steps might a bit further along near the bend in the road.
Putting the hard yards in,looked like a flounder to me too. Don't what to sound like a know all,but why don't you get a spare baited rig ready, you will save loads of time !
Thanks for the video, Greg. I was supposed to go out this morning, but didn't make it! I did however put some rigs together whilst watching your video, so all-in-all it was a productive 45 minutes. I've invested in some no-knot leader/line for this year, as last year was horrendous trying to haul line up the wall at the Warren and having lots of weed wrapped around the leader knot. At £15ish a pop, it's only coming out when absolutely needed! Having a shorter leader length might help too. I've just ordered an iPhone tripod, and am determined to woo you back down to the Warren with footage of big fish! Now I've jinxed myself, so... P.s. It's funny you should mention the 4 dislikes. Look at the like/dislike ratio on my (only) video (spoiler alert, it's 4/2!!), so your several hundred/4 isn't so bad!
😂😂 I'm not really moaning about the 4 dislikes but it's amusing how I always get 4 in the 1st few hrs so I thinks it's probably the same ppl. It's all good tho I don't actually care! 🤦♂️😂 All I want to do is get a fish, I don't care whether its decent or not! 😂 It's been really hard going in North Kent since Xmas. The no knot leader sounds good, should hopefully let alot of weed slide off👍
Alan that small flatfish u had was, nt a dab buddy, it was a small flounder.
You might be right, I just looked again👍
Seems like Herne Bay is your nemesis lol and that tiny dab was actually a tiny flounder. White underside not translucent and straight lateral line..😁👍👍👍
Yeah I've looked back and I agree it was a flounder 👍 herne Bay definitely isn't kind to me
Keep up the fishing Allan well done, I’m off down to Leysdown tomorrow with my new Sonik . Cheers Nick

Yeah I think I was🤦♂️👍
Seems like Herne bay is good for vegetarian fishing. Plenty of seaweed. Yum.
Lol! Yeah there is alot of weed and even in the winter which is really frustrating
I think your jinxed with hernia bay.
😂

Where are you getting your bait?

Hi there can you please let me know what that think you use to put wroms on your hook please
It's a standard worm baiting needle. You can get them from any tackle shop or online. Makes baiting up easier
I think you need to go to Seasalter for big Flat fish and you can dig Maddie's
That's where I'm heading at the weekend! 👍
Good luck mate
Same weed over the island lol a bit of a pain
It's a pain mate and it's also a pain that the fishing is pretty poor atm. Hopefully the rays will start showing in numbers soon
Yer had a go yesterday and today with no luck hopefully should pick up soon I'm trying again tomorrow so fingers crossed 😊
Another great video to watch in lockdown when you’re to far to travel be nice to see you and aram teaming up at a mark when lockdown ends
We will be doing that for sure👍👍
nice one ✔✔✔
👍
I've fished hernbay many tides ago and it was crap haven't been back since done better at Seasalter near the old battery.
I've never had good experiences at herne bay either 🤔 I don't know why
8 adverts for a single flounder, you cheeky beggar! hahaha
Lmao! 😂😂😂 Is that, what you went through to see that! Dedication mate, more than I had fishing for it! 🤦♂️😂😂😂
Not your luckiest beach m8 nice to be out though 👍
No it's not! But a fish is better than nothing I suppose 🤦♂️😂😂
