It is very sad that here in the west, India isn't talked about much and when it is, it's usually only negative. I had not known much about India prior to this and Karl Watson's series. So thankful for this exposure because this truly is one of the most diverse and beautiful countries I've ever seen.

@Air Nomads I feel so bad about this because we Indians are not negative but the media always try to portray we Indians as poor and unsafe to stay. Its a huge country and so diverse. And when I see some one say that we aren't safe I feel even more bad cuz they didn't even come here to see how it is actually and just judging us by watching some biased news and reports.

Once you go to Northeast south each place has it's own history and significance! There are 29 states in India.. and 29 absolute different diverse culture..in every possible way nature food everything you LL experience here! But still one thing that keep all of us going.. India! When I first saw ep 1 in my recommenders list, I was skeptical at first. Here we go, I thought. Another group of foreigners prancing about in “budget” hotels and lapping up the luxury. I am SO SO GLAD I was proved wrong. Seeing my motherland from your perspective, and seeing your faces absolutely glowing with joy when you three discover something magical- it just warms my heart. I have officially missed two classes to catch up with episodes 6 and 7. I may be failing my Psychology class. And it will be worth it. Have a fun trip, and stay safe.

There is pretty much everything in India. From hot Deserts of the West to Forest of the East. From Beaches of the South to Rivers of the Center to Mountains of The North. Great episode again.

The country is so cheap that even if there was nothing here these people would fap to the barren land.
The title of your video "Can't Believe This Is INDIA! " and the beginning of your comment above "Can you believe this is India?" sums up an average western person's thoughts/impression on India. This thought process has been going on for atleast a couple of centuries now and it is still continuing as of 2018. What you saw in this video is a minuscule piece of India. You just scratched one little picturesque town - that's all. Many many more places like that spread across India. It's just that you people got so much used to watching on your television screens the slums, the beggars, cows/dogs and crowds of people walking on narrow dirty streets pretty much every time anything related to India comes up. Hope you will dispel some of these stereotypical images in the west by sharing some of what you saw in India personally with your friends. But I don't have much hope even if you do share, as there are simply millions and millions of you westerners who hold some very strong opinions and imagery of India in your minds.

I suggest you should change the title to "You wont believe this is India". India has some of the best destinations in the world. Western Media only highlights, slums, cows and rubbish that they see in some North Indian cities. Shillong in the state of Meghalaya is known as the 'Scotland of the East' and it was named so by the Englishmen. We have Kashmir and Kerala two of the most beautiful nature spots you can see. Places like Idukki, Ootty, Lonavala, and most of the North Eastern states have stunning mountain ranges. Snow in Himalayan ranges, Desert in the West. Some of the best beaches in the world!!!!! And you still say you "Cant believe this is India"?? :-)

It is true that there are people who con travellers, but it wont be done by establishments. So the first paragliding place you guys went to may be set up for people who want to experience paragliding but without the risk of jumping off a higher cliff. I bet you didnt think you would be making a snowman in India before you went haha, fair play though for climbing up that far considering your footwear and how deep it was.. The adventure park fail was funny, I wonder if it was ever as good as you heard it was? Super jealous of the paragliding though.. poor Lina haha, that was a pretty impressive way of dealing with it though, not much she could do ! 😂 I keep saying it but each new episode becomes my new favorite haha, this is 100% somewhere I want to visit when I eventually get to go to India. Do visit Darjeeling, Kalimpong and North Bengal this time. When people think about Himalayan regions of India, they only mention Shimla, Kulu, Manali, Uttarakhand but a lot of them are still unaware of the beauty of Northern part of Bengal. Nothing can beat its charm. The world famous Darjeeling is in Bengal, so do try to visit. Thanks.
Hello I am an Indian-Canadian and have lived most of my life in mountains. Well, India can offer you everything from cold high altitude deserts of Leh (Jammu and Kashmir) to Eastern Ghats, backwaters of Kerala, hot deserts of Rajisthan, silver sandy beaches of Goa and the list goes on. Having said that, there are still some jewels and virgin places that remain hidden from a normal tourist. Leh, Ladakh is one of them. I come from Kashmir (Switzerland of east) and have lived in Himachal Pradesh, I know for sure minus the terrorism, Kashmir has much more to offer to a tourist provided you know where to go and avoid the usual tourist destinations. Places like Leh in north and Gangtok in North-west have their own attraction. Well these two places are in my bucket list and hello India, here I come again.

@Mr.Tweezy007 sorry but you are wrong , there is a spectrum , you won't find slums all over India as you won't find mansions and malls all over India . But media would show only slums as If entire India is like that . There is a huge middle class , towns ,build houses etc which falls in middle but mainstream media would only show urban slums
For example if they are showing Delhi they will show old Delhi area with traffic ,bad roads , etc which less than 5 % of entire Delhi . This is not correct way of representing the country

I have been waiting for this! One of my favorite videos so far! So many of these places I know so well but haven't visited in so long. Me and my friend spent some very random hours in that nature park the last time I was in Manali. And I also did paragliding in Solang Valley, not from that small hill thing. We went up the ski lift thing and there were two different take off spots there. I don't know if they have stopped doing that or what, but I am glad you guys eventually found an opportunity do it. It truly is the best. I did it in January so it was freezing cold, but the whole landscape was covered in snow and looked amazing. But your spot was definitely higher up.
To anybody else traveling in the Himalayas and would like to go paragliding, I have a suggestion. Visit Bir-Billing. That's India's highest and best paragliding spot. It's a few hours from Manali. It's on my bucket list. I have been there and it is HIGH!

There *are* slums though and it is not bad accepting criticism. But the criticism from western media or world is not justified cuz they literally fucked us up in the past.
