How has all the paint held up after a year? I have the same bathroom but in blue.
Yup! Everything's still in tact after a whole lot of use. I do want to replace the faucets because they're little dull now but everything looks exactly the same.
We did that
My first apartment - a long time ago - was in an older home, built in the 1950s, and it had the pink/black tile and old fixtures….though somewhere along the line, someone put in pale blue paneling (ugh, it was sooo ugly) This was a time way before vintage bathrooms became trendy. I didn’t even ask my landlord, I just found a pale pink paint that looked good with the tile and painted the paneling. I loved that bathroom!
I’m blown away at how well everything came out. This was a big project and you both did an amazing job. I’m definitely saving this video in my DIY playlist!
Keeping that 1950s tile was the best decision, even if you would have had the money to tear it out and put something trendy. The black tones down the pink so that it's not all you see. It's the perfect mix of vintage with a touch of modern elegance. Yes, it was tedious labor but taking your time with all that detail is what gives it that extra special something that nobody can quite put their finger on it why it looks so nice. Anyways, be blessed and thank you for sharing.
Thank you so much! Blessings to you as well 🤎
Awesome! My bf and I are winging it too with all the same things, so thank you for passing on your wisdom and advice. I’m excited yet nervous lol
I’m so proud of You! It came out beautifully!!! I think the Black accents are My favorite thing. Shout out to Your HusBae!
This came out so good 😍😍, when I get my own place I would do something like that
You go girl the bathroom looks Great. By the way you make house calls I could use a makeover.
This came out so good! I love the finished look
Great job. I like that you kept your fixtures and updated with spray paint.
I will say your bathroom is not from the 70s.
Your bathroom is much older. I lived in 2 different homes built in 1959 and 1967. Both had pink, green and blue bathrooms.
I also suspect your sinks are porcelain. Bathroom tile work during this time was
Done so well that is why they are in such good condition.
You guys did a really good job. I also really like the floor lamp behind you.
What a great job you guys did. Your vision was on point. I love it.
This looks so good, Joy. I love everything about this bathroom makeover. I need that tile for my dinning room. 🖤
You killed it 😍😍... you’re so good at so many things and following you is never boring 😂❤️
Lovely transformation, I love it ❤️
Recently bought a 2 family. Renovating it small by small.
The bathroom tiles are super annoying, but I keep reminding myself that I plan to get it redone in the future.
I’m here for ideas (short term).
That turned out really well! What a transformation for just a few hundred $$ 😯 I am currently working on a similar bathroom vibe.
You did an AMAZING job!!! I love it all!!! 😍 And yes I want to see another video!!!
You are absolutely GORGEOUS. The bathroom looks great
You guys did a awesome job! Looks great!
Love it!! I have a pink bathroom in need of serious renovations but you gave me some good ideas in the meantime. 🥰

You guys ROCK
I am moving into a new place with a bathroom that's all pink tiles... thanks for making this! Gave me good ideas!
Girl I’m sooo jealous of your pink bathroom tile 😍😍 mine is a weird freckle brown and green it’s ugly lol
I needed this my new apt has this retro pink🥴
I bought a house a few years ago with a double vanity pink bathroom like yours. Only thing new in it was the sinks. It still had the pink toilet! I replaced that one but I too have been trying to salvage the pink bathroom but give it an update with paint. Black was what I was look at. For some reason the previous owners painted the walls peach color...bleh!
Love this video!!!
My bathroom same color I like your ideas
This pink retro bathroom is literlly everywhere in my suburban city.
How do you care for your plants?
I love the finished product, but I am sad you painted the gold faucets!! Still beautiful 😍
It turned out so cute!!! I'm definitely proud if you can't wait to see more DIY project. I love the whole vibe if the bathroom but the contrast if colors is my favorite thing, the contact paper against the sinks and the pops of black?! Yeeeesssssssss 😍😍
You did well girl...I wish I could do mine because i want to burn my bathroom up... It was my grandmother's house...but girrrrl😐 it's pink tile trimmed in burgundy 😑 with a blue tub and sink 😑😑 why did they think that was cute?? But you really did a great job
